Ok, it has been confirmed Laurence Fishburne is joining CSI.

I looked back at your post Destiny to make sure I can post this.

Blackflag found this article confirming this. She also posted this in the Who will replace Grissom thread.

I'm kind of excited about this, I'd like to see how this happens. Now everyone should remember that he will not be in charge of the team at first. However, I'm also concerned about how much screen time everyone else will get, because it's time the original cast gets to be put out front and shown what they can do.
 
Wow. Those pictures are just heartbreaking. The expression on Grissom's face says it all. If that's not a promo pic, I bet they had to drag Nick away kicking and screaming, because you KNOW he wouldn't let go of his best friend, not for anything.


In other news, from Buddytv.com, it appears that Laurence Fishburne is confirmed to be the replacement.

However, this is an interesting passage from the article about WP's guest appearances:

If he's still coming in when Grissom is still here (I thought it was ep 7) then he obviously can't be supervisor yet. I'm more worried about what will happen come ep 11 and Grissom is gone.

Just out of curiosity (since I thought we had one at one point). Destiny do we have a Season 9 Spoiler Picture Thread hanging around where those pics could be put into. I know several people who don't think as pics as spoilers and they won't see them in here. :)

Yeah, but CM said he wouldn't in charge right away, so I would think there would be quite a number of episodes, or maybe next season, when he would. Personally, I don't think it's right, because Catherine and/or Nick should be in charge.

I would really like to know who Marg, George, Eric, etc. feel about this? I mean really feel about it, not what will be said publically. :p
 
I'm wondering if this will be on any of the entertainment shows tonight. It would be great to hear from some of the other actors about what they think.

The only thing on the news channel right now is a live press conference on (I kid you not) the Bigfoot body discovery. :lol: and :rolleyes:

Yeah I still think Catherine should be in charge. She deserves it.

I'd like to know what they think too. All we hear about is everyone else but them, the originals who are still left on the show after all this. :rolleyes:
 
In the pic, Grissom actually looks like he's about to cry. I imagine that they are not letting us see the Nick/Rick pics because they want to save that for the premiere episode. I think those scenes are going to be the most heartbreaking ever. Nick will be so devastated. Just the idea of those scenes make me want to cry. Maybe Nick and Cath are off in the corner somewhere crying and comforting each other waiting for Greg to return (cause I think he was supposed to be on his way to the airport). I can't wait to see what the team's reaction will be when they find out who killed Rick.

The pic of Griss and Rick reminds me a little of the Horatio/Speed scene. I don't think Horatio held Speed like Grissom is with Warrick, but he did put his ear to his chest and then had Speed's blood on the side of his face.
 
Those pics are pretty intense, makes me wonder if the spoiler about Nick finding Warrick is true because why wouldn't he still be there? At least by his side. I hope its still Nick who finds him.

I am not thrilled about LF joining the cast, it will be all about him and the other cast (origonal cast -MArg, George, Eric) will suffer with less screentime. TPTB have no clue what fans want.

No, maybe they decided that Nick should stay with the redhead in the restaurant as another way of playing the 'nick is an idiot' role because he is the writers' bxxxx....

TPTB are totally clueless..

I have to agree with with you Wojo, LF is going to take over the show and leave little screentime (since Billy had an 80/20 rule about his time on the screen versus the others).

Should Nick should be the one held Warrick? I thought Nick will heard the gunshot outside the diner, I hope they don't change it, maybe like someone said, they have to dragged Nick away from Warrick then Grissom came back to the diner when he got the call from Brass. They better not change that, that is Nick's best friend.
 
OH MY GOODNESS! I wish October 9th would come around already! That picture is just...ugh! There are no words! And I agree with Speedy and Smokey! Nick better be the one to find him because I've had my hopes up for that all Summer! I know spoilers change, but geez louise!
 
That's Warrick:wtf: it doesn't look like him at all, are you all sure it's him? what's with his hair, and is that his profile? and Grissom the expressions tell it all:(if that's him, damm how friggin' awful, and so tragic!
