Sara tossed her hair off her shoulder. She was feeling a little depressed. The domestic abuse case she was on was beginning to get to her. The ghosts of her past were catching up with her.

Nick walked in the room and saw somthing bothering Sara. "whats up?" he asked.

Sara jumped a little, having not seen him come in. "It's my case." Before Nick could reply, she heard crying. "You hear that?" she askes.

Nick stood there with coffee in hand. "ya... i do, sounds like... coffee, callig my name!" he said laughing as he poured a cup of coffee.

She laughed, too. "Not what I meant. Someone's crying."

Nick stopped what he was doing and listened closly, "ya, now that you do mention it... i do hear it." he stepped out in the hall. "its comeing from over there" he said as he began walking down the hall.

"Is someone there?" Sara called. "We won't hurt you. We wanna help."

Nick followed Sara, but stood close. "ya, here to help!" he repeated. Then a louder cry came from a room, somewhere near the corner. "over there!" nick wispered pointing to the conrner.
