I thought it would be good to have a new thread for the ratings. (Here's the thread for season 6.)
As Grissom rules pointed out in the last thread, the season premiere of NY won its timeslot, although new lead-out Blue Bloods was the top-watched show of the night:
7.01 "The 34th Floor":
I'm not cheering just yet because the ratings could plummet, but it's not a bad turn-out for a Friday night show.

7.01 "The 34th Floor":
From PI Feedback.CBS relationship/crime drama Blue Bloods was the top-rated show of the evening, with 12.81 million viewers and a 2.2 rating/7 share among adults 18-49 at 10 p.m. Comparably, that outdelivered the year-ago season-premiere of former occupant Numb3rs (Viewers: 8.10 million; A18-49: 1.8/ 6 on Sept. 25, 2009) by a hefty 4.71 million viewers and 22 percent in the demo. And it built from the season-premiere of relocated lead-in CSI: NY (Viewers: #1, 10.28 million; A18-49: #1, 2.0/ 7 at 9 p.m.) by 2.53 million viewers and 10 percent among adults 18-49. The good news for CSI: NY, meanwhile, was the first-place time period finish and 1.41 million more viewers than the season-premiere of year-ago occupant Medium (8.87 million; A18-49: 2.1/ 7 on Sept. 25, 2009).
I'm not cheering just yet because the ratings could plummet, but it's not a bad turn-out for a Friday night show.
