'Canon' refers to something that is on the show--for example, Mac being a former Marine is part of the show's canon. ;) When it comes to shipping, people say that a pairing is canon when the relationship becomes established on the show.

I have a question, why is it when you join some of the ships, and post something, people don't answer your question or respond. I've noticed this a few times now, and It makes you feel uncomfortable being there.

I've spoken to a couple friends who say they feel the same the way. Like their are little groups that keep to themselves. Anyway's thanks for listening and hopefully you'll respond.

Hi here. I´d like to ask something I already asked some time ago.

I opened a shipper-thread called Aikes. It´s about the couple Aiden and Sheldon Hawkes from CSI:NY. Unfortunately it remains kinda unvisited.

I know it´s a rather exotic-pairing, and Aiden even-deceased. Nevertheless I don´t want to give up my ship yet.

So, is there a general shipper-thread where you can introduce you´re pairings?

Hi Detective_Burn. We don't have a specific thread set up to introduce pairings, but we can always bump older threads up by request to see if there is renewed interest. If you cannot find an existing thread, please feel free to post a request here or send one of the Moderators a PM. :)

At the begining there were responses in my thread, but as time passed they got fewer and fewer.

Maybe you could go there for an "investigative-stroll"?? Perhaps you find aspects I could renew, in order to save Aikes-thread from being the ghost-thread it is now.

I'm a big CSI fan and have been lurking in here for a while and finally decided to go ahead and join. It's going to be a long summer waiting for the season premieres so I figured this was a good way to help pass the time and meet some new peeps! :) :)

That's a difficult one for me to answer partly because I don't watch much CSI:NY. Also, if people are attracted to this ship, then more than likely they would post in the thread anyway. As you said, it is even harder to attract people when Aiden is no longer on the show and there are other very popular NY ships in full flow.

You could maybe ask people what their favourite/most memorable Aiden/Hawkes scene was, or find a few pictures to post of them in scenes together. :)
