Maybe they're trying to keep Lauren's contract status hush-hush so no one knows what's going on. I guess we just have to wait and see. I personally would love to see Jenny come back, in any way. She is/was one of my favorite characters (and I know I'm in the minority when I say that.)

I'm counting the days until Season 6.

that's a really good point. I never even thought of that keeping her contract secret. I've got my fingers crossed. And I totally agree with you about Jenny! I was pretty much devistated when she left. I thought I was the only one that liked her lol...

Twenty-eight episodes would be fantastic! I can't wait for them to start!

I thought Jenny was great; she was strong enough to get Gibbs' attention when he was close to crossing a line. He respected her more than any other authority figure in his organization (maybe the only one he respected), plus we had the added bonus of wondering if they would ever rekindle whatever happened in Serbia? Croatia? Bosnia? -- I can't remember which of the "formerly Yugoslavia" countries they mentioned. I read on another site, don't remember which, that Lauren Holly did not ask to leave, it was just a long-planned storyline, so maybe there could be some truth to her returning. Miraculous resurrections on TV series have occurred before, then been explained away as if the "death" was no big deal. However, I have my doubts about this one because only Gibbs and his mentor/best friend were in the room looking at her body and talking about why she chose to die that way. Unless, of course, it turns out Gibbs' buddy is really the head bad guy and they were trying to fool him into thinking she was dead, for some reason. Yeah, right; that's probably a bit of a stretch.

]Thinking back on Director Sheppard, her father was suppose to be dead yet his prints were on the whiskey bottle and glass in last episode of season 4. Maybe she is left in much the same manner that her father did?

Interesting thoughts everyone. So how about we come up with our own thoughts storylines if you will on how Gibbs gets the team back...

A good question, grssom89.
It will have to involve discrediting new director Vance, or Jenny returning. Sadly, I doubt the second option, though I would love to see it.
So, it’s discrediting Vance, because he seems the type who believes himself to be so infallible that once he’s made a decision he can’t go back on it. They could be doing a seemingly unrelated investigation and stumble upon some tie to Vance. I think he could be NCIS’s version of CSI’s Under Sheriff McKean, a real bad guy. On the other hand, if Jenny is alive, Vance will probably have been in on the whole thing and walk away with a smile on his face, happy to have made Gibbs and his team miserable, even if just for a while.

I'm not quite sure how i want this to go because getting rid of Vance too early wouldn't have the same reward if you know what I mean. I agree that there's definately something shady about him, like what the heck did he shred at the end of the ep???
Sadly I must agree that I think Jenny will no longer play a role in this how as NCIS director however she may have some other role to fulfill what that is I haven't decided yet lol.
I'll tell what I would love to see is a touching moment between the characters when..sorry I mean IF they reunite. Of course Tony will mess about saying he didn't miss McGee at all and say " You rescued me there boss no nice women at all!"
But then he'd go to them seperately and something touching. And obviously he'll realise he's meant to be with Ziva............
Woah *thought* maybe all the team reunite EXCEPT Ziva and they have to go on a mission to rescue her because she's in danger in a mossad op and it ends up Tony rescues her and they get together *YAY*
OK i'm going crazy now
Anyways i've created a livejournal account with all my NCIS fanart I welcome requests and please leave me comments so I feel loved :)
Link is in my Sig it's the lil lj lol

Was the NCIS finale having you worried about whether or not the team would be split for the remainder of the show? Well fear not fellow NCIS fans, because I have scoop just for you.

The third episode of the upcoming sixth season will have the team back together again, and possibly even sooner. My sources are telling me that in episode three, titled "Capitol Offense", McGee, Tony and Ziva will be working together--and with Gibbs even! The team will be working the death of a Lt. Commander who is connected to a Senator, who is a old friend of Gibbs.[/FONT]

Super happy

Now that we know which character was killed on NCIS, why did Lauren Holly leave? Was it her decision, [exec producer] Shane Brennan's decision, or mutual? — Andrea
Mitovich:
Brennan tells TV Guide that the death was long in the planning and done primarily for storyline reasons. Holly had not asked to leave

Regarding NCIS, can you find out whether Director Shepard's father is alive or dead? Were the fingerprints found in her study just a red herring? — dorlancaster
Mitovich: Jenny's father, like Jenny herself, is most definitely dead, an NCIS rep assures me. The fingerprints and the claim by the Russian General that her dad was still alive were part of a ploy organized by Kort (who was investigating La Grenouille for the CIA) to discredit Jenny and have her booted from NCIS, thus ending her investigation into "The Frog."

Let me know what you think to above spoiler and comon where is everyone lol

I've still been in mourning for Jenny, ever since the season finale. I think the spoilers are both probably pretty accurate, but I'd like to know more about the first two episodes of the new season.

I still somehow her death will result in the new Director being found out he had something to do with her death & along with the Frog. I could be wrong but why split them up as soon as he takes control? Hmmmm maybe so they won't put two & two together?

I too found it odd that he split them up as soon as they returned from Director Shepard's funeral. I thought long before she died that Vance would have something to do with the season finale death, no matter who it was. There is just something about him that isn't right. He seems way too ambitious for his good or anyone elses' for that matter.

EW reports the Gibb's new team (to be listed as recurring characters, not permanent) are newby Jonathan Magnum, Liza Lapira (current Agent Lee) and Jonathan LaPaglia (former NCIS guest role and, also, many series, most notably "The District" in that it was geographically located in DC; he played a cop; he's also the brother of "Without A Trace's" Anthony LaPaglia). Anybody know anything a Jonathan Magnum?

Anybody know anything a Jonathan Magnum?
At first, it sounded like a cross between Thomas Magnum and Jonathan Higgins, but you had the spelling wrong, or maybe EW did. It is Jonathan Mangum, unless imdb.com has it wrong.

He is 37, 6' 2" (1.88 m), has a wife and two children, has appeared on Pushing Daisies, Dew Carey Show, Strip Mall, Just Shoot Me, Married With Children, Seaquest DSV, and other shows. Jonathan has appeared in over 100 national commercials and continue to churn them out today. Mr. Mangum has appeared as a series regular on many tv shows and continues to tour doing improv comedy with Wayne BRady and Drew Carey.

Oops, spelling error was on my part, Dynamo1. And I probably was thinking subconsciously of Magnum and Higgins, too. The photo of Mangum looked so much younger than 37. Wow.
