Chapter 16
The next time they were all together was the reading of the will.
Greg had told Emma about Caitlin’s death when he had gotten word of it.
In the lawyers office was Emma, Greg and Blaze; Gil, Sara & Aaron. Judge Colt Stokes, the child services agent and head of the Las Vegas branch as well as baby Samuel and Sam Braun.
“Okay we are here today for the reading of Caitlin Skye Stokes-Clarke. Okay there are a few things first. Caitlin leaves her house in Texas to Colt Stokes. Folder A is to go to a Mr Sam Braun.”
Sam was passed a folder than contained an article saying Samuel C.Braun is the biological father of Ms Caitlin Stokes-Clark.
“She was my biological Daughter” Sam said shocked
Colt turned to Sam and said “Yes you are. Her mother told me before she was born.”
The lawyer turn and continued “To my Daughter Emma I leave you a safe deposit at the federal bank & My house in 7 hills, do what you want with it. To my grandson whom ever you are, a bank account under your mother’s name.”
“She left Blaze money. How did she even know about him?” Emma said just as Federal agent walked in the room.
“Sorry I’m late. Feredal Agent Eiger. Caitlin was in the federal programme. Ms Emma I can answer that. Caitlin was observing you and Mr Sanders both here and Boston. Mr Garnier you can continue” Agent Eiger said sitting down.
“Dr Gil Grissom & Partner have been given legal guardianship of Samuel Cruz Braun Jnr. All paper work will be arranged at the reading. Everyone except Dad and Sam receive a key to several safe deposit boxes in the federal bank. Duke Eiger thanks for everything, you were my best friend. I would like you to be Godfather for Cruz, I hope you except. God Bless you all”.
The Child services lady handed 11 month old Cruz to Gil as Sara signed off on the paper work.
Everyone signed off.
Aaron looked at everyone as he watched everyone get up and leave.
Greg turned to Aaron holding Blaze and said “And the family gets bigger. You’re a big brother now”
“Thanks Greg. My nephew is also my cousin.”
“Yeah and my sister is also my soon to be mother in law. God our family is fucked up. So are you going to be living with us?”
“I don’t know yet.”
They had moved to the house over a week ago.
A friend of Emma’s was living in the back house and looking after Blaze while they were at work and now Cruz.

Chapter 17
By now Sara was 6 months gone and the oldest of 6 Sanders children.
Dr Flynn put Sara on Bed rest after she was admitted into hospital with a scare.
Emma had been given a few days off and was enjoying it with Blaze.
Sara had decided to go sitting in the lounge for the day.
Emma was on her way home from a day of shopping with Blaze & Cruz, she knew her father & Greg were working a big case and they would be home in the next few days.
Emma’s phone rang just as she pulled out of the mall car park.
“Emma speaking?”
“It’s Sara. Can you get me some more Ice cream, peanut butter and vegetables?”
“Okay I’ll stop on the way home. By the way do we need any more milk and soda?”
“Danio says yeah. Can you get some vitamins too?”
“See you in an hour”.
When Emma arrived at the supermarket and turned to see Blaze asleep but Cruz was awake and alert. Emma got out of the front of the car in the parents park in the supermarket. Cruz was 16 months old so he was going to be easy to move but Blaze was going to take time.
So Emma decided to write up a brief shopping list.
6 lots of milk
Pregnancy vitamins
2 lots of mens vitamins
Variety of fruit and Vegetables.
Newborn nappies
Walker nappies
5 cans of baby formula
3 tubs of ice cream
Ginger beer
Eggs
Veggie burgers/sausages
Mince meat/ steaks/ sausages
Baby wipes
2 lots of peanut butter
Tonic water
Rum (Dad)
Whisky (dad)
Cheese
Chicken
Potato chips
Just then someone in a Mercedes Benz pulled up next to them.
“Emma is that you?”
Emma looked out the back seat door to see Duke standing there.
“Hey Duke.”
“So you need any help?”
“You not busy. It’s just Blaze is asleep, Cruz is wide awake and I haven’t got a trolley yet.”
“Give me a few minutes and I can give you a hand”
“Thanks Duke”.
So with help Emma started the shopping.
But half way through the market her phone rang.
It flashed Dad
“Hey daddy”
“Em where are you?”
“Grocery shopping after a very busy day. Why?”
“Just tell you we closed the case. The sheriff gave the whole of the nightshift off for the next 48 hours.”
“Duke’s helping with the shopping coz I took both Cruz & Blaze out for the day.”
“Can you get some cranberry juice?”
“Just getting it. Look I’ll get some beer for Greg and some sugary stuff and I’ll see you at home in 40 minutes.” Emma hung up and continued shopping.

Chapter 18
When Emma arrived home both children were asleep. She went into the back of the car and pulled out the bag with the frozen food in.
She rang the door bell and both Nick, Warrick and Greg answered the door.
“Boys get the babies and bags out of the car. I’m putting this away then laying down.”
Emma walked to the freezer put the food away. Looked around and saw the whole Nightshift including Aaron & Lindsey. She noticed Sara asleep on the couch and decided to join her.
Within the next 30 minutes emma was woken up alone without Sara.
“What the?”
“LadyBug it’s dinner time” gil said waking up Emma more.
“daddy. How’s Sara?”
“She up and walking around. Thanks for the Cranberry juice what was the total?”
“$128.97 I needed chocolate & aspirin”
“thanks for taking Cruz out with you. Dwight rang, he’s bringing his mother back for a few days.”
Emma swang her legs around and sat up slowly to keep from feeling dizzy.
“daddy Cruz & Blaze are fed?” Emma said as Gil supported her to where everyone was.
“the guys are taking care of them. Are you okay?”
“I’m not feeling very well. I’m just going to eat then go to bed”
“do you me to tuck you in? just like old times.”
“sure!”
Emma had been to the doctor’s earlier in the day but was in the waiting period. She hated the waiting period it was like waiting for exam results or having this butterfly flapping it’s wings within the stomach when she was nervous or had a crush on this really cute guy.
Greg walked up to Emma as she walked out onto the deck.
“Baby you okay?”
“Greg I went to the doctor this morning”
“Are you oaky? You’re not sick?”
“Sick yes but I don’t know what’s wrong. I’m just going to eat and then go to bed”
“I’ll deal with Blaze you just rest”
Emma lent in and kissed greg’s cheek.
Every plate had food on and everyone sat around the two outdoor dining tables. Sara & Gil sat at one end of the main table.
“Okay I have ask you here today for two things.” Gil said getting down on one knee infront of Sara to propose to her.
Sara looked surprised and started to shed a few tears.
“Sara Sunshine Sidle will you do me the honor in becaming my wife?”
“Yes. Get up” Sara said as Gil slipped the ring on her finger.
Cheers rang around the deck as the rest of the group congratulated the two.
Aaron looked at this parents then at emma who had hardly touched her food.
“Dad what’s the other bit?”
“Well Your mother and I would like to say that We are expecting again.” Gil said
“Like what? A baby?”
“Like triplet. And as of my 7 month I’m quitting as a CSI. Becoming a full time mother” Sara said smiling.
That’s what shocked everyone. Sara quitting a job that had gotten her so far.
