NASCAR

OF COURSE this thread would have started while I didn't have net access! Excuse me, I'm the gal who was born Bristol around here; this thread was NOT supposed to start without me! I'll forgive ya tho.

I have no idea why I wanna talk about NASCAR so much when my driver is um...not exactly having his best season, but oh well. There's always next year.

Baba: I was going to question your choice of decor...until I saw this nice flash of green in that second picture. Way to go!

I'm totally for (B.) Labonte, but since he doesn't really have a chance this year I hope Wallace wins the Nextel Cup. That would be a good way to end his career, and he could still do it at this point.

I also kinda like Junior (who I will not disrespect by calling him "Little E," that's just wrong) and some of the older drivers. You gotta love Mark Martin, just for having the nerve to drive the Viagra car as old as some of the shots make him look on TV. Of course, I like Terry Labonte, just because of his brother. *L* I also hope that Justin Labonte (T. Labonte's son) gets into Nextel Cup racing after a few more years experience. He could use a little more time in the Busch series though.

As for Stewart...well...er...he's on the right team atleast! *LOL*

Earnhardt (Sr.) was my least favorite of all time. Let's just say there are no #3 stickers on my truck.

Oh, and I liked DW, but I like him even more as an anouncer. Boogity, Boogity, Boogity!

well at least Jr. FINALLY won a race.... or as Chad Knaus (who I'm in love with hehe) quoted "All is right with the world now, Dale won."

and I have to congratulate Jimmie, Chad, and Team Lowes for a hard fought 3rd place finish. Had tire problems, came back from a lap down and extended his lead! :D Gotta congrat Brian Vickers too. My poor Jeff Gordon and Kasey Kahne :(

Ooh, NASCAR! :) Hmm, my favorite drivers...there are many...but my favorite is probably Kasey Kahne, followed closely by Jimmie Johnson! I also really like Jr., Jeff Gordon, Jamie McMurray, Matt Kenseth, and I bet there are more that I'm forgetting. :D

well at least Jr. FINALLY won a race.... the Nascar world is a better place now (or some think...)

Yes, some would like to think. I hope my mom is finally happy. (And reminder to self, never put up Junior & Elliott avatar again on race day.)

I don't think I have ever called Junior "Little E". It just doesn't go with him. For me it's either Junior or Dale. (And another nickname after his accident last year at this time that my mom never really appreciated me callling him.)

I think my mom would probably yell and hit me if I called him that. She has suddenly become a die hard Junior fan. I'm really surprised she didn't call me at work when the race was over.

My parents just bought a Monte Carlo yesterday and of course it just happens to be red (my parents are more of the sporty car kind than the minivan type anyway). She asked my dad if she could get a personalized plate for Junior, but my dad declined. She just wanted to copy off my license plate. :D

:( Poor Elliott! Blew out a tire and is now 5th in the points, although I'm glad to see Rusty up in the points.

I'm glad Brian finished 4th...

Oh....and I usually just call Dale, Jr....Junior

I turned the radio on after I got to work to listen and heard at that time he was out or off. So the radio got turned.

I noticed my drivers flipped points positions. As long as they're both in the top 10 come September, it's all good.

Yeah....I still get disappointed if Elliott loses a points position, I just have to keep telling myself, as long as he stays in the top ten, everything's ok...

Yeah, unlike #18 last year, knocked to the 13th spot (from like 9 or 10) RIGHT before the Chase. I think I was um...less happy...about that than I was about this season.

----

Oh, and on Jr...yeah...cool that he won one.

(Now, if Jimmie Johnson had just stayed back a few seconds longer a few weeks ago... *L* I was SO on my feet at the end of that race where it might as well have been only (B.) Labonte and Johnson at the end)

awwww, yeah, that was sad. Bobby's my brother's driver too, and I like him alot myself, we were very disappointed he didn't make The Chase last year. :( Well, "disappointed" is not a strong enough word to describe my brother's feeling, but I'm sure you know how he felt.
