In the morning, Mac and Stella, woke up to pounding on the door, getting up, Mac answered it, and found his sons there. "Hey dad...about time, getting lazy in your old age"? "Listen son, I can ship you back, if you like". "Sorry dad, it's just you're usually up by now". "Your mom and I had a late night, with her evening sickness". "Sick...mom's sick"? "No son, she's pregnant again". Howling with laughter, Arthur said...."Christ dad, I guess you're not old after all". "Smart ass", said Mac, get upstairs, and see your mom". Running upstairs, Arthur jumped on the bed, like he did when he young. "Hi mommy, I'm home". Stella giggled, still the same, aren't you son, never grew up did you". "Of course not mom, so how's Clair"?



"Not sure, she's still sick alot, I think she's pregnant again, we should know by today, as she has an appointment". "God...this whole family is like rabbits, between you, Calleigh, Marisol, Claire, the Taylor/caine clans, will never die out". "I guess not son, now where is your brother"? "He's downstairs, whinning to dad, about school". "Hmmm...why did you decide to change schools hun, I thought you liked it there". Looking into his moms eyes, he said..."It's Desti mom, I missed her, alot, everything about her, her attitude, her laugh, her sweetness". As stella watched her son's expressions, she knew, if he had his way, there would be another Taylor/Caine wedding, very soon.



"Well, you better move quickly son, from what your dad and I have heard, she has a new man, his name is Peter". "Yeah...we'll see about that, won't we mom, I'm going to get changed, and head over to see Cody". "Okay son, good luck", she giggled. After changing his clothes, Arthur headed over to Cody's, and as he went to knock Desti came out, at the same time. "Whoa....what's your hurry there Desti"? destinee, stopped dead in her tracks, and could feel her heart speed up, she had always loved Arthur, he had his dad's gorgeous looks,, and handsome smile, that could melt an ice cube in winter.



Not giving in to temptaion, or her heart, she said...."To the mall, I have a date". That did it, Arthur's face became angry, and Desti could Mac Sr everywhere. "I think not Desti, I should have done this, a long time ago, and without warning, he pulled her into his arms, and kissed her savagely. The deeper he went, the more she sighed. Knowing she was innocent, Arthur broke the kiss, and said..."Now tell me again, where are you going"? Looking at Arthur with fire in her eyes, she said..."To the mall, good-bye Arthur". Arthur stood in shock, he thought for sure she would change her mind. "Oh man, that was good", said Cody, here's your ten bucks". "Laugh now man, but this isn't over, let's go". "Where are we going Arthur"? "To the mall, to get my girl". With a laugh, Cody got into the Hummer, and took off with Arthur to the mall.

Meanwhile..Brad and Marisol were heading home with their new baby. "Okay Marisol, please remember, no intercourse for six weeks". "I know, don't worry, we'll be good". The nurse laughed. "Well my dear, if you are anything like your parents, and those Taylor's, I have a feeling, we will be seeing you real soon". *Giggling* "Very funny Betty, said Brad, if I was you, I'd be careful, or on your next visit, I'll make one larger than the other". Betty laughed, "I have no fear of that, You are to good, at what you do Brad, you two take care of that baby, and of yourselves". "We will Betty, no worries there".



When they got home, Destinee was sitting with the twins. "Hey desti, I thought you went to the mall with your new beau"? "No..I told Cody I'd watch the twins, because he wated to see Arthur, he's back for good". "Really, said Marisol, and how does that, make you feel"? "Makes no difference to me, he's an annoyance". "Hmmm....are you sure Mari, I'm reading something different in your eyes". "I'll put the baby down, and you two can talk, said Brad. When brad left the room, Marisol asked again..."Desti...do you love Arthur"? With tears in her eyes, Desti said...."Yes, but he left me three years ago, without saying good-bye, I can't forget that".



"I understand that love, but let me ask you, how do you feel, when you are near him"? "Scared, my heart speeds up, and I feel safe, and warm, and when he kissed me, I felt it, all the way through, to my toes, it was amazing Mar". "Sweetheart, that's when you know, it's love, don't fight it Desti, let it happen". Knowing her sister was right, she said..."Fine, but I'm still not going to make it easy for him". "That's fine love, but don't push him away to much, or you may just lose him".



"Okay Mari, I'm going to go now, you need rest, and Brad needs you, she giggled". After Desti left, she headed home to wait for Cody and Arthur to come back. Meanwhile...Cody and Arthur were looking everywhere, for Destinee. "Where the hell is she Cody"? "I don't know, she told me she was coming here, after seeing Mari's new daughter". "Well call, and see if she has left yet". As Cody phoned Brad answered the phone. "Hello"..."hey Brad, it's Cody, is Desti still there"? "No Cody, she left 20 minutes ago". "Okay thanks Brad". "He said, she left twenty minutes ago". "Then she should be here by now". "I don't know man, let's go find one of her friends".



As they walked along the mall, Cody seen Peter. "Peter...Peter". "Is that Desti's guy"? "behave Arthur, I mean it". "No worries, I'm fine". When Peter walked over, Arthur sized him up, and realized he could take him easy. "Have you seen Desti"? "No..she was supposed to meet me here, but hasn't shown up yet"."We will Betty, no worries there". "Okay...thanks Man". "No problem Cody, tell her to call me later"? "I will Peter, no worries". When Peter left, Arthur said...."You're not going to tell Desti, are you"? "Of course I am, it's only fair, you're the one that screwed up, and I'm not going to make it easier for you", Cody laughed. "You are the Devil, damn you for being a Caine". "And damn you, for being so stupid, three years ago". "Yeah...you're right man, let's go home".

When Cody and Arthur got in the door, Desti was outside walking batty. "Hey mom, I'm home, where is Desti"? "She's walking the dog". "Alone, this time of night". "Your dad, told her she could, she's fine, Batty will protect her". Arthur wasn't buying that, "I'll see you later Cody, I'm going to find her". "be careful man, Batty don't know you, she'll attack". "I'm not worried about no little puppy". Cody laughed, and said..."I bet you my ten dollars back, that you get bit". "Deal, probaley some munchkin type dog".



Cody was still laughing when his mom came in. "What's so funny son"? "Cody, has decided to find Desti, because he is worried about her". "Are you serious, Batty will kill him". "I warned him mom, he wouldn't listen". "Oh this is great, now what"? At that moment, "H" walked in. "Dad, you better get down to the beach, and find Desti before Arthur does"? "Why son"? "Because Batty will kill him". "Oh Christ, I forgot, she was walking Batty, let's go Cody".



As they walked quickly along the beach, they could hear growling, and screaming. Running ahead of his dad, Cody seen Batty had Arthur cornered, and his teeth sunk into his groin. "Just don't move man, or he'll clamp down, stay still". "That's okay for you to say, it's not your package he has in his jaws". Cody was howling, he couldn't help it, poor Arthur was white as a sheet. "RELEASE"....yelled "H", and Batty released. "Christ thanks "H". "Cody where is your sister"? "Right here dad, sitting right here". "Why didn't you call off Batty"? "Oh, I don't know, maybe because Arthur snuck up on me, and scared Batty, into biting him".



"Is this true son"? "Yes sir, only I didn't think this beast, would attack me". "She's not a beast, she just didn't know you, you're such an ass, and I wouldn't go out with you, if you were laced in Gold". With that said, Desti went back to the house, with Batty. "You love her, don't you son"? "I do sir, yes, but she's being very nasty towards me". "Maybe that's because you left her without saying good-bye". "I know sir, but I was shy back then, I've grown up over the last three years". "I can see that son, so I suggest, you try again, and don't give up, until you've captured her". "Oh believe me sir, I have no intention, of giving up". With that said, the guys, headed back to the house.

When they entered the house, Desti was in the kitchen with her mom, washing dishes. "Listen mom, is it okay if I go watch a movie, I know it's late, and I have school tomorrow, but I just need to relax and unwind a bit". "You seen Arthur didn't you"? "Yeah, well, actually he scared me, and Batty attached himself to his groin", she giggled. "Are you serious, Batty bit his....". "Yes mom, she had a death grip on him, and wouldn't let go". "Desti... what do you mean, she wouldn't let go, she listens to your commands". Looking into her mothers eyes, calleigh knew, she didn't call off the dog. "Oh Desti... why love, he could have been hurt". "Beacause, I was angry, and upset, that he left me three years ago, without saying good-bye".



"Oh sweetheart...if I remember right, did he not call you, and write you, those three years". "I know, I never excepted his letters, or his calls, I completely ignored them, and sent them back". "Desti...I can understand your anger, but you have to remember how shy Arthur used to be". "I know mom, but all he had to say, was good-bye". "Okay Desti, you have to do, what you think is right, just don't wait to long, or you may lose him for good". "Maybe I don't want him, at all". "Now that my dear, is a fib, I can see how much you still love him". "I know mom, but why is it all, so confussing"? "True love is sweetheart, that's how you know it's real, now go watch your movie". Kissing her mom on the cheek, Desti left the room.



"hey sweetheart, need any help"? asked "H". "Nope..all finished, let's go to bed, and you can talk to our baby". "Again love, now you know what happens when I talk to your tummy". Winking Calleigh said..."I know, let's go". After the house was quiet, Arthur watched Desti from the den door. "Hey Desti, can I come in". "Whatever". Walking in Arthur went to sit beside her, when Batty growled. "I suggest you use the chair, before she attacks again". "Damn Desti, you are making this so hard". "Making what hard, I've done nothing wrong". "No!! having your dog attack me, and not calling him off". Looking over at Arthur she said...."Well, at least I didn't leave without saying good-bye". "Desti, I already apologized for that, several times, and you never answered my letters, how do you think, that made me feel"?



"I was angry Arthur, you left without saying good-bye". "Listen Desti, if you had of opened that letter, you would have seen my apology, or if you had answered the phone, you would have heard it". Getting up Arthur went to leave the room. "Please don't go Arthur, stay". Walking back over Arthur picked up Desti, as Batty growled. "Down girl, it's okay". As Batty laid back down, Arthur took Desti back in his arms, and kissed her with firey passion. With a sigh, and a moan, Arthur knew it was time, to break the kiss, and as he did, Horatio walked in. "Okay than... I think that's goodnight, don't you Desti"? "Sure dad, night Arthur, I'll call you tomorrow".

As Arthur headed home, he thought back to the times, when he and Destinee, used to bump heads, pull each others hair, and annoy the hell out of each other. "To funny, if anyone had of told me, I would one day marry her, I would have laughed in their face", he said to himself. As he pulled into the driveway, he noticed the light on in the shed. Thinking it was his dad, he walked back, and pulled open the door. "Who the hell are you"? As the guy tried to run, Arthur grabbed him, and began to wrestle. Knocking over garbage cans, and paint containers, Mac heard the noise. "What is that Mac"? "I'm not sure love, stay here".



As Mac went to investigate, Arthur was still wrestling with the guy, until he pulled out a knife, and stabbed Arthur in the chest. Pushing Arthur off him, the guy took off, as Mac came out. Seeing his son laying in the garage, he ran to him. "Arthur...son, answer me". When Mac turned him over, he seem the stab wound, close to his heart. "Stella....call 911, now". As Stella called, Mac tended to his son, as best he could. "Arthur..listen to me son...stay with me". "It hurts dad, it hurts so bad, said Arthur gurggling blood. "Just hold on son, keep fighting". "Dad...tell Desti I always loved her". "Stop that son, you can tell her yourself". "Son, son....". Just as the EMT's pulled up, Mac couldn't find a pulse. "Hurry, he's not breathing".



As the EMT's worked, Mac and Stella watched in great pain. "God Mac....we can't lose him, we just got him home". "Shhh!!! it's okay, love, he's a fighter, call "H" and Calleigh, let them know, what's going on". Mac needed Stella away, because in his heart, he knew, his son may not make it. "We've got him stablized, who's coming with us"? "I am, said Mac, sweetheaet, you stay with the kids, and I'll call you from the Hospital". "Okay... please tell me he's going to make it Mac". Not wanting to give his wife, false hope, he said....."I'll call you".



Meanwhile, Calleigh had awakened Destinee. "Desti, wake up love, and get dressed". "What... why mom"? "Arthur has been stabbed in the chest". "How.... he just left here, please say this is dream mom". "Afraid not love, he was wrestling with an intruder". "Oh God.... please mom, is he going to be okay"? "We don't know love, your dad is waiting to take you over, so hurry". "Okay mom, I'll be right there". As Destinee dressed, she sobbed, and said... "Please don't die Arthur, hang on, just hang on". "You ready sweetheart"? "Yeah dad, but I'm scared, what if he....". "Stop that love, just stay positive". "Okay dad, I'm sorry". "You don't have to be sorry sweetie, just hang on , okay". "Okay dad".
