Mac/Stella #13 -Office sex just waiting to happen...

I have a question - What do you guys think Stella and Claire's relationship was like? Personally, I think there was possibly some tension between the two. Stella is very close to Mac, and if she had a crush on him when Claire was alive, maybe Claire picked up on it and resented Stella for it. Or maybe she resented how much time Stella spent with Mac at work. Maybe sometimes she even felt like Mac spent more time with Stella than he did with her, especially when Mac and Stella worked major cases together. And maybe Stella found it hard to be around Claire because Claire was the one who 'got' Mac, she was the one he loved most and who was the most important woman in his life at that time. If she had a crush on Mac, it must have been very hard to know he was going home to Claire every night.

that´s a good question.i personally think that there was no problem between claire and stella. i think the whole situation was different and incommensurable.but if they had seen each other very often ( and i can´t imagine that), they would have liked each other.we all know that mac loves claire and will always love her in some way, and i think stella knows that, too - and even wants him to do that. that´s why she is the one for mac(today). she could accept macs pain about claires dead and wouldn´t be jealous, she would understand that. in my opinion the friendship between mac and stella first changes after claires dead, we all know that stella was so important for mac, she was the one to help him to get out again - just as a friend, not because she had something in mind.all that trouble they were going through after claires dead, let them get closer. so i think stella hadn´t a problem with claire and won´t have one in the future.

Jimenez, I agree with what you said, I think that Stella and Claire would have been friends, I dunno what it is, but something makes me think that the 2 of them would have been close... I also think that after Claire died, that's when them become closer... I dunno why, I just get the impression that Mac, Stella and Claire would all have been friends, I don't think there would have been any tensions between Stella and Claire... Although it's hard to know cause we don't really know much about Claire...

You make a very good point, Jimenz. I do agree with you that Mac and Stella's relationship changed and deepened after Claire died, when they got closer and she was really there for him and helped him get through it. I also agree that she accepts that Mac loved Claire, and will always love her in some way. I suppose it depends on how Stella felt about Mac before Claire died. If she didn't have a crush on him back then, I don't think she would have any problem with Claire, and they just didn't meet very often. But if she did have a crush on Mac, at the very least she must have been envious of Claire. Perhaps she even felt sort of guilty for having a crush on another woman's husband? But I think Stella always accepted Mac's love for Claire. Even if she had a crush on Mac before Claire died, Stella would never have done anything to damage their marriage. But maybe she just felt friendship for Mac before his wife's death, and fell in love with him afterwards, when he was so vulnerable and she spent more time with him and they got closer. That's a sweet idea.
But maybe they were friends, and Mac, Stella and Claire met up often. Like Adoraboo Crazy says, it is very hard to tell when we don't know very much at all about Claire.

I also think Stella and Claire would be friends, the situation was different when Claire lived, and now Claire is dead, and everything changes after someone dies, Mac and Stellas relationship have probably changed 'cause Stella was with Mac when he was mourning over Claire.. they would be more close to each other than before..

i don´t know but it´s hard for me to imagine that stella had a crush on mac when claire was still alive.if it were that way, stella would have already noticed (in the earlier seasons) that she loves or at least adores mac. but at this time i still get the feeling that they (mac and stella) haven´t real noticed their feelings. i´m talking about feelings in relation to a love relationship not to a deep friendship.
i would rather say that stella could have been a bit jealous of claire because she had such a great husband who cares about her and really loves her. not because it´s "mac" but rather that she would have such a marriage herself.
but if i´m wrong, and she already had a crush on mac, than i would agrre that she felt at least a little bit jealousy

It's curious but i think Stella knew about Claire and i guess Claire knew about Stella but they never met face to face. Stella did know how much Mac loved his wife and she helped him throught the pain but she never knew how Claire was. That's the impression i got from "Consequences" when Reed asked her "Are you Claire Conrad?" and i think Stella answered "No" (and it was obvious she couldn't recognize her name). Being as honest as she is, i don't think Stella made "eyes" to Mac despite of i really feel she was highly impressed by his personality. I can say the same about Mac (he remembered the first case where they worked together as he said in Open and Shut). She let helself to deepen her feelings after Claire's death. It concluded 3 years later when she asked to wear his wedding ring off. And he said no and she looked truly dissapointed

The writers are Evil People, sometimes, yes, but they are not SP's (Stupid People), and I am sure they are doing this distance thing with M/S for some reason.

I'd like to be as optimistic as you are :lol::lol::lol: and i really hope the distance between them is leading them into some great storyline

and i agree with you dear! I think we need to blame the writers for this nonsense. Poor Mac and Stella are being written against Nature:scream:

I don't know why I have the strange feeling that they were best friends. I learned a lot a lot about such relationships in the last few weeks and there's no way they could've been jealous of each other. I'm sure Mac and Stel have always been best friends and that were some things Claire could've neve5r understood. From what I larned about her she must've been the ,most loving and winderful person ever. And I don't think Stella would've ever dared to even think about a love relationship between her and Mac back then.

Hey Sweetie, Mac and Stella's fight over Adam is because Mac is forced by Sinclair to make budget cuts, these budget cuts mean that Mac has to let Adam go... However Mac doesn't want to, he wants to fight Adam's case, Stella thinks that Mac should just let him go... This leads to fighting/tensions between the 2... Hope this helps.

Sinclair asked Mac to fire a team member because of budget cuts. Mac says "No way. Let's get rid of technology". Stella says "No way technology. We need to find another way" Stella will be the Voice of Reason here as usual. HIS Voice of reason And if you ask me i think somebody else take the decition regarding Adam and he will be finally fired for a few episodes (just my guessing)until they finally figure out how to bring him back

They cannot fire Adam... I forbid it... :scream: :scream: :scream: I don't want there to be a few episodes without Adam... Well actually it's going to be a maximum of 1 ep without him, cause he's in 5.06 and 5.08 is when he has his 'date' with Stella... Hmm... I think I can live without him for one ep... I don't like how Mac being forced to fire Adam is going to cause tensions... Damn Sinclair... It's all his fault... At the minute Mac and Stella are on ok(ish) terms, but his budget cuts are going to cause tension with our fave couple... Then there are also going to be more tensions later... Gosh TPTB why, oh why do you have to be so evil to us!?
