ETA: Oh, one more thing. GSR may be the only romance that went cannon, but it was NOT the original ship nor the first one they were going to do. GSR did not exist when CSI started and I wish it didn't exist now, just like I'm glad they did not go with the Nick and Catherine ship. It just doesn't fit.
Cute kitties.
I was thinking the same thing!By the way if those kittens all came from one litter, hats off to mamma cat..that must have hurt!!!

Actually the writers had planned on giving GRISSOM the love interest; so yes, GSR did exist when CSI started, they just hadn't introduced Sara yet; even though the Pilot episode was build up for her appearance.
BTW: I'm not arguing, I'm just stating my opinion. I've spent way too many years arguing on other message boards defending my favorite couple/character. No one is going to change each other's mind, so I see no point in arguing. It's a waste of typing and a bad way of releasing frustration.
My beginning for CSI was when the Pilot episode aired on national television. Whether it was their back up episode or not, that was the Pilot I saw. As soon as Sara was brought to CSI, she and Grissom were destined for romance.

I'm not denying that, I'm just stating that it was not the first or original romance that was destined to be on the show. Nick and Catherine were and I'm glad they did not pursue it.
Oh the scene with Nick and Catherine scene was shot, just edited out. So whether the scene was in the episode or not, it was still the first and original romance on CSI.
The pilot was not a buildup to her, by the way. The second episode was reshot and she was not originally in it. It was reshot because of the test audiences. What was shown is irrelevent, GSR was not the first, nor the original ship.
It's the only one that went cannon and I still think it was mistake. Just like it would have been a mistake to pursue the Nick and Catherine one.
When did the news forum turn into shipper central?
Ok. You want teh kittehs, you got teh kittes:
ETA: When did this become kitten central?
So in the first shooting of the second episode, Holly didn't die? I didn't know the second ep was reshot. I just figured ep one was sent to a test audience before any other episodes were even shot.
