Speed/ Calleigh #3 - Love Undercover

Oh wow you have no idea how much I have missed this thread. It's such a shame Speed was killed off so soon because not only did they have a friendship developing, there was great potential for a relationship with those two. They're polar opposites which makes things much more fun.

Oh I know I know. I missed them so much.
It's just a shame they killed off Speed *starts ranting against the responsible*. As you said it was a solid friendship and it was so great potential for a relationship, although I'm pretty sure they had had a relationship

The way that Calleigh defended Tim in not only Dispo Day & Lost Son, but BBYD as well, shows the two were closer than just friends.

I thought it was cool that we were able to see in 'BBYD' how much Speed's death still affected Calleigh. The way she said "You don't think I'm hurt?" (I think that was the line) was full of oodles of frustration and sadness.

The way she told "you don't think I'm hurt" kinda shocked me. Her voice was trembling and shaken that I still can't believe it.
I think it's the first time I could hear such a voice coming out from Calleigh's mouth.
Tim's death affected her, a lot, even more than Hagen's one. I'm sure about it.
Hagen's death shocked her, but Tim's affected her. She knew he didn't want to clean his gun and she had also tried to help him. Plus in "Lost Son", the same day Tim died, she had to lie to Stetler in order to defend him. I can't see how he couldn't affect her.

She kept fighting for him, and I'm sure if Tim had the chance, he would've defended her. Can you imagine how "Stand Your Ground" would've been if Tim had been alive? It wouldn't have been Eric by her side, it could've been Speed!!!

Gah, I would pay good money to see that. I don't think we'd ever really seen him get too emotional over anything except Wally in season 2. But we're not talking about Wally.

I imagine he probably would have had some choice words for the folks that keep trying to kill her. It would have been nice to see him react to something other than a case especially by at this point, he would have been working with Calleigh for quite a while.

Well if Tim hadn't died,
- he would have worked a lot more with Calleigh and I'm sure she would have been happy because of it.
- he could developed his friendship with her and maybe it could have been an actual relationship
Tim never got emotional, except during Wally's case, but I'm pretty sure he could get emotional if something bad happens to his friends, especially Calleigh.

I don't know why, but I can picture Tim in an episode like the one mentioned in the spoiler thread: with Calleigh trying to save that man's life, not being able to do it and then being slapped by his wife because of it.
I really don't know why but I really can imagine Speed (if he hadn't died) trying to do everything to defend Calleigh and then to help her after sucha a difficult psychological situation.

And yay! I love that picture. They look so innocent standing there all elbow-to-elbow. :devil:

'Invastion' though had to be my ultimate favourite Talleigh moment. Calleigh amused him with her adorkableness.

Speed: The sprinklers did a number on 'em, I don't think there's much left.
Calleigh: Did you look inside the upper lip edging?
Speed: Calleigh, uh, I've done this before.
Calleigh: Oh I know, It's just that...well I saw that journal article about how particles can get blown into the stitching and you can't see them unless you pull it apart.
Speed: (finished with the mask; looks confused) ...Now what do I do?
Calleigh: Alright I get your point.

I think s2 was Talleigh season. There were a lot of moments and episode saying "Talleigh".

Oh man I've missed this thread - so much Talleigh love! It's time to bring out the Season 2 DVDs, huh?

If Tim hadn't died I could see TPTB considering bringing out a relationship between the two. The playful banter between them added so much to their scenes, along with the little hints that they had been terribly close. *squee*

We had a lot of hints that they had been terriblly close:
-Calleigh's tatoo.
-Calleigh's concern for him.
-Whenever he was with Calleigh he was able to gave that lovely smirk *squee*
-Hagen asking Calleigh where was she going to sleep during "Body Count" and obviously the first person he mentioned was Speed.
-Calleigh being affected a lot by his death.
I think that, before deciding to kill him off *:scream:goes on ranting:scream:*, TPTB were just considering it.
I'm pretty sure that also in "Lost Son" they made Speed steal Calleigh's crime light for a reason. They could have made him steal Delko's one, but no, they used Calleigh's one......there must be a reason for it.
They're were very close and TPTB clearly suggested it but gosh they never developed it

Here's another moment I loved, although it was serious

Calleigh: At midnight?
Speed: A personal video *walks away and Calleigh follows*

Haha I love that one!! My fave is still from 'Dispo Day' ..just the way she looked at him & talked to him seemed a little "not just friends" to me.
too bad they couldn't have shown a development between them, I think it would have been almost comical at times. Her cheerfullness & his sarcasm... :lol: I could just see it!

That would make an interesing twist if Calleigh was to come up & confess that she & Tim had something going on that no one knew about. I would totally be the first to believe it too. And didn't they show Tim's face along with Jake & Hagen's on that blackwidow webpage?

Unfortunately Tim never was mentioned since BBYD and his face didn't appear on that website:shifty:. *shame, shame, shame:scream:*
Anyway I think it's because Coop never had the opportunity to know Tim.
I mean he said "and you guys...you speak so highly of the guuy" & we also know that Coop first appeared in s4, which was two years after Tim's death.
If Coop had been in s1 & s2 I'm pretty sure he would have mentioned Tim also in that website.
I mean there was such a good bond between Tim & Calleigh. I think it's impossible to deny it.

As a couple they would have been great, I can easily imagine it & also their possible family:adore:. They were just lovely together. I miss them.

YAY! I love that picture! And it's so cute how she bumps into him after. I also believe in that scene, he's talking about a kind of jacket and Calleigh's looking at him like he's insane and he sheepishly replies "allergies". He was only ever sheepish around her.

It's too bad we only had really one Talleigh episode--'Blood Moon'. That episode was full of squee-worthy scenes. *sigh*

I'm pretty sure that also in "Lost Son" they made Speed steal Calleigh's crime light for a reason. They could have made him steal Delko's one, but no, they used Calleigh's one......there must be a reason for it.

I was thinking maybe so they could add in the line 'I may kill Speedle' at the beginning of the episode to taunt the viewers for a half hour but I much prefer that they needed to show the 'relationship' so-to-speak that Speed had with Calleigh, which was way different than what he had with Eric. It was so cute how he was able to defuse her 'anger' about the crime light by being sheepish again. :devil: Plus, it was the first time he ever 'sincerely apologized' for something.

And Calleigh being 'mad' at Speed kind of reminded me of 'Hard Time':

Speed: Is she mad at you?
Delko: I don't know, I can't tell.
Speed: Then she's probably mad at you.

He knows her so well. :luvlove: Which I suppose is another hint that they were probably closer than they let on.

Ha, I loved that moment too for some reason. It's cute because they're probably the most mature out of everyone to look at evidence containing pornographic content but it was probably quite awkward for them at the same time.

That's what I love about them; they're complete opposites so they're able to play off of each other really well. There's been so many times where Calleigh's been bubbly and happy and Speed stares at her like she's insane but slightly amused too. It's adorable.

You know I hated Calleigh in that moment and I hated TPTB for picking up that line.
But then I felt so bad for her and I'm pretty sure she was affected by Tim's death and also by her line *sigh*
But as always I loved Speed being sheepish and defusing her anger.

Speed: Well, “stole” is-is very negative. I-I had borrowed it, and I had replaced it, I uh put it back.
Calleigh: It would be nice if you charged it first. I was at the scene and it flat lined.
Delko: Sounds like she’s mad at you.
Speed: Calleigh, I sincerely apologize.
Calleigh: Apology accepted. Give me yours.
Speed: Go ahead, it’s in my kit.
[Calleigh walks out of the room.]

I don't know, I'm suddenly feeling depressed because of the other couple, a sort of crisis & I though it was better to put them together in order to enjoy both of them, also because for me they're very similar. I don't know why but I think Jake remembers me a lot of Speed.

Jake reminds me a lot of Speed as well. It's probably why I'm drawn to that couple too. It's kind of funny because Johnny and Rory know each other.

Exactly. He seemed to be a lot more happy in season 1 (if you can call it happy) but in season 2 he was a lot more cool-headed and at times looking a bit grumpy. He definitely could have used Calleigh's touch because in the episodes where they did interact, he was a lot more animated and expressive. Ie: 'Blood Moon', 'Extreme', 'Invasion', 'Stalkerazzi' etc. It was always a joy to see them working together and there was this electricity about them. :devil:

And I love your banner, Florry! That brings me back to the good old days at least here, where banners like that were more prevelant. Love the caps used in it too, the scene in 'Death Grip'? where they were outside analyzing evidence contained one of my favourite lines from them:

Calleigh: *smiles* Nah man, you do the scrape, I'll do the tape.
Speed: Fair enough.

I don't know why I love it but I do.

Calleigh was always able to lighten him up....there was no need for electriciy in every room where they were:devil:

Well they were both from Death Grip. The first one is from the scene of "yoga clip":lol: and the second one was from 2 minutes later when they went outside

I love the scene in Tenderbox where they are collecting evedence and he tells her to get the tape & the sound proofing and she looks up at him and he gives her that sneaky little grin of his, and she smiles, and says deal. "Sigh" that always just melts my heart anytime I see him smile. Could someone please send me Speed for Christmas this year? Lol! I miss him sooooo Much!

I wish I could just have him sit on my couch. I don't care if I can't touch him I just want to look at him all day long!!! LOL! "Sighs".

& I love how she was always able to make him "smile". Even if it wasn't a proper smile she was able to make him grin &, let's say, it was lovely :adore:
I think that all the episodes when they worked together had that potential chemisty you can't deny. Plus it was lovely to see her being always so playful & him being that serious but not being able to resist her

I had no idea that there was a thread about Talleigh! I am thrilled *does happy dance*! Man, I loved the chemistry between them! it was so obvious that there was something between them and I always wondered why didn't ever mention it! Too bad they killed Speed so soon:shifty:
My favourite episode of them is Body Count and of course the unforgettable Dispo Day.....such a shame that Speed is dead

Watched Golden Parachute on A&E tonight. Not much calleigh & Speed, the 1st season he does get some great oneliners and more on screen time. love to see those eyes. i will be doing a new Talleigh video soon. Got inspired by the amile so I have the pefect song for it.
