Oh, I love the Beatles! I think it is soo sweet that they are doing this memorial. And add Cirque de Soleil to the mix! It is going to be wonderful, I promise, even though I can't see it. :D And the title is "LOVE". Soo...Beatlish. Love it.

Soo, stay on the Strip. Hmm, I'll think about it. Or I could do as my parents always do: Stay at a nice, expensive hotel for a day or two and stay the rest of the week at some cheaper place. After all, my parents say: How much time do you spend in a hotel room? :D

A quick question: We HAVE been talking about a car trip through the States in the past, but I'm not sure about where my parents stand right ow. To them everything is "Asia, asia, asia". Not bad, but I feel like I've spent waaay to much time there in the past. And I've only been to the states once, and that was for a week. :(

Back to the question; my littlesister is 6, so gambling is right out. actually, it is out for both me and my other littlebrother (13). But is there some things that might attract a 6-year old? You have some kind of Museum of Natural Science, right? At least according to my USA tourist guide.

I cruised over there to see if I could get in  total pandomonium, crazy.. no parking, and millions of people, [it seemed] can you imagine Paul McCartney :p, I was bummed out, I love him, and wanted to see him and Ringo, & the rest, as well as Larry King too. you have not idea how it is ... when you vivist you'll see! and here's a site for you to see for your little bro. and sis. places for them! click on ATTRACTIONS on the left.. good luck ;)

Thanks! I can imagine the chaos...At least it was some REAL and IMPORTANT celebrities, not like say, Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan.

I browsed the site and found some intresting stuff. Day trips are probably out, since all intresting things seems to be located 2-4 hours from LV. And since we have no idea now, whether we want a car trip or just a regular visit, we assume that we would like to keep us inside the city limits.

Littlebrother is 13 going on 14 so I do not have a clue what he'd like to do. That he has to figure out for himself. :p Thea however is happy with anything (but not car trips ) so I was thinking about The Natural History Museum (she LOVES the one we have in Stockholm) and the Lied Discovery Children's Museum. Plus, a trip to an aquarium would be great. The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay sounds cool, but rather expensive. $15 is like 105 Swedish kronor and the local aquarium in Stockholm only charges 35 kronor for entrance, so I guess that one is out.

The Lion Habitat is a must! Madame Tussaud's would be fun, since I didn't see it when Mom and i was in london last year. Endless lines... Not sure how funny it is for Thea though, seing people she not know anything about. Even if you have a model of ABBA or Björn Borg, she wouldn't get it. :D So I guess that is something for me and my brother but not her.

The Star Trek Experience sounds awsome! But alas, I'm the only one who watches the reruns in my family (My father compliments himself of being such a movie-fantast and he've not seen The original Star Wars yet.), plus it is really expensive. Or maybe I'm cheap.

You'll figure it out, and don't forget the WET..WILD.. AND CRAZY water park, your brother might like this ;)

A tickled-pink Pamela Anderson celebrated her 40th birthday Las Vegas style..amid wall-to-qwall pink flowers, a sparkler-topped pink cake and enough champagne to float a small boat! The party started as soon as illusionist Hans Klok finished their second performance of "The Beauty of Magic" Saturday at Planet Hollywood Resort. Klok presented Anderson, who joinde his show last month as his assistant in his magic show with a rare book by Houdini, the greatest magician of all! More than a 100 friends, including her parents, and her ex, Tommy Lee attended the private party [damn, I wasn't invited, again] in the Mezanine "Living Room" part of the nightclub. The owner Robert Earl, surprised Lee by filling her room with dozens of pink roses. Earlier, her two sons saw her magic, and were blown away, "they loved it" Pamela said, they saw the show for the first time, think they have the coolest mom of all time"

I noticed from the movie that The Stratosphere were not located that near The Strip, but maybe that's a good thing for me. I'm very sound-sensitive. :D And I live on Stockholms most trafficated street. But then again, my room is facing our backyard.

Soo, in your opinion, is it better to stay at some place at the Strip or somewhat near it?

I was just in Vegas last week and stayed for five days. We stayed at the Imperial Palace, which is right in the middle of the strip and very reasonably priced. It was great being in the middle because one day we left the hotel and walked to the north and did all of that area. The next day we left the hotel and went to the south and saw all of those sights. One day was also spent going out to Hoover Dam, and another day over to the Fremont area. The final day we used for finishing up whatever we hadn't gotten to yet. I've got some pics at my place. And definitely don't forget to go up in the Eifel Tower at night for a view of the sights.

Great pictures kaylyne, thanks for sharing them. :)

I'm going to Las Vegas in two weeks time, I'm very excited about it. I was planning to go up the Eiffel Tower because of the views, and I'll definately do that after seeing your pictures. :D
