From SpoilerChat (nothing we didn't already know, but...)

mayracansigno: Got any more CSI:Miami spoilers dealing with Delko and Calleigh?

Did you say Horatio and Natalia? You didn't? Well, that's what you're going to get since this little nugget just came our way. Not that it's a big surprise, but both Horatio (David Caruso) and Natalia (Eva LaRue) survive being shot/nearly drowned in the trunk of a car. While they search for their assailant and his cellmate, killer Jack Toller (the suddenly prolific Callum Keith Rennie), in the 10th-season premiere, we learn how Jack became such a psychopath with flashbacks to his abusive childhood.

Considering the abusive past angle, I hope we see a nod or mention to Horatio & Natalia's pasts as well. So much potential....

Horatio does have a soft spot for victims of parental abuse, however given the events of the season finale, I doubt he'll take pity on Toller. He's a cold-blooded killer.

He doesn't necessarily have to take pity on Toller. Perhaps he will do some reflection about his own family abuse .

CSI: MIAMI Episode 10.02 ''Stiff''

STORY LINE: When Ryan sees a hat floating in mid-air at a murder scene, he thinks he's lost it -- but although no one will initially believe him, the floating panama proves a crucial clue in the investigation...

It also looks quite unusual and humorous - that's what we've been waiting for. Also glad that Ryan will have an episode in which he will play the main role:bolian:

Another spoiler from TV Guide:

Have you gotten any new information about Calleigh and Delko on CSI: Miami? — Mary
ADAM: Nothing new to report on the relationship front, but I can promise that you'll see Calleigh out in the field much more now that Emily Procter is no longer pregnant. Her maternal instincts will come in handy when Calleigh forms a strong bond with the rescued children of a wanted fugitive in the season premiere. In fact, the word adoption will come up.

LOL, I totally misread this. I thought it was saying it was his hat that he thought he lost and that it was floating in the water (that's what I get for not getting much sleep). I reread it and realized what it said. Now I'm LMAO at the possibilities of the funny in this episode. I can just imagine the others teasing Ryan over this, especially Walter lol.

That sounds interesting. I wonder if its the kids of a perp we've already seen on the show?

Thank God for some much-needed Ryan time. :p Sounds like it should be a fun episode (at least so far).

So Emily Procter has a baby & suddenly Calleigh has motherly instincts? Try again, TPTB. I can't be convinced that she's going to be that attached & torn over his kids (all within a matter of a few hours) when she had no connection to Randy North or his children to start with. Sounds forced.

I'm sure Emily can pull it off. She's very gifted at showing subtle emotion.

If Horatio can get attached to the victim's kids (Stevie from season 3, anyone?), why can't Calleigh?
