Season 13 Spoiler Lab Discussion Part 1

Well I can't believe what I'm reading. They're not seriously setting up stage for GSR split up are they? Come on, they can't possibly!..... can they?:( That's...sad.
First off, welcome :)

Second, in regards to the GSR portion of S13, I think they're most setting up a tribulation of their relationship, stretching the boundaries to prove or disprove their strength. The writers have invested too much time into getting these two together to completely level it out.

I'm personally hoping that this arc will pave a path for a guest appearance by WP..

Unfortunately for Sara without Grissom there her character is in real danger of stagnating. This is an attempt to bring some drama into her life and explain her long distant marriage. In the end I do believe she will remain faithful to her husband.

^^^ Thanks! i feel like it's pegged out to be a good episode. Long distance takes a toll on you, I know from experience. I imagine Sara and Grissom are both going through a rough time regardless.

I hate that there's a break and this doesn't air until the 12th :(

EDIT: Also in that new interview with Christopher Barbour (posted via CSIfiles) Ellie doesn't actually appear in 13x09 "Strip Maul", information is discovered about her via Brass' character but Ellie herself doesn't make an appearance...

I liked Finlay's ex on CSI last week. Will we see him again? — Janice

ADAM: Although there's no official word that the character will pop up again, "I would love for him to come back," Elisabeth Shue says. "I'm open to Finn growing up and having a real relationship." Perhaps one of the things keeping Finn from settling down is her strange connection to D.B. Russell. But Shue doesn't see that ever becoming physical. "I think it has to be [platonic] as long as he stays married," she says. "I don't think she's that kind of person and he's definitely not that type of person. I like that there's a barrier. It's great to have two people that really, on some level, want to be together and not be able to be together because that's where chemistry comes in."

You'll hate more when you realize that after this episode? We don't get a new CSI for about a month.

I can't undertand why writers made their marriage long-distance in the first place, I mean for a short while Grissom travelling and doing stuff on his own- no problem, but why can't he return to Vegas to live with her.
I look forward to this episode, although unhappy angsty Sara is not my favourite. And yeah, cliffhanger of some sort is probably unavoidable.

I only don't like it when the other is a show I don't watch. Of course, even when it's the same franchise, it can be a pain if the second part of the crossover isn't included with the DVDs. Or like TNT's habit of not airing Felony Flight with Manhattan Manhunt. But the two CSIs should cross more.

Anyone who watches NY.Do you think Mac's problem will still be going on? Will it surface while he's in Vegas? I wonder...

I'm sure this occurred out of necessity. Billy left the show, so it's unrealistic for him to be living in Vegas, but never appearing on the show. Especially now that Sara is back. It probably wasn't a first choice for anyone involved in the show. A lot of the characters suffered after Billy's departure.

I'm curious, why would it be unrealistic? It wouldn't seem so bad to me if Sara mentioned him now and then, even if we didn't see him.
