Our dinner was great; I haven’t eaten anything like it in a long time.
I had made my decision on the house but I just wish dad would decide.
Greg and I went to get Blaze as Sara & Dad hit the slots for a bit.
Uncle Sam sat in his chair in his office with Blaze in his arms. It was a picture I wanted to see dad as with more of his children. It was a bond that dad had had with me.
“he got hungry. I found something that looked like apple juice and gave it to him. He does have a nasty cough on him” Sam said.
I turned to them and smiled saying “we know he has colic. It’s not apple juice it’s ginger tea. Sam we will be over in the morning to look at the house.”
We picked up Blaze and headed back to Greg’s apartment.

Chapter 10
No one’s POV
Emma noticed that Greg wasn’t in bed with her and she could smell something nice coming from the kitchen.
She swung her legs around and headed to the bathroom with some clothes.
In the kitchen Greg stood with Gil while Sara feed Blaze and whispered words into his ears.
It was Friday morning and it was also the day they were going to check out the new house.
Emma began to sing a song in the bathroom as she got dressed, it was a song her mother used to sing to her.
Like a bird
I’m escaping
And behind me on the long highway is all
I’ve been thinking.
I’m going to bathe in the river
Gonna hold my head up
Not going to worry anymore.
Gil had heard her singing as he went to wake her up.
Emma walked out straight into her father.
“What made you sing that song?” Gil asked her.
“Dad I know the truth. Mom didn’t die; no one could ever find her. You finally gave up hope in finding her and told everyone you meet that she was died. I just got this feeling”
Gil took his daughter in his arms and hugged her.
“I think we should go check out the house.” Gil said guiding Emma to the kitchen.
They headed to the kitchen where Greg was fending off Emma’s breakfast from Sara.
Emma caught site of it and said warningly “Sara get away from my breakfast.”
She walked up to Greg kissing him and taking Blaze from his portable cot.
Emma cradled her son and speaking to him while she ate her yoghurt & fruit salad.
After breakfast they headed out in one Tahoe.
On the trip Emma rang her Uncle Sam.
It rang and was answered “Bruin house”
“George can I speak to Sam? It’s Emma”
“One minute Ms Emma”
Emma could hear footsteps.
“Emma what is it?”
“Sam do you have the keys to next door or do you think the estate agent can meet us there?”
“I have the keys I can meet you there and I’ll get the agent there. Where are you now?”
“on our way. See you in 20 minutes.”
“I’ll be there.” Emma said hanging up.
20 minutes later they arrived and Sam & the agent were actually sitting on front step talking.
Gil stopped and helped Sara out, Greg helped Emma out then took Blaze out & put him in his front pack.
“Gil, Emma” Sam said
“Sam this is my girl Sara and that’s Greg, Blaze’s father.”
Sam introduced the agent and they all turned around to see the front lawn and driveway before heading inside.
The main entrance looked huge with twin staircases on either side of it leading upstairs.
The entrance led to 2 doors and an open landscape living room.
One door led to a recreation room and the other to the formal dining room with a kitchen that joined on to both the living room & the dining room.
The living room had glass door that lead onto a deck. On one side of the deck was an outdoor dining area and on the other was a hot tub and a swimming pool.
Gil looked at Emma “I like it so far. Is that the back yard?”
Agent turned to them and said “back yard, side yard and spare garage and pool house”
Emma looked at the agent and said “how big is the garage?”
“4 car garage. Can we check upstairs?”
Everyone nodded.
Reaching the stairs they walked up and explored both of the wings.
They started on the left first was a smallish bedroom then a rather large bathroom which joined on to another bedroom. At the end of the hall in the left wing was a master bedroom that joined onto another bathroom. 2 doors left on the left wing, one was the laundry cardboard and a medium sized bed room.
The right wing was nearly the same but one of the bathrooms was actually a bed room.
The agent and Sam left the four of them to talk.
Emma turned to everyone and said “So what do you think?”
“baby I love it. But what about the horses?” Greg said.
“Uncle Sam has some. I love it too.”
Sara looked at Gil then Emma and spoke “Gil my answer is yes and Emma it’s perfect.
“so 3 to 1 looks like I can tell the agent well take it.” Emma said looking at Gil.
“no actually we’re all in. but we are definitely having a dinner party.”
Emma headed down to the agent and the others got into the car and waited for her.

Chapter 11
By the time they got back into the city Sara’s phone had rung twice but she hadn’t answered it.
On the third Emma wake up and said “Just answer it please”.
So Sara answered it.
“Sidle”
“Is this Sara Sidle?”
“Yes who is this?”
“Sara it’s your mother.”
“Mom, I haven’t heard from you since Theo was born. How are you?”
“I need to see you but other than that I’m fine.”
“Where are you?”
“Lake Meid. I live out here now. I’ve been out of prison now for 3 years.”
“why are you calling?”
“I need to meet up with you and Christopher. It’s important, can you meet me today?”
“I don’t know. I’ll call Chris & ask him but if so when & what time?”
“1pm by the calamari restaurant. I have grey hair now Sara Sunshine and a few more wrickles”
“okay if it’s that important. I’ll be there but I’ll talk to Chris. I’ll see you then. Bye mother”
“Bye sunshine.”
Gil turned Sara when they had stopped at the lights.
“Do you want me to come?”
greg was on the phone to James trying to find where they were living.
“If you don’t mind. She says it’s important. Gil I haven’t seen here since Theo was born”
They continued on their way.
It was 11am when they final reached a big house with 2 cars in the drive way.
There were two boys playing catch in the front yard.
Everyone hoped out of the car.
Emma heard the older one say “If you throw it any harder you’re going to broke a window. Remember what Chris said last time you broke a window”
“Yeah that I should be playing football instead of baseball. Aaron there’s people in the drive way”
Aaron turned around and said when he saw Emma “Emma what are you doing here? Hello Blaze”
“Aaron this is dad. Do you remember who this is?” Emma said pointing to Sara.
Aaron dropped the ball and hugged Sara “mom”
“Aaron you’re grown. I heard you’ve finished high school”
“Yeah top of my class. That’s my dad isn’t he. James talks about you all the time. Uncle James is at work but uncle Chris and the girls are here too.” Aaron said leading them to the house.
He turned around to Theo and said “Theo clean up the lawn then go clean your room”
“Sure things next game is basketball.”
They headed inside.
A voice said as they walked in the front door “Aaron wipe your feet.”
They continued in after everyone had wiped their feet.
“Chris where are you?”
“in the dining room. Why?”
“we have visitors.”
He guided them to the living room which joined on to the dining room.
They were greeted by banging music upstairs.
Sara saw Chris standing in the arch way.
“Hey big bro” Sara said.
“Oh My God Sara” Chris ran up and took her in a hug.
“Chris this is Gil, Emma who is Gil’s daughter and Greg is Emma’s fiancée”
“Who’s the little guy?”
“That would be my grandson Blaze” Gil said shaking Chris’s hand.
After introductions were done Sara told Chris that their mother wanted to see them at 1pm.
Chris agreed but decided to meet them there.
About 20 minutes before going to the restaurant, Sara borrowed Gil’s bathroom and took a Clearblue with her.
She read the instructions and took the test. She was late by a few days, the night before wasn’t the first time that she had slept with Gil.
It had been 2 weeks since the first time they had slept together after a drunken night out with the team.
Sara thought to herself ‘why now? God what will Gil say?’
The time ran out, she turned to look at the test. Double lines. Positive.
“Shit”
she took the test out with her after finishing and washing her hands.
Gil was sitting on the couch with a bottle of water.
He looked up to see Sara uncomfortable.
“Sara are you okay?”
She placed the test down on the table in front of him.
“is this what I think it is?”
Sara nodded.
“Another baby”
“Yeah. Do you remember that night 2 weeks ago that we got drunk?”
“slightly. You’re two weeks gone are you sure?”
“no but I want to go to that community clinic in town to check after we go to this meeting.”
“sara I know that this is may not what you want but would you consider in marrying me?”
“I’ll consider it okay. Can we go?”
“Sure. This bottle is for you. I’ll get some more for the car.”
Laura sat in the restaurant looking at two birth certificates.
Chris was the first to arrive, he saw her there.
“Christopher is that you?” laura said
“yeah mom it’s me. See Sara & Gil aren’t here yet” Chris said
“Gil who?”
“Sara’s boyfriend”
“how have you been Christopher?”
“Good. The twins are two different people. James is a mechanic he’s actually working at his new job today.”
“Theodore?”
“he’s good still in school. I have him enrolled at the school I’m working at next year and Aaron your grandson graduated from high school a month ago.”
Gil and Sara pulled into the restaurant.
“Are you okay with this?” Sara said
“the baby or being here to meet you’re mom”
“Both!”
“I’m fine Sara. Are you?”
“The baby yes. Mom I’m not to sure with.”
They arrived at the table when Laura and Chris were talking.
“Chris”
“Sara. Mom this is Gil. Gil our mother”
