Ausiello: They will replace her. And it will be with a name actress. In other CSI news, we’re finally going to meet Doc’s wife Judy, but it will be under the most scandalous of circumstances. Mrs. Robbins wakes up one morning to discover a dean man in her bed — a naked dead man who just so happens to be covered in her lipstick! She swears it’s not what it looks like, to which I promptly roll my eyes and go, “Mmmhmmm.”

Not really sure why they need to replace her. With Cath gone they have 3 males and 2 females on the team...exactly the same as when the show started.
 
I personally think if the show goes for a 13th season, then they can bring in a new female if they really want to. But let it go for the rest of this season, once she leaves.
 
I don't want them to replace her, especially not this season

If they must, do it next season!! We already have 2 new characters

If they do this season, characters will more than likely get lost in the shuffle and they will be Greg and Morgan just like in season 9 with Greg and Riley, Greg survived but Riley wasn't so fortunate :( I'd hate to see that happen to Morgan
 
I agree that they should wait and bring in the replacement next season or at the earliest, in this season's last episode.

Ok but still. I'm all about women empowerment, but come on! I'm sick of there being so many replacements/fill-ins! I'd be perfectly happy with just Sara & Morgan after Marge leaves. Bringing in so many new people doesn't give writers the ability to let us really get to know a character.

Tho I agree Lauren Holly would be amazing. Still! I'm against new people...
 
I'd like to see Bitty Schram as the new lead lady ! She would perfectly fit to the show ! :thumbsup:
It would be great if the new character were introduiced in the season final (like Morgan last year)

I love Mary Steenburgen :). Think about all the little jokes they would have throughout the episodes :lol:.

Lauren Holly sounds good too. I'm so sad though that we are talking about replacements for Marg; makes it so real :(. With how good the show is right now and the great addition Ted has been I guess I always had a small hope that she would change her mind...again. Guess it's just her time now, though.
 
Add me to the bandwagon of people who don't want to see yet another new character on the show. Three in one season is quite ridiculous. At least if they do bring someone in, I don't want it to be a CSI, I think five will be enough for the show. A detective perhaps, or maybe even someone involved in the judicial system would be an interesting twist?

I was under the impression that Elisabeth was meant to fill in the gap that was to be left by Marg but I guess that's not the case. :confused:
 
Add me to the list two. The show doesn't need yet another new character taking screen time away from the characters who have been there.
