Catherine smiled as she woke up. She wished she could wake up next to him for the rest of her life. She nodded and got into the car with him and drove home.
When she walked him up to the door, she figured...this could go one of two ways. He's either going to say, goodnight, see ya at work tomorrow buddy, or he would say it nicely, and maybe even kiss her. She held her breath as he came close to her. She could have sworn that he was going to kiss her, but he didn't. She let out her breath after he had walked away, looking as sad as a puppy as he drove off. She wondered if now that the night was overwith, things would just go back to the way they were, in fact, she was almost sure that they would.
A few hours later, Catherine had taken her shower, straightened her hair, and put on her makeup. She sighed as she looked in the mirror. Today was one of the days when she dressed nicer. She wore a black skirt that ruffled out at the knees, and a white blouse with a black blazer overtop. She wore her stiletto's today, it was one of those days where she felt the paperwork coming on.
