"Loco Motive" Discussion **Spoilers**

i dont think they caught the correct person. the whole doll thing and all. dolls lead me to believe the killer is female, and possibly all 3 were killer cuz they were on a jury of some kind. but that is just my opinion

goldencougarwolf, hi, you have up to 24 hrs to edit your post, so there is no need to triple post. ;)

Okay moving on, I watched the ep tonight (video taped it), Mini scene didn't hold my attention just really couldn't get into it until the point in which they reached the guys (ernie) house.

I have to say the part that got me was case A, it was too funny, talk about a guy who is accident prone or has extremely bad luck, Kills his grandmother by sitting in a rocker thats on her Oxygen hose, then kills his wife with a shard of glass after breaking a bowl of Jello, then killing the neighbor by running into her and she hits her head, then after all that admits to accidently running over his daughter who still doesn't walk normal, and after all that in his life he ends up waist deep in cement and gets robbed. when they were showing the last part of everything he was confessing to it was like watching a human cartoon animation, that was so cool.

I loved that it had Grissom smirking and catherine laughing like crazy to the point grissom asking her if she needed a moment it was like if they were doing the scene and you are trying not to but can't help laughing makes me wonder if they would have cut that scene except it fit in perfectly. Even after his confession in Grissoms office, its serious but funny, but serious and yet funny.

Aww the little girl, got brass back his ten bucks, "Hi Max" lol and her with warrick "I like you, your like a giant" :) for someone her age she was pretty darn smart, I watched tv, and more tv, and more tv, and more tv and went home lol.

Back to Mini Scene, Loved hodges WhooWhoo and solving the train thing "sorry thought you were a member" lol. I think the video was done to give grissom more clarity, he has been getting tired as catherine pointed out and he pointed out when sara came in with the cell phone results. Watching Grissoms face as Ernie talked in the video it was like he was saying some of the things that grissom was thinking or maybe feeling.

Brass, was back to the brass we know and love, more funny lines even trying to keep a straight face with the guy waist deep in concrete, then making bets with the guy about finding his idenity.
Sofia, didn't really have much in the way of quips she was waffling between cop and csi, giving the you can't take the cop out of the Csi, but you can't take the csi out of the cop.
Nick when walking up the steps to the complex at first looked like he had dark circles under his eyes, but I noticed at first with the ants he had a reaction quick and covered but it was more like a small twitch then it was gone. But it seemed to me he was there more for pointing things out, screen time sure but he seemed to have less to do then sofia. But I can see that since Warrick has had so little screen time lately.
Greg, wow talk about having screen time with little use for the character (no offence to greg fans), it just seems that he had the quiet help except in the chicken factory it was more like he was not speaking literly but rather with figuartively.

All in all I would give this ep a 9/10 like I said for me the Mini scene at first kept me at bay, but then brought me in later.

I agree with you, Destiny. Either Nick is tired or he tried to keep emotion aside. I think he hasn't been sleep for a while or he is not feeling good.

It seems Sara doesn't see how Grissom is reacting. But, Catherine does. Makes you wonder.
Well, Grissom and Catherine have known each other for years and from what we’ve seen previously she always seems to know how he’s feeling. As for Sara, well, given Grissom’s general personality I wouldn’t put it past him to be completely keeping her out of the loop about his feelings and the issues he’s been having over the job as well as his plans to take the sabbatical. Grissom is alot of things but demonstrative isn't one of them.

I noticed that as well, Destiny. Just the music they played and the way he moved, it was subtle but I half-expected a muted trumpet to play at the end (wah wah wah...) :)

And I just want to say that Doc Robbins is allowed to have a bad day. Everyone has a bad day sometimes so if he's in a bad mood, it must be a pretty darn good reason.

I liked the episode overall, even though some parts confused me a bit.
Was it just me, or did anyone else think it was just a bit inappropriate to laugh at that poor guy in the beginning? The guy was waist deep in concrete and they treated him kind of badly (although it turned out he killed two people... accidentally).
But then again, I did end up giggling right along with Catherine as he told his sad tale of unfortunate events.

I so agree, it was such a funny epi, and i laugh at Max, so many times, getting stuck in the cement, and the offering to buy stuff out of the vending machihe, haha, and greg looked great by the way, as always

yeah and then the girl ID's him and brass takes his money back and I think that is very funny and very thing goes wrong in his life I can't believe he hit his daughter with the car

Of course he is, but how many times in the past 7 seasons have we seen Doc act so grumpy? Very few. This season, though, it seems to be cumulative. In one of the first episodes of this season, we saw Doc act all disgusted when Super Dave didn't properly plug up a body when he transported it from the crime scene to the lab. Understandable that Doc would be irritated by that mistake, but it was very odd that Super Dave would make an error like that. Then, in a later episode, we saw Doc almost attack a sleazy tabloid writer who snuck into the lab to take photographs of a body. Not your typical Doc moment. There's a pattern forming here. In this latest episode, Doc got snarky with Super Dave again, and snippy with Catherine. I'm hoping that there is a reason behind all of Doc's outbursts. Maybe we'll find out in a future episode. Maybe his wife left him, or maybe he finds out he has a disease. It could be a number of things, but hopefully we'll see this develop into a plot involving Doc.

I'm not convinced that the model story is over either.\

The doll thing still bothers me. It just felt so anti-climactic.

I mean, they may have the guy for all we know, the EVENTS may be over, but I don't think the STORY itself is done.

Interesting...yet...trippy.

-I was happy to see some Nick/Warrick. I really missed those two working together.
-Seeing those ants and the lime jello...the green lime jello I had a brief connection to Grave Danger...green light..ants. Guess I'd better get some sleep...my mind is making connections.
-Catherine had the fit of the giggles at the scene. I could some what see the humor...but...to giggle? Just a tad confused with her reactions.
-Warrick talking to that little girl was priceless! The expressions he was making and the little girl telling her story was too funny! That was an excellent scene!
-Can anyone have that much bad luck like Max?
-The moment that made me LOL: When Hodges stood beside Grissom and did the train whistle. Priceless!
-Great to see Greg working with Grissom. They seem to work together well.
-The ending knocked my socks off. Wasn't expecting it.

I thought the storyline was really good with Max, but I would have liked to seen it on its own episode, not tied down to the Miniture Killer. It was hard for me to get into because I was concentrating on the MCSK. Therefore I'm a lil upset, because that story had the ability to shine by itself, and I thoguht there should have been more focus on the MCSK.
