Emma whispered into her dad’s ear “Take Sara home. We’ll talk about houses tomorrow.”
Emma passed Blaze to Greg who passed him to Sara.
Emma started to sign to her father. Father you love her .do something about it
Gil signed back why are you bugging me about it
Emma signed one last time I want younger siblings, I want someone for Blaze to call Auntie & Uncle.
“Which one of you is Nick?”
“That’s me. Why?”
“Nicholas Colt James Stokes. Nephew of Colt Stokes and Jasmine Clarke”
“Yeah how did you know that?”
“Damn Nicholas weren’t you playing any attention to my name. My Nana is your auntie. My mother was your cousin. I’m your second cousin and guess what dad’s your cousin by marriage.”
“Auntie Jasmine had this kid when I was a rookie in Dallas patrol. Shit you’re the kid!”
“Yeah da. Nick how’s Colt after Nana died?”

Gil took his daughter’s advice and offered to take an extremely tired Sara home.
Greg had taken Blaze & Emma back to his place, Brass when home as well as Catherine & Warrick.
Sara sat in Gil’s car and finally decided to talk “What did Emma sign to you?”
“She told me I should tell you how I feel?”
“And how do you feel?”
“Sara Sunshine Sidle I love you. Yes I know your middle name.”
“That’s okay because I love you too! But where are you taking me?”
“Home”
“Mine or yours?”
“Mine. Sara I want for you to spent some time together!”
It was 2pm in the afternoon when Sara could smell something so sweet coming from Gil’s kitchen.
“mm Grissom” she said getting up looking for grissom.
“in the kitchen”
there was a clatter of plates in the kitchen as Sara made her way down there.
Gil had his back to her. She wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed his bare shoulders.
“Hey” giggled Gil.
“Your ticklish”
“Yes and that’s one of the places. Do you like Chocolate chip Pancakes?”
“yeah it’s my favourite. Your giving me chocolate before work.” She said backing away and sitting on the kitchen stall.
“It was Emma’s favourite too!”
Across town a loud cry come from the spare room.
Greg had gotten up to see what the problem was with Blaze.
“Hey buddy what’s up?” He said picking him up cradled him.
Blaze started to cough; Greg rubbed his back and placed his dummy in his mouth.
They walked past Greg’s room and found Emma still asleep. Picking up his phone and rang Catherine for some advice.
“Warrick speaking?”
“Rick it’s Greg. Is Catherine up?”
“Yeah she’s just getting peeved off with the message in Lindsey’s room. I’ll just get her”
“Thanks Rick!”
Greg heard talking then a “Greg”
“Catherine I need some advice”
“What’s wrong?”
“Blaze and his colic.”
“You don’t want to give him medicine. Try some ginger tea in his bottle.”
“I think I have some of that wrong from when I was sick. That’s cath”
“Look after that boy!” She said before she hung up.
Blaze looked up his father and smiled as they walked into the kitchen. Greg put the portable cot on the kitchen bench and the put Blaze in it.
“So little man how about I make you a special drink for that cold and then I can make mummy some Chocolate chip pancakes.”
Blaze smiled up to his daddy.
Emma woke and could smell something she liked but didn’t get up.
She decided to ring her dad, she dialled and waited for it to be answered.
“grissom speaking”
“Dad”
“Emma what’s wrong?”
“Nothing! We need to talk about getting house.”
“I know what do you want? Big place where both our families can be raised.”
“Yeah what about Sumerland? Just like I dreamed when I was a kid. Dogs, horses, cars, motorbikes and lots of room to live and garden”
“We cant afford it!”
“Yeah we can. You know the jackpot winner”
“Yeah what about them!”
“Dad it’s me. I won it. Haven’t had the chance to spend it yet. I was hoping greg could have tonight off. He needs some time with Blaze”
“he can have it off but I’ll only call him if we need him. Sara loves C.C. pancakes too. She’s even trying to knick mine.”
“Love you.bye”
“You too.” Gil hung up.

A few hours later the gang minus Greg were out on their own cases.
A young couple pushing a pram walked briskly through the mall.
They stopped at sears and walked in.
Stopped at the baby section to find some things for Blaze.
“Can I help you with anything?”
“We’re looking for some things for our son aren’t we Greg?”
“Yeah. We needs some accessories for our new house.” Greg replied.
The personal assistant found the perfect basinet & cot for Blaze.
They finally got a lot of accessories for Blaze and thanked the assistant.
They headed to the bath section when they walked into a young boy who had baby blue eyes and brown hair who was tall.
“Sorry” he said looking at Greg.
“It’s okay. You know you look familiar have we met”
“Doubt it I’m only here after finishing school. Your wife looks a bit like my dad”
“I’m not his wife. I’m his girlfriend. What’s your name?”
“Aaron James Grissom. I’m here with my uncle James.”
“I’m Emma Heather Grissom, this is Greg Sanders and this little man is Gilbert Blaze Grissom”
“his name is like my dad’s”
“How? How old are you?”
“16 I graduated high school last week. His name is Gilbert Aaron Grissom he works with my mom here in Las Vegas”
“dad has another kid. He never told me about you!”
A fourth voice came “that’s coz he doesn’t know Aaron is his son”
There stood a young man near Greg’s age smiling. Greg knew who he was coz they had met in college.
“James Sidle”
“Greggers Sanders”
“You never told me you had a sister called Sara. Let alone her having a kid”
“Greggers your wife is looking at us”
“I am not his Wife. Greg what’s going on?”
“It seems your dad and Sara had a kid who is Aaron. So you have a brother and he gains a sister and a nephew”
“Greg can you look after Blaze for a bit I need to ring someone”
“Sure” he said kissing Emma’s cheek.
Sara sat at the layout table working with Catherine on a case when her phone rang.
“Sidle”
“How could you not tell me? Have you told dad about Aaron”
“Emma no I haven’t told him yet. How did you find out?”
“We just happened to be shopping and browsing for things for the new house when we ran in to him and a certain little brother of yours”
“Shit what are they doing here”
“I don’t know You have to tell Dad and soon coz I’m meeting up to talk to dad about our new place at dinner time”
“I’ll do it in a few minutes. Say hi to Chris for me”
“Who?”
“My brother Chris. He’s there too isn’t here”
“I’ve only met James and Aaron. James knows Greg from college.”
“Chris will be around. Likely with Aurora, Dawn and Theodore”
“Shit Sara you have a big family.”
“Chris & I are the eldest. Theodore is the youngest born in prison. Look I have to go don’t worry I’ll tell your dad ASAP”
“Bye Sara!”
Catherine looked at Sara.
“Cath how do I tell Gil something that I have been keeping from him for so long?”
“Tell me first?”
“16 years ago gil and I had a mistake. I haven’t told gil coz I’m frightened in what he will say or even do”
“You had a baby. Gil’s baby?”
“Yeah. Well that was Emma she just meet Aaron, our son with my brother James who knows greg and now Emma’s telling me I have to tell Gil before their dinner date”
“Tell me what I just heard is true?” Gil’s voice came from behind them.
Sara turned around to see Gil standing in the door.
“Baby is it true? We have a baby”
“Yes but he’s not much of a baby now. I’m sorry I never told you!”
“What’s his name? Where is he now?”
“He’s living with my brothers Chris & James. Who according to Emma are here in Vegas. Aaron James Grissom is his name.”
“Sara, Emma and I are going to buy a house and I was wondering if you would move in with us?”
“Gil when you say us who do you mean?”
“Emma, Blaze, Greg, me. Don’t worry my pet will have their own little home”
“Can I think about it? I mean I haven’t even seen the place yet!”

Emma started to walk back to Greg but saw someone she began to know well over the last few months.
“Uncle Sam”
“EmBug”
“What are you doing here?”
“Your auntie Heather said you were looking for a house. You’re in luck”
“How’s that? How did you find me?”
“The neighbours just moved out but they didn’t sell. Did something I shouldn’t have? I tracked you through the GPS in Greg’s car.”
“Uncle Sam I wont tell. I love that place, I’ll have to talk to dad about it. He can keep those damn pets of his outdoors. Come shopping with us”
“US?”
“Greg, Blaze and me. That’s if he’s finished talking to he’s college buddy yet!”
“I’d love too.” Sam said hugging Emma.
Greg was only just around the corner saying good-bye to his mate and Emma’s half brother.
“Greg” Emma called.
Greg turned around to see Sam standing next to his girl.
“Mr Braun. Good to see you again”
“Greg I told you before call me Sam. You’re like family well you are family.”
“Sure Sam.”
Emma turned to Greg and smiled “Uncle Sam found us a house”
“Where abouts?”
“One of his neighbours is moving. Oh baby you have to see this house it’s perfect. It has everything I have ever dreamed of apart from the horses.”
“Why do you love riding horses?”
“Baby I’m from Texas. Well I’m a Californian-Texan. I grew up with horse”
“Okay ems”.
They continued for about 30 minutes in the shop.
Greg walked to the car to put some of the shopping away while Emma, Sam and blaze did a little shopping of their own.
“So what do want to get for Greg?”
“Uncle Sam I want to get him an engagement ring?”
“You’re getting married. Since when?”
“I haven’t asked him yet!”
They looked in the best jewellery store in Las Vegas.
“Ma’am can I help you?”
“I’m looking for an engagement ring set for me and my boyfriend. My uncle’s here to help”
“Do you have something in mind?”
“Something plain but with a few some stones in”
“What type? Silver? White gold? Gold?”
“White gold.”
“What size for the both of you?”
“I’m about a 3. Greg’s a 5 I think”
“we have those sizes and I have the perfect ones for you!”
The assistant came out with the perfect rings. Emma tried it on and it fitted.
Sam smiled and started to hand over his credit card.
“Uncle Sam you don’t need to pay”
“EmBug I want too. You are my favourite great-niece”
“I’m your only great-niece”.
So Sam paid, they walked out with the pram.
Emma felt her phone ringing.
“Em speaking”
“Babe it’s me”
“Greg what is it?”
“Where are you?”
“Can you see the Sports store?”
“Yeah.”
“We’re outside it. We’ll wait for you!”
