I want to be in her wardrobe too Erica ;)

I just read the nominee list. I think it is sad that Marg wasn't nominated.
I didn't care for BTK (both parts) but that doesn't mean that she didn't deserve a NOD....

We know she's great!

Marg always chooses great clothes.

It's disappointing that Marg didn't get nominated, she deserved it for her amazing performance. We know how great she is though. :)

where are ya finding the nominee list? i want to see who is nominated instead of our CSI's. :(
There is a thread called "LV awards discussion" in there I put in a link to the list of nominees.

I can't believe Marg didn't get nominated. That's such an indignation. She deserved an award for that episode.

Unfortunately, the critics and those who pick the nominees refuse to acknowledge CSI once it went from some little show on Friday to the powerhouse that it is blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...you know the rest.

They could give the most amazing performances (Marg always George - Grave Danger, etc. and it just won't matter. :( :(

Well, I happen to think the nominations list seem pretty fair although I'm not completely satisfied because Marg wasn't nominated. I kind of saw this coming because I was aware of the fact that CSI has gotten old for the Emmy voters and that it was hard to have them focus on just Marg while it's a show with a huge, ensemble cast. However, I can't help feeling a little disappointed because I truly think this was Marg's best chance since her last nod (for season 3, I think?) and I also think her performance in BTK 2 was even better than in LHB. That self-processing scene in the beginning was like...FTW. It's a pity that part of the voters didn't think Marg was more deserving than her competitors, but I do think they've picked some really great nominees. IMO all the nominees in this category deserve their nods. I just wish one of them was Marg.

That self-processing scene in the beginning was like...FTW.
Yeah that scene was brilliant... but didn't CSI submit Built to Kill Part 2? The whole self processing scene was in Part 1, wasn't it?
Like what I've said before, I would've loved it if they submitted Built to Kill Part 1 instead. Even if Marg was only in the last few minutes of the episode I thought the self processing scene was powerful enough for her to land a spot among the top choices of the Emmy voters.

Again, BTK wasn't my favorite Cath episode, BUT Marg did deserve at least the NOD. Her preformance in BTK was supurb.

It was, to me, different than LHB in that we see her phyically do something that most of us women would cringe at or never think of doing and she didn't have to say a thing.

LOL there was a shorter version of the self-processing scene in the beginning of part 2, but I agree, they could have submitted part 1 instead of part 2. It probably would have been better.

It's a pity that the full processing scene would not have been seen, you don't see very much of it at the beginning of BTK2. Maybe they were thinking more of Catherine's reaction to Lindsey being kidnapped and then when they find her. That was another scene Marg was great in. She made me cry watching it.

Ohhh yeah I forgot about that!
And that Lindsey/Cath scene too!

The critics thought she had the chance to get a nom. The one from Entertainment Weekly even chose Marg over Edie Falco, lol.
Oh well, there's still the Golden Globes to look forward to...

While the Cath/Lindsey scene was great - particularly the fact that when they found her, Cath just wanted to touch her and she knew she couldn't - I feel that the self-processing scene was stronger and more emotional. Don't get me wrong - I love the Cath/Lindsey scene, but I mean...how many times has anyone seen a scene like that self-processing one? That was serious gold.

BTW Hottie - your icon totally rocks.

I think they went with Part 2 because whole episode was Cath-centric - starting with her leaving the motel and continuing on her quest for the truth, then the accident with Lindsey, and all entwined by the Sam storyline.

However, as great as Marg was in that entire episode, I felt the processing scene at the end of Part 1 packed more of a powerful Marg punch than the entire episode of part 2, even though the entire processing scene had no dialogue. THAT's where Marg is at her absolute best! (think: end of LHB where she's crying her heart out)
