*LOVE the heart-to-heart conversations Mac and Stella had on this eppy. It has been a year since we had those in "Taxi" when they talked about Reed

*Stella's face changed twice: one when they were talking about the case walking through the corridor and he said something "she really felt in love with this guy..yadda yadda yadda" Those words were the trigger which pushed Stella to ask him about Ella "You never finish your story"
"What story"
"Ella"

"You know me too long" Mac said to Stella and she answered "You don't forget that". This is the second time she said so to him . First time was when he told her she was a good friend because she saved Adam's job in 5.06

"Every time i have met this young woman she has been crying" (Mac)

"And very cleverly she...a way to your life" (Stella)

"You really cared about her" this was the second time when you can notice a change in Stella's face. She looked almost dissapointed or sad

"Move on!" "If you open that door, what's next""You can't save the world"

"I know. I know. I an understand that. I guess i just needed to hear it from you"

C'mon this was the best they ever had. They put their heart on the table to talk about this psycho chick who will be a HUGE problem at some point

It delighted me the closeness between them. It is far beyond anything i ould imagine. Being them a couple couldn't have it done much better than last night.
Their body languages also talked about closeness. And Stella's smile when she heard Mac's words "I needed to hear it from you":drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:

It was so incredible SMACked this episode i can't believe they have done it!

Sorry but i do think Ella is creepy and a psycho. I wonder what she will do net. Hopefully Stella will kick her butt. Mac, obviously, is a victim of his silly heart. I think he should reconsider his position as the Highest ranked CSI:vulcan: Stella was THE BOSS during the whole episode, not Mac. His previous record with Ethan doesn't help him at all

I noticed that too Debbie! I was like c'mon, Mac are you serious. You've known this girl for what like two seconds. You are breaking Stella's heart. But then again, it could be payback for going to the ball with the firefighter

I absolutely love how well Mac & Stella know each other. It's like they are one. :lol: I loved how she called him out on his emotions. He is too emotionally involved in this one, didn't he say the same thing to her about the Greek guy?

I am still hoping for some major Stella rambo action once she finds out that Ella is stalking her precious Mac.

Hi guys! I'm not a usual poster in this thread but I pop in from time to time to see what's going on with the awesomeness that is this pairing . I really loved them last night. The way Stella knows Mac so well, and the way Mac knows that she knows him so well . Gotta love them ! Question though...

I loved all the closeness between Mac and Stella this eppy. :adore: All their smiles and gazes exchanged. :adore: What I don't understand is why Mac asked for Stella's advice but behaved in a totally opposite way? He's been in this job over a decade, why he feels so responsible for this freak? :shifty: Maybe the writers just made them even because Stella is hiding something from Mac? I don't recall who said about the perps like to talk about the crimes they comitted. The last line that freak talked about 'an eyeball drops into a woman's coffee' may just blew her out. She definitely stalked Mac and Stella and witnessed what happened. I feel helpless when the TPTB keep brings in love interests for Mac and Stella. I feel angry when that freak plays such ugly tricks on them. :scream: I hope this storyline to be finished ASAP with Stella smacks that freak hard on her ugly big head.

mmmm i doubt it from Mac's side. He seems to be feeling a weakness for her but not in a romantic way:vulcan: I can't say the same regarding Ella's side. She is a psycho and at least they have decided to "cure" her miraculously she will be an issue. . You can't have a character being an insane girl in one eppy and the following one all healthy and ready to become into somebody's love interest. I wonder how Stella will react when she finds out

Tex--> oh god! you felt the same! Stella has this "I am totally in love with you" expression! she was sad when she realized he really cared for psycho chick! And when he said "I understand...i guess i only needed to hear you" or something like that!
Her smile! she was thrilled! And Mac will break her heart!
Much better, Mac will realize his true feelings for Stella when this psycho hurts Stella (I don't care if it's cliché. I want my SMACed:drool::drool::drool:

probably ecause he knew Claire in similar circumstances??? (just guessing ) This season Mac has been particularly erractic because in Hostage he believed Ethan and now he believes in psycho chick

Last night was just phenomenal. It was so different but I liked that. Mac is a good man with a good heart and Ella is a poor girl who has no one left. Do I see anything happening between them? No really. Their relationship reminds me of the one i had with my youth leader. I was confused and in a dump and he came along and pulled me out. He helped me out enough that I now have a better head on my shoulders and hopefully that will happen with Ella. Mac is just tuning in with his paternal instincts. He's human. I think we should let him. Just because it isn't his professional job, doesn't mean he can't help. he knows that and Stella knows. The looks they had throughout the whole episode where just... ah! They were heart pumping. I don't know what it was about last night, but I think things are really changing. We really are seeing the appreciation they have for each other and how well they know each other. We have known that it has been there the whole time, but the writer gratefully keep coming back with that. It really looked like a writer's hint! But the look Stella had after their conversation.. okay, I have that exact same look on my face when my crush sincerely compliments me. That should tell you something.

Thanks Vave for telling us this story . It was sweet!!!!!! Mmmmmm i think the problem here she was written as a psycho from the beginning and Stella pointed him that out. So i do feel it would be a mistake if they change suddenly that storyline and become her a sweet angel. It wouldn't make sense.

Besides her last comment didn't help her to considerer her "sane". Besides what's the point to bring her up again to Mac's life if she is not going to play a part.It's not consistent

(I must admit i prefer the psycho storyline and the possible consequences on Stella

Yeah, I know what you mean. Like I said, I don't expect to see her around. I just hope she gets her head back to straight. I mean we would all be psychos if we found out our mom had killed our dad. It just didn't seem right that everyone is labeling her a psycho just because she has taken a likeness towards Mac. He's the only not treating her like a psycho. Does she need help? Yeah. Is she getting it? yeah. Does she need to move on? Mm-hmm. And she will, and we shall continue to get sweet SMacked moments. I'm just asking for a little tenderness. That's all.

Did anyone else notice just how happy and laid back Mac was last night? I mean, really. He was always smiling and what not. Might have been his long exposure to Stella. I mean, that was a Gary grin at the beginning of the episode. That was one of the biggest smiles I have ever seen on his face. And Stella speaking greek? Who else does she speak that to?:lol:

Vave, I loved what you wrote about Mac being human and a good man. Debbie, don't worry, I don't think Mac will break Stella's heart at least not by getting involved with Ella romantically. It's kinda cute though how Stella is 'sad' about how much Mac cares for Ella, do you think she is sad because she would like him to care about her that much? Which he does of course.
I think Stella will be hurt when she finds out Mac went against her advice, though, and he will be hurt when he finds out she disobeyed him. I hope we will get some good Smacked out of that. I think they both did it with good intentions - Mac wants to help Ella, and Stella wants to put a bad man (Diakos) away - I like how they are both led by their emotions sometimes.

I personally think it is good that Stella acted more the boss this eppy. Bosses can't always act perfectly, or be in total control of their emotions. No matter how high-ranking you are in your job, emotion does affect you sometimes, and I think it's great to see that with Mac. As you said, Vave, he's human. I think Stella essentially taking the 'boss' role with Mac here shows yet again how they are so far past 'boss-employee' and how Mac's relationship/friendship with Stella helps him be such a great boss. It's also great to see that even Mac needs advice sometimes, and that he turns to Stella for that advice.

I love Stella telling Mac he can't save the world, that is like something a wife would say to her hard-working detective husband. I like too that Mac knows that, but he needed to hear it from her. I think Stella shares Mac's need to 'save the world' but she knows she can't either, and that's part of what makes them so close.

Yes I think you are right! After reassessing the situation I have come to the conclusion that if she was NOT a psyco there would not be much of a story line for her. I believe she will emerge in that form and Mac will see her as such but I am STANDING FIRM that she is NOT a love interest on Macs part. It is too creepy for the age difference and I do not think Gary would approve of a storyline like that besides his older kids may watch the show!! even nonshippers would need a shower if that was the case and after just doing the Sex drug trafficking nah it is not going to happen. Besides TPTB are always trying to lead us down these paths look at NIT it was not what we thought after all. Mac asking Stellas opinion only reaffirms that it is wrong and Mac values Stellas opinion. I think Mac went to see Ella and take her out to coffee to let her know "It will be o.k." as he said and to let her know he will not be a part of her life then the Stalking will begin:klingon: Remember My name is Mac Taylor and they told each other "It makes you appreciate the ones you care about" well Mac is in a "Round about way" trying to let Stella know he cares for her. He calls her at the gala (they did not match him up with NIT there) and nothing indicated he had a date. Stella just seemed like she was just stringing the Firenit along. Besides the only reason Mac told the story about his past to Ella was to give her hope in life because it bothered him about the suicide so much. Well I have to go I just got home from work and I need to watch the eppie again. Well it looks like "The flood gates have opened" even TPTB have to let it out every now and again and YES They are GREAT Together

Gee, I shouldn't have been so lazy this morning, now I have virtually nothing to say here. You said it all for me, girls!

Yay for Smacked! The episode was so full of it. I loved the both of them working side by side on the same case -which was meaningless, but who cares anyway. Psycho Ella is psycho and I'm eager to see Stella kick her a** if she dares do something to/with Mac. I agree with you all, I don't think Mac is into her at all. He's a good man who's trying to help and his emotions don't let him see past the pity he feels. I wish Ella was simply a tragic, broken character, so that I could get to like her. I have a thing for that kind of characters. Psychos, on the other hand, are oh so cliché and oh so despicable.

So, you all also noticed Stella's face when Mac was telling her how deeply he cared about Ella. You see, I have no one to watch the eppy with, so I found myself staring at the screen, analyzing her reactions and thinking "You can't get more Smacked than that, can you? Or maybe it's just me." They are so cute together. I was relieved to see Mac didn't offer Ella a room at his place, because he looked just about to do so. Had that happened, Stell would have had to knock some sense into him... real hard.

Debbie, thanks a lot! I've watched most of them already, darn. Luckily, I can always re-rewatch them when I'm feeling fluffy and geeky.

Hopefully, Ella will find a relative who lives in like Oregon or something and move there. Then we're all good.

Last night really seemed like the writers were trying to tell us something. My mom even mentioned that it felt like a foreshadowing. Did anyone else get that feeling? During their office discussion. My mom said that with the topic and how Stella took over, and how Mac admitted he needed to her it from her. I don't know. I've been over thinking this thing all day and my head hurts. I'm not making sense to anyone including myself. But I definitely feel that the writers purposely wrote that scene the way they did for a reason. Something is going to happen. Whether Mac and Stella develop a different bond... who knows. I'll stop confusing the mess out of myself and study chemistry.:lol:
