Numb3rs

Good girl! Stay away from them, they are soo much funnier not knowing in advance. If I lived in the US, I'd be spoiler-free for sure.

Kudos for you! :D

Ok, for next season I want:
More Larry/Megan moments (seriously, we need a name for that ship  )
A possible baby-storyline (Larry/Megan cuz it would be cuute! :) )
More Alan!
A shirtless Larry...
Lou Diamond Philips
More funny stuff

And...this is actually something that Numb3rs lack, and it is sad really... :(: More Forensics. Fornsic mathematics they use as a rule, but what about fingerprinting, DNA and facial reconstruction? It just seems a little bit in the background to me.

And moremoremore of everything. :D

Thank you ElinWaffle. So far I am spoiler free. I live in the US. It will get harder when it gets closer to the season premeires, right now it is easy.
I definately want more Larry and Megan too, and forensics and I love funny parts, so more of those.

Oh my gosh, I just watched the season finale. I so feel like crying. NOT COLBY! Colby is my favourite character. :( Though because I like the character so much, I think it sucked that he was the spy. Because he is going to return next year (or so he is from what I've read) now it's the same as the "Natalia-from-CSI-Miami-mole-thing", wherein a character who is a mole comes back. Now I never thought I'd ever like a character 5that did that, but alas, I love Colby. So I'm happy that he is coming back. *sigh* I still can't believe it...normally I'd review, but I am far too sad right now. :(

I just thought it kinda sucked, because in season 3, the only episode (well, that I've seen, anyway) that was actually Colby-centric (The Mole) was the one that came back to bite him. Even the finale wasn't really about him until the last 5 minutes where he was portrayed as a complete ass. Though I have to say, I really really hope that he is a double agent for the US Government, because that would sorta redeem him, at least to me...yeah, I may post a proper review tomorrow, when I've gotten over some of the shock, so I apoligise if that didn't really make much sense.

Though I have to say it was probably one of the best episodes I've seen, I think they could've made it a little less elaborate. I mean, if that Ashby guy really wanted the Janus list out, you would think he'd make it a little less confusing, in that if the Fedralis made a teeny tiny mistake, they wouldn't have found it. But all in all, it was really good (well, except for the Colby being a spy part - though it's probably the only way he'll actually get some decent screen time)

All I can really do right now is *sigh*...

More power to you for staying spoiler free sidlewannabee . I can't. My friends are even starting to call me Spoiler-Queen and Source of Information. And of course, the inevitable...Spoiler- (I can't use the actual word on the board but this is as close as it gets ) Lady of the Night. Or Lady Heather if you like.

I hate all kind of "mole-storylines" and especially in crime shows. The writers calls it 'creativity', I just call it 'lack of information'.

Colby is a great characther and he desperately needs a good storyline. Pointing him out as a traitor just to give him some screen time and give the show and "intresting" turn is just...Point is, Colby could have had another storyline. This one was defiently not one of my favourites.

The Mole thing. Not to really bash the show, I still like it in a Grey's Anatomy-way ( ), but if CSI: Miami pulls that stuff, in my world it also dooms the storyline to the Hell of Overused and Pointless Storylines.

Yep, Colby needs a decent charcther developement. I do not know how TPTB are going to explain the whole "Colby-returing-after-being-revealed-as-the-worlds-most-super-mega-ass-traitor". I think ne way of doing that is maybe putting him in a perilous situation or something. He has to sacrifice something. Vert cliché, I know. :D

I just honestly don't know how they're going to bring him back next year. I mean, Natalia on Miami was just a mole for the FBI and she came back with a promotion, and this is essentially the same, just on a much, much, larger "threat to national secrutiy" scale. Honestly, I'm just happy that he's coming back, though no matter what context he comes back in, it's gonna completely suck for him, because no-one is going to trust him again *kicks TPTB*

I dunno, I just can't wait til next season to see how he comes back...

I agree, though I have do say, I actually did like the episode, and if making him a traitor is the only way he's ever going to get any decent screentime, then hey, more power to ya. Though SURELY the writers are smart enough to come up with something else, because now, no-one is going to trust him, the fans who didn't already like him are definately not going to now.
To the best of my recollection, there have only been two episodes where he actually gets some decent screentime - The Mole (which is now an evil episode, not to mention that Dwayne is a complete ass) and Rampage (the one where he accidently shot that guy). Those are the only two episodes that I remember where he actually has some decent character development. *kicks TPTB again*

I mean, I wouldn't mind so much if the character was always intended to be a mole, but to have him come in for 2 seasons, and when the fans are already invested, to then reveal him as a massive traitor...that all seems very 24 to me.

EDIT: And actually, going back and watching it, if you paid enough attention, it was actually really obvious that he was a mole. Aside from all of Dwayne's comments like "The things I could tell you about squeaky-clean Colby Granger!" and "Tell him that I was a much better friend than he gave me credit for", the clues were everywhere. Colby should've worn a big bright orange shirt that said "I'm a spy, in case you hadn't gotten it already" for the duration of the episode. Granted that I only really picked up on the clues after I had seen the episode, (and I knew what happened beforehand - still didn't help with the shock though), so maybe thats why it seemed obvious...I dunno.

Ok, now on a sidenote from my rants, I've noticed on a bunch of reviews and forums and stuff, David and Colby are referred to as Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. Does anyone know why? Because it's kinda been bugging me...

Oh Shakespeare! :D Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are two of Prince Hamlets (from the play Hamlet ) best friends from the University of Wattenburg which all three attended. R and G are practically inseparable. Well, in the play, they are getting payed to go behind Hamlets back to find out if he really is insane. Of course, Hamlet and his new bestest buddy Horatio () finds out and Hamlet makes a plan. In short, they die when arriving to England. They had orders from Danmarks King (halmet's step-father) to deliever a message to the English King and have Hamlet excecuted. Hamlet changed the names in the note and escaped, so R and G were excecuted instead. :D

So, now you know.

Agreed. To little characther development. And then look at poorpoor David. I think that next season, however, will focus a lot on David and Colby's feelings. Of all the other charcthers, I think it was David who was hurt the most by the revelation. I mean, before Colby, I felt like he was just out of place with only Don and Terry. :( Now he gets a new buddy and then...Kaboom! and TPTB blows it up.

I firmly believe that there are a lot of different ways for a charcther to get intresting, that does not make the entire world hate him. Lousy TPTB.

And Larry isn't Larry really, he is really Tom Lennox!

Now, seriosuly, I agree. The whole "putting Colby in for 2 seasons and then revealing him as a huge ass"-thingy doesn't make any sense at all. It feels like the writers are currently hitting a low point. :(

Okay, we seemed to have died a little bit right now, soo I'll post again.

Colby needs a chacther development. Megan needs a baby. Alan needs more screen time. Charlie needs...huh, another calculator to keep up with the maths for the next season which is gonna kick a$$. :D Don needs an outside-work activity (or does he already?) that does not include sports, like china painting or cheramics. The dude looks creative enough. Larry needs...to be shirtless or have more bathing scenes :p. Did i forget anyone?

Diane Farr named her son beckett. Wow, the woman does not only looks stunning but she also has great taste in names! Beckett is fabulous!

Ah, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. I better make sure I don't say that at school or I'll be accused of being one of the biggest nerds ever...although the majority of my friends already think that.

The thing is though, I haven't actually seen the majority of season 3. I mean, I've seen the season finale, but I haven't seen about half the season. So, while I'm waiting to see them (they're being aired in order, I live in Australia...although I managed to watch the season finale - ah, don't ask...), I'll just comment on stuff that I've actually seen...

So, I'm currently watching all the episodes I had recorded that I found lying around the house, and I'm about to rent the rest of season 2 because I can't actually remember most of it. Though any time I see Colby on screen, I can't help but think that he's a mole. Aside from the fact that it doesn't deter me from liking the character at all, I don't really mind, because I actually like the season finale, and he got some decent screentime. Admittedly, it was sucky screentime, but screentime none the less.

So,as you can see, I'm essentially re-iterating my points from what I have actually seen, at least until I see the rest of the season. (although I am a little tempted, every time Colby comes on screen to yell "Colby, NO!")

And re-watching the early episodes from season 3 (for some reason, they never get boring..), some of the ways that they tried to hide Diane Farr's pregnancy are hilarious! I mean, they have pregnancy desks, pregnancy folders, teacups, people walking in front of her so that only her face is visable...ah, it's just funny...

Yeah, I noticed that too. Though in true TPTB form, since I liked the character, they were always gonna screw it up. Every character I like in every single TV show has something dramatic happen to then (like being blown up, or shot, or diseased, and trust me, this isn't the first mole either...*kicks TPTB some more*). Though I still think it sucks, because in an episode in season 3 with Liz Warner, she says to Colby (about Don) "Well the fact you're still here means something. Just don't count on being forgiven twice". Hm. Well, looks like TPTB screwed that up too. Now Don, and the entire FBI, not to mention half the fans won't like or trust him, regardless of how or why he comes back. But I'll still love him ;)

And Larry isn't Larry really, he is really Tom Lennox!
Oh, that totally explains it. Though now that you mention that, when Colby's name is read on the Janus list, I'm half expecting Jack Bauer to run in screaming "WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME!" Now that would've made it interesting...

(and I again apoligise if that didn't really make any sense, I tend to repeat myself and start not making sense when I rant...)

Sorr y for the delay! Had a rough, raining Midsummers Eve here in Sweden and no Internet for a week. :(

Ah, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. I better make sure I don't say that at school or I'll be accused of being one of the biggest nerds ever...although the majority of my friends already think that.

Say that loud! "I'm a nerd and proud of it!" :D

YouTube right? Me too, watched the CSI season finale there and The Numb3rs episode Spree. I haven't watched S3 either, because our network and televions chanels are screwed up.

Yeah, it defiently takes something out of the chacther. I don't know...the fun, the thrill. Knowing one of your favourite chacthers are going to become a traitor in about one season, takes something out of it.

But maybe that is because we are foreign spoiler-freaks!

I've only seen pictures, and I can say that they are very entertaining! Hah! Maybe the people in charge of the props and costumes were hoping for a pregnancy-storyline, who knows? Or maybe it was all last-minutes solutions. :D Either way, they deserve an award for Worse Hidden Actress-Pregnancy.

Oh, that totally explains it. Though now that you mention that, when Colby's name is read on the Janus list, I'm half expecting Jack Bauer to run in screaming "WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME!" Now that would've made it interesting...

Remember, I haven't seen the finale yet. :D:

Unknown Guy reading the Janus List: Dave Peters...Geoffrey Hawkings...Harry Potter...Colby Granger...
Don, Charlie, Megan, David: WTF?!
Colby: Damn...
*Jack Bauer bursts in*
J: WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME! Where's the bomb! I need to disarm it! Where is the treacherous president! I need to kill him!
*Larry is desperately trying to hide underneath one of Megans pregnancy desks, which of course, is the worse hding place int the Universe*

Heh, high on tea at the moment

Trust Metric [Airing September 28]: Colby is being interrogated by a man named Agent Kirkland, who passes him a handcuff key and gives him escape instructions. Don and his team get information about and from Colby and must figure out if that information is realiable then realizes that everything about Colby being a double agent may not be what it seems.

Velocity: When a teenage driver driving a fancied-up car made for street racing crashes, killing one and injuring many other innocent people, Don figures out that the car was made out of stolen parts from around the country. He convinces Charlie to help him figure out why it happened. While the driver lies in a coma in the hospital, the doctor tells them that he has multiple sets of injuries, including sharp blows to the left side of his head. A shoe print shows that someone, probably at the crash scene, kicked him in the head. Colby is back with the team.

As usual this comes from spoilerfix.com

Okay I happy now after reading the spoliers for the first and second episodes of season 4. Of course I can't say anything about the spoliers, after all I'm sure some of you don't want to be spolied after all.

You can use the spoiler code, this way the ones that would like to be spoiled are able to read the spoilers you posted.
Just use this code:

David and Colby rush into an abandoned sweatshop and find a homeless man cowering in fear. He tells them screams came from upstairs. They rush up to find mannequins covered in plastic sheeting, blood on the floor and a cd player playing. The team is looking into a religious cult of some sort, all with very specific tattoos, that is killing the victims. They speak with the sister of one of the dead men who denies that her brother was partners with the leader, finally admitting that the guy did get her brother into all the occult stuff and her brother did whatever he told him to do. She tells them where her brother got his tattoo done, which leads them to the torture chamber and the leader's ultimate goal. Charlie and Larry help Don and his team with maps of the crime scene locations.
