AMEN!!! I have been saying this all along. I don't care about the sex part much, besides everybody is doing it :lol: but, it would have make more sence (to me at least) if it was somebody else, as Debbie said, like the Fireman!

And I absolutely hate how they used Adam. I mean, he was the easy target for Stella to have a fling because he had a crush on her. Disgusting.:scream: Not blaming Stella, I'm blaming the decision made by the writers. It was disgusting for both characters.

Cyn, I won't mention the current storyline anymore. I will live S6 episode after episode i guess.
I just want the integrity of both characters, Stella and Adam, will be preserved. Now they are in the game it's better they play as it was planned. Let's wait everything will be good for all of us later in the season (I could shoot Mac in this moment)

Hahaha, yeah, let's not mention it again until the writers brings it back. I hope not. It was totally pointless and I still don't see where the writers want to go with it or if they even planned to go anywhere with it besides creating dramaz! So, unless they bring explanation I'll forever think it was a stupid writing decision. If it was just for the ratings and shocking the fans, ew. There goes quality...

^ Cyn it's not that we can't discuss things that indirectly affect the ship. After all, we've discussed Peyton, Brendon, Frankie, and Drew before. It's the fact that we (and yes, I'm guilty of this too) have turned a Smacked board into a rant/bashing board about what happened with Adam and Stella. The mods are just doing their jobs.

Now, in an attempt to steer the convo back to Smack and keep the board from being temporarily shut down, I'd like to know something:

What's the reason all of you guys ship Smack? Is it the looks, the touches, the eyes? Why are y'all Smackies instead of another shipper?

Personally for me it's all of the above. There's just something about the way they look at each other, and how each almost knows exactly what's going on in the others life without having to ask.

Currently watching 'Super Men' and the scene about 'little Mac-man' just came on. Anyone else here want to see Mac and Stella running around in a superhero suits? Especially Mac. :devil: :drool:

For me, I think it's both touches and looks. While the touches and looks are great, it's their chemistry. They know each other better than anyone else on the show, they know their quirks, indiscretions and they don't need to come right out and say what's on their minds. I'm a Smackie because it's the first thing I noticed when I first began watching CSI:NY, back in season 2. I can't remember the episode but they were having a fight about something and it just hit me. It felt more like a lovers quarrel than a co-worker fight you know?

Mac in a super hero suit? :drool: Count me in

everything. It's a combo because they look at each other and they talk without words
Because they touch and what it's common with anybody else, watching them just sharing a hug it makes it special and unique and HOT

Combo. Also add the great chemistry between Gary and Melina and it much more unique. Not all tv lead stars have that!!!!!!!
And i guess since it's intangible it's difficult to describe.

If we thought this is JUST fiction shows wouldn't have fans, only occasional viewers
But because we believe in this characters, we participate in forums, discussing and defending our POV and buying merchandise. Because we are fans.
That's why we feel well or not according to these stories. That's why we listen music. Because it brings you emotions.
I am not ashamed of loving these characters as I do. And i won't apologyze even tough they could want send me a strait jacket

Hey guys, as many of you know, a poll is suposed to be closed after 48 of being set up, well it's been 48 hours since this poll was created, and therefore, I've picked the thread title with most votes and set it for you guys, hope you're all ok with it.

Anyhoo... I'm with you Debbie, the reason I ship Smacked is a mixture of many different things, it's their looks, their touches, their comments to one and other, the way they act when they're together, or talking about one and other, the chemistry between them, and the fact that their friendship would be ground for an amazing relationship, they just have so many things going for them, that would make them such an awesome couple. I'm intrigued to see how things are going to pan out for them the rest of the season, I hope we get lots more scenes like the one at the end of the last ep, it was adorable... :adore: We need more like it.

yep, this for me as well. as has been said gary and melina do a great job of it, it helps that they clearly get along really well anyway and makes it all a lot more believable.

I tried to sneak in here yesterday before I had to leave for my cousin wedding, but I didn't have the time.. I had pretty much fun, and guess what? the guys that had controll over the music, they played csi ny teme song:guffaw: people danced to it and all:lol: One thing I can say, we partied Norwegian style:guffaw:

Riight now Im picturing Mac getting a bit beated up out on a crime scene, and then the doctors say to him that if he wants to go home, he'll have to have someone to watch him, in case something happends to him at home.. then everyone on the team point Stella out to be the one managing to get him to bed and make him stay there (don't think guttery now like I am thinking now:guffaw and Stella start to nurse him back to healt, and after a while when things get a bit ''warmer'', Stella deside to suprise Mac with a nurse costume and well things happends:devil::devil:

For me it's the looks, the touches. I love how they can look at each other, and say so much, without speaking a word, or saying actual words but saying more with their looks and touches. I love how they are both flawed, vulnerable, damaged people, and how they seem to understand that about each other and how they tolerate each other's flaws and call each other on it when one steps out of line, but how they are there to support each other too. I really hope we see Mac step up and really be there for Stella, and hopefully we will. I want more hugs and chats like in the Greece episode. A scene involving coffee would be good, because coffee = Smacked!
I love also how they can make each other smile and they can tease each other. I love how they can stand up to each other and fight and make up. I can't see anyone fighting with Mac the way Stella does, or anyone else trying to rein Stella in when she needs it the way Mac does. And Stella is the only one allowed to sit on his desk, I love that.
I love the level of trust between them, for example Mac confiding in Stella when he has doubts about a case or a personal problem like with Ella.
I also think they are great working together on cases.

Stella/Adam, from what I've read, seems to have been a one-time thing. It is rather OOC for them both, but Adam is a sweet and lovely guy, and if Stella has to have a one night stand/complicated relationship with someone, I'd rather it be Adam than that fireman from s5. I don't expect Mac and Stella to full on get together this season, but I do think we will get some lovely Smacked moments in s6 - we got some wonderful ones in s5, after all.

For me too, the first thing I noticed after that Melina was playing in the show :lol: was the great chemistry they share. They have a unique companionship and a relationship that even some merried couples would envy.
I was thinking that since we are TPTB favorite "tease toy" we will have some great SMAC scenes in s6. Let's just give it a little more time TPTB will come with a master plan

I think Adam will be more apt to want to continue a relationship then Stella. He was more "In Love". I guess when you think about it he is /was the most non threatening person for Stella to sleep with. I guess once the shock has been wearing off and you think about it Stella seems more grounded and back to business as was seen in the last part of the show. It will be interesting now that Mac is not so focused on the "Who done it" he may notice Adams longing for Stella and stop to think about her himself. The start of this season really picked up (after that first scene of course) I guess Stella gets lonely too. At least she did not go into it hoping for the beginning of a new relationship which makes it better for us! And now that Haden is here to preoccupy Adam this will take the his mind off of Stella and hopefully Mac can get his mind on her!!!:lol:

is exactly what made me fall in love with Mac and Stella. The interaction, the chemistry between them is something exciting. Words are not necessary. just one look. and this is not for everyone.
I was thinking. was better not to have been that Mac was with Stella because I prefer it when they get together, either because they finally accepted the true feeling you have for each other, either because they are happy. and not only to be comforted by the pain they are feeling.

As they say "after the storm comes the calm" ...
