Re: Sofia Curtis

Hmm...now I'm really intrigued about tonight's episode! :D I wanna see a different side of Sofia, especially after what I noticed about her change in last week's episode. She felt more relaxed, IMO, around the team compared to previous episodes when I get the feeling she was gliding on glass very carefully around the others.

Re: Sofia Curtis

Sofia totally rocked in tonight's ep. The whole ep was great but the interplay between her and Brass was awesome. :)

Re: Sofia Curtis

yeah Louise Lombard and Paul Gualfoyle (is that how you spell it??) have great chemistry. They work really well together.

I liked her second scene in the episode when she's at the hospital and the camera guys ask her which side of the fence she likes better (CSI or Cop) and she replies "there both on the same side."

hmm you know I really want to see Sofia kinda deal with Ecklie. I mean they were friends and she was like his Catherine, and then he totally hung her out to dry.

Re: Sofia Curtis

Sofia'll be upset or miffed at what Ecklie did, but I think she'll handle him with the utmost professional respect. :D

I think Brass is Sofia's father-figure. I got the vibe that Brass has a soft spot for her since her first reappearance this season, and of course in "A Bullet..." as well when he came to comfort her.

Re: Sofia Curtis

guys, I think Sofia was great in tonights ep!! I was so glad that she had a good deal of screentime. How she connected with the rape victim was amazing, I thought.
I also like the fact that she doesn't have an attitude about the CSI vs. detective thing. I think sometimes there is this line that runs straight down the middle dividing CSI and the detectives; Sofia takes it all in stride and realizes that it's actually everyone working together for the victims.

i'd be a little more then Miffed, but she's probably not the grudge type of person.

they work so well together. I don't really see a relationship, but there is a ton of great chemistry!

ok this isn't a shipping thread, sorry. :p

Yeah, she's not the grudge-keeping type of person.

I don't see Sofia and Brass being more than having a father-daughter relationship or just have this wonderful, stellar friendship. :D

Ok - so who's going to post the cleavage scene from tonight's ep? :D

You know you can count on me, but it won't be overnight sorry to say.

Yes, we got some damn fine quality Sofia tonight and Brass is soo like a father-figure to her. Love her telling off the film crew, comforting the victim, undoing the button to possible nail the drunk dude - HEY she is a team player to the core and I just love that.

Have to watch again to get more info to talk about, but I’m happy with what we were given tonight. :)

I was going to ask the same question...glad to know someone else had the same thoughts as me.

I also loved seeing the softer side of Sofia when she held the rape victim in the ER. Plus in the interview scene with the victim I about choked when I thought I saw Sofia look near tears. You could see she really took to heart the woman's pain. No doubt Sofia rocks in every aspect. Tonight just made me love her even more. I am hopelessly hooked.

Re: Sofia Curtis

i thought that cleavage scene was classic...kinda cracked me up

Re: Sofia Curtis

Don't have more than a few seconds to post since my computer is still down so I'm sneaking time at work (a no-no) but Sofia ROCKED last night! Loved her reaction to the invasive camera crew, then her switch to total professional when they actually asked her a legitimate question pertaining to the case. Nice balance. And her fun bit with Brass was great, they've really bonded as the quintessential "cop buddies" since ABRTI. Very comfortable with eachother, nice friendship to see.

I'll try to poke in later! I miss y'all terribly! Hopefully my computer will get overhauled this weekend!!

Re: Sofia Curtis

Hey MBG sure do miss you around here, sorry you still have computer problems. You always have great post so even small ones are a treasure.

Finally have posted some screencaps from Werewolves & Daddy's Little Girl up at the CSI Curtis Appreciation Page. Someday I'll catch up like this summer, ha.

Re: Sofia Curtis

I was actually beginning to like Sofia at the beginning of this episode.

She really put the camera crew in its place, she interrogated the victim while still being quite respectful.

And I've never particularly had a problem with her accent.

Then the clevage scene.

And believe you me - since I think Louise does a great job, I will blame this on dialogue.

I have a hard time believing that hard-ass Sofia is going to giggle and smile when her boss sexually harasses her by asking her to pull out her boobs to interrogate someone.

While I've never loved Sofia, I have had a respect for her work ethic in the past. She did slip up in ABRTI, but that was definitely a special circumstance.

This felt very artificial to me, and very tasteless.

And I'm equally upset with Brass's behavior.

This isn't some skewered girl power complex, but it was more that it had followed this really dramatic scene where she was with a rape victim, and although she was "doing it" for this woman, it still came off (to me) as being very tacky.

I do have to say I LOVE that Louise and Jorja have gotten the writers to stop injecting every script with the little "cat-fight" comments (anyone who read Jorja's interview a while back will remember that she said that she and Louise don't like playing those).

And I was very happy to see the two being quite cordial to each other.

But again - they really take Sofia through the mud quite a bit - between the cat-fighting and this.

At the base is a strong, independant woman, and yet they continue to slip in these unnecessary 'blonde' moments.

My take on the cleavage scene is not different than some other scenes that occured on other episodes in the show.
Sofia was simply working with her partner Brass to try and provoke and catch a criminal using whatever means might work. I don't think this was tasteless of either Sofia or Brass. Cops/Detectives go undercover all the time to catch criminals. This was just her doing her job and I commend her for having the guts to show her sexy side to get the job done.

If you recall Cath was in a similar situation in After the Show when the suspect only wanted her to talk to because of her beauty and Cath let them use her in that aspect to try and break the case. Which by the way did work to their advantage.

Sofia isn't afraid to tackle anything face on, thus I think this intimidates some viewers. She shakes things up and I for one thing that makes her a fantastic addition to the show.
