I definitely believe CSI will go one more season...though CSI is one of the only shows that still after 7 years still pulls over 23 million viewers per episode, even up against a "hot show" like Grey's anatomy.

I think all anyone has heard was that she is in negotiations/talks. I think she will be back. If she was not going to sign, it'd be heard everywhere by now, wouldn't you think?

I read on grissomsararomance.com (amoung other places I can't recall right now) that everyone except JF has signed on for S8.

I read that Louise Lombard has signed on for her own series called Judy's got a gun , so Sofia most likly will NOT be returning.

LL depends on several things I would imagine, one if the pilot is picked up, and if it is how many eps, how it does in the ratings, will it last longer then 13 (standard order for new shows) eps, will it get canceled, ect.

I would imagine that if she does want to keep on she will have a clause put in her contract or have an agreement of sorts with the show should the other show not work out that she might return on a limited basis.

I haven't heard anything official about it, usually places like the futon critic have news on what shows get picked up and what shows are renewed, ect. alot of the times its done after certain rating points and sometimes it has nothing to do with the time of them.

I would keep watching if George Eads left, but I can understand how you feel; without him, the show would be different.

I also want to respond to something else; if William Petersen did leave, I believe most people will stop watching. Nothing wrong with Marg Helgenberger, who can be a strong lead, but the show, for better or worse, is based a lot around Gil Grissom. Without him, the show feels very empty. However, if Jorja Fox does leave, I can personally say I definitely still watch the show.

Also, on that Law and Order thing... well, it coule happen, and I would have no problem with it if it is a smooth and good transition; however, I doubt they can remove Gil Grissom or Chaterine Willows without a drop a in ratings.

i dont think the show could ever be the same if any of them left, especiall grissom, but i would carry on watchin i guess...
