I think someone said it was called This Woman's Work by Kate Bush.

Thanks I found it on I Tunes it is a very beautiful song. A little mushy for Sara. However it was great for the promo and just to listen to.

I got to see the promo but my computer has no sound on it (need to get that fixed!)

At least the Medi-Vac is there to help her.

The no sound thing...ugh, I know all about that. 2 suggestions, weel, 3. First, try other speakers, or try plugging earphones into the soundcard, 2: get a new soundcard (I had this EXACTLY a year ago, when the promos were popping up, which is why I identufy with you) But an effective right now solution would be: put on CBS till you see the promo (If you live here in the states that is...last year I was still in Israel and I SUFFERED!)

Found this over on MSNBC's website.

'CSI': Wanted, dead or alive

Just go down the screen until you find that title. It's not really spoilerish. It sorta reiterates(?) what TV Guide has already said and gives a few things that they wish for in the new season.

This has been discussed in the earlier thread but you may not have seen it. There will be a new CSI named Veronica who arrives in Ep 3 but she will only be a guest star and only be in 4 eps. I don't know what this means for Sara, she most likly lives but will she stay? We have to wait and see.

I think that the producers found last year that introducing a new character, especially when there is a vacuum in the situation is a good way to boost interest (and ratings). Writers can easily get in a rut when they only have standard characters to bounce off of each other, and any new blood is a good way to go.

As for "Does Sara stay", it is a toss up. Depending how far ahead they are filming for season 8, they may not know the effects of her absence until after they have to decide about her return. Sept 27th plus 2 weeks to a new character and run that new character for 4 eps... that isn't a big window.

My gut feeling tells me that Sara is suffeciently fragile a character to need time away. There are plenty of situations from her past that could come into play, such as drinking that could come out and be used to keep her character out of the game for as long as needed.

Conversely, IMDB doesn't show Jorja involved in anything except a documentary in 2007 and nothing else in pre-production or production, which suggests that she hasn't made any other plans.

I know they just do the stuff they "need" to do there. Like landmarks, cityscapes, or hotel views.

Shooting on location in Vegas is a pretty big expense for the show. I would suspect they will pile up a bunch of work and then come to town for a couple of weeks and film every day to get all their location shots needed, perhaps for the entire season. Remember, they don't need cast to shoot setup shots (scenes of locations), and I am pretty confident that they have long since built a generic Casino set with generic elevators and generic check in counter they can use for almost everything they do. It is a little disappointing to me sometimes, because the locations were at one point the key to the show.

Just saw the full promo, and personally I was underwhelmed by it, at least as far as the acting. The Kate Bush song was a bit strange, as well. The titles ("weather, desert, time", etc.) are so corny that they make me think that she'll be rescued, but the song makes me wonder if she's a goner. Ah, well, this is probably all TPTB manipulation. I look forward to the bees.

I was just repeating what I'd read. I'm not worried about it. I still like the show for what it is... I was just saying that while a lot of it wasn't filmed in Vegas, at least they aren't just inventing new aspects to the topigraphical geography of Nevada...

So what if they get their sand elsewhere?

Raw_Alex they have built bogus sets in the Universal Studios set, such as you suggested, slot machines etc. plus there's a city near L.A. called Gardena that has poker rooms etc. and they've filmed there as well.. but haven't been here since last year for the premiere of "BTK" and they were here for 4 days, August as far as I know, the expense wouldn't be a big factor, being the show pulls in mega bucks. They were at the Bellagio..at the Fremont Street Expierence " at the Bonanza Gift Shop.. but security is tight as one would assume!

I need to keep my eyes open then - I live in Gardena, two blocks from one of those casinos and less than half a mile from another...

new promo during csi ny tonite on cbs
couple new scenes
anybody able to upload it? or w/e it is you geniuses do
lol

there was a portrait of sara that natalie drew, and a new line from nick, "i'm not leaving here until i find something" i think while he and warrick are searching natalie's house
nothing really new for the stroyline, just a new promo... lol
my heart is still excited!

I must have missed the part where Natalie was drawing a picture of Sara.

I love this promo and I can't wait for the Sept. 27 premiere.

I'm confused. Everyone keeps thinking of the song in the promo (This Woman's Work) from Sara's point of view, however this sing is intended to be seen from the point of view of a man who is in fear for the life of the woman he loves. It was written for the waiting room scene in 'She's Having a Baby'. I think this song is very fitting for how Grissom must be feeling, silently begging Sara to hold on, unable to cry, and regretting never telling her what he should have told her (which in this case would be "I love you", I would imagine).

From what I've read, this episode is supposed to make viewers very "pleased". I don't remember exactly what was said, but that's the gist. Since I've heard a lot of people threatening to stop watching if Sara dies (I can't speak for everyone obviously, but viewers are more likely to stop watching because a character leaves, not because a character stays), I don't think she'll die. And I don't think GSR will completely disappear. Last season, subtle though the flirtatious moments were, it was such a big deal because it was a secret. Now that everyone knows, it will just be part of the show. I could be wrong, but a hopeless romantic can dream.
