I really need to start doing important things like saving my money, booking my hotel, finding flights...all that fun stuff. Although this year I don't have to run all over the city to get a passport.
Can't wait to see you guys again! I'm so excited!!!
 
Hey ladies, with the trip now about three months away, we need to start getting some numbers together for our headcount. This is essential when it comes to making dinner reservations and determining what our options are. A lot of places have fixed menus or per-person minimums that come into play with large parties and, like last year, we will work to avoid that. But we really do need to know what kind of numbers we're looking at.

Your assignment is to get your shit figured out ASAP. Definitely by the end of May let us know whether you're in or not so we can begin making reservations.

You can refer to Top's opening post in this thread for useful information on hotels, etc. Also, if you have any questions about which airport to fly into, what part of town you want to stay in, etc. please speak up. Top and I can help answer your questions, as can anyone who attended last year.

We also need to get our t-shirt plans figured out pretty quickly. It sounded like most people were in favor of doing a custom shirt, so we need to determine whether it will have lettering only or a design and most importantly, what will it be? T-shirts take a while to order, so we really need to get this pinned down as soon as possible. Yes, yes, it seems like an awful annoyance to trouble you now with a t-shirt you'll wear in three months, but trust me -- this stuff really does take time. Ideas, anyone?

As for t-shirts...I know we've talked about something Danny or Danny/Flack related, and that's always a good option, if people are interested in that kind of shirt.

Another thing we could do would be to do something with the CSI Files or TalkCSI logo...something cute like that...

Yeah, I'm all for a Danny/Flack tshirt, but I'd also be more than happy with a CSI Files or TalkCSI tshirt. Basically, I'm indecisive. :lol:
 
I will be there, absolutely. Mom didn't even put a 'get all your grades above 80%' limit this year. If she did I'd be in trouble. We'll be staying at the same hotel we did last year, and I'll be there for everything but the drinking since your country has said I'm not allowed to yet. *sigh*
As for the shirts, I'm pretty laid back, but the Talk CSI would be cool. With LA year 2 or something like that.
I seriously have to explain the 'Team Flack' shirt to my step-dad everytime I wear it. I can't decide if he keeps asking because he knows I'll tell him or if he actually forgets.
 
You can definately count me in. I'll be making my final car payment in the next couple of weeks and then I can start making plane and hotel reservations. As for the t-shirt, I'll go with whatever you guys want (I know, big help I am :rolleyes:).
 
Just to let you know, we've (finally) booked our flights to the US. So we'll definitely be joining you all in LA! :D

I won't be booking anything until early June. *sigh* I don't go back to work until May 27, and that's when I'll be able to get the ball rolling on this thing and turn it into another "work" trip so I don't pay the airfare out of my own pocket.

Well, what's a 5,000 mile/11 hour plane journey between friends? :lol: :D

Actually, we've got a fun trip to San Francisco and a nice drive down the coast planned before LA, which is good because it means that hopefully, by the time we meet up with you all, we should be better acclimatised and less jet lagged than we were last year! :)

Unfortunately, creativity is not my strong point. I'm easily pleased though so I'm happy with anything. ;)

Are you really surprised that we're so slow? :p I promise...within the week. My brain needs to adjust to the increase in price from last year AND see if there's anything cheaper.:eek:

BTW, I haven't been on a plane since last year's trip and I still don't care for them even though I slept all the way to LA and all the way back.
