You mentioned something about Spamalot above? Is it still on stadge?
It's not been open long, so I would imagine it will still be playing for a while. ;) My husband and I are going to Las Vegas for a couple of days in July and have tickets for Spamalot, the husband totally loves Monty Python, and I've heard the show's really funny.

I know, that's why I want to see it. ;) Delirium is comming to Stockholm this summer (I think) but I can relate to 'KÁ'!

The show rocks! You and your husband will love it! I saw it in late February/ early March around the time when the whole Anna Nicole Smith Traversty happened and Britney had just shaved of her hair. What is great about the show when I saw it is that they used several current celebrity news.

A question to you, desert ! There are thousands of hotels located on the Strip, right? Like Treasure Island and Camelot. Which one is the cheapest hotel and the most expensive?

Darn it! Well, I was right about Treasure Island though. :p Thank you very much for the links. I am currently checking them out while writing this post. ;) (OT: Reading a review about TI. Con: No coffee pot in the room! They do have a coffe shop though it says. Maybe they are trying to conquer Starbucks in the neverending battle for dominance of the world. :D)

Well, I know that a lot of CSI convents or alike is held in Vegas plus I really want to go to the US again, so maybe if I can find some cheap deal I'll talk it through wth my parents. Fortnately, they love to travel and I don't think anyone has been to Vegas before (yet), so it is not impossible. Not since we are currently talking about taking a road trip around the States next summer. That or it is the Philipines.

I'd really love to stay at some fancy hotel if I ever go there, but I do not want to put me in bankrupcy while being there. :p

TI looks fun. Caesars Palace for extra Friends points (remember Joey in that ridiculous costume?). Bellagio. Hilton...no, I'm too tired of paris Hilton at the moment. Any hotel with connections to CSI?

Edited to say: Excalibur was the name! Gah!

You probably meant Excalibur (the castle shaped hotel). One of my colleagues is going to Vegas later this year and calls it 'Camelot' too. ;)

I have done lots of research into Vegas hotels (in another life I would like to be a travel agent, lol). So, the cheapest hotels on the strip are probably Stratosphere, Circus Circus, Excalibur and Luxor (although, lots of them have really cheap deals so it's hard to tell, and what's cheap to one person isn't to another). The most expensive are Bellagio, Wynn and Venetian.

Most hotels don't seem to have coffee and tea facilities in the room, another way to get you out of the room and spending money in the casino. ;)

I mix them up all the time, and I am a great fan of Arthurian Stories. Ah, well. ;)

Yes I noticed that the Stratosphere looked rather cheap on the above links desert posted. And to me it has connections to CSI through a fanfiction (where the resturant on top seemed awful ). Plus it features a lot on every opening with the Vegas skyline and all that.

Problem is: I'm rather afraid of heights (and flying as well but I still do it). But I'm sure I'll survive. I do not actually spend that much time on my hotel room.

Treasure Island is said to be the cheapest of the expensive hotels. And it has KÁ with CSI connections :D. And there is always that New York Themed Hotel which I don't know the actual name of. It has roller coasters! :D *squeee*

No tea or coffee on the room. I'll have to wake (possibly) my mother up, every night I wake up and need tea or coffee. Cause I'm only 15, can't let me roam the streets of Vegas in search for a Starbucks in the early morning. Worked in New York though. I went for breakfast alone one morning, without my family, just across the street and got back before they woke up. Of course, they repaid me for that by leaving me (forgetting) on top of the Empire States Building.

Most hotels DO have coffee, in fact I don't know of any who don't  and The Luxor is very expensive, and amonst the high end rollers, the most pricey are The MGM Grand..The Venetian..The Bellagio..Paris.. Caesars Palace.. Wynn Las Vegas, The Mirage the locals love The Palms, a younger crowd and, the CSI's have filmed there, Billy Petersen has been seen dining at The Bellagio, A tip, try the STATION CASINOS.. Palace Station. It's off the 1-15 and Sahara, and has a killer buffet called THE FEAST, delicious and like $8.99 also The Rio, The Gold Coast..Arizona Charlies and Sams Town.. the locals hang at these places.. ;) Circus Circus and The Excalibur have kids running around everywhere, keep that in mind too!

If I'll ever go to Vegas, my little sister would probably join, so kids are not a problem for me. :) She'd love Vegas I'm sure. And she is only 6.

I'll keep The Palms in mind. Sahara sounds nice too. :) Now, I just have to convince my parents to drop Asia for next summer and go to the States.

*shrugs* I'm talking about the standard guest rooms and everything I've read suggests that very few strip hotels provide in room tea and coffee facilities. But no one goes to Las Vegas to sit in their rooms drinking coffee anyway, so I don't think it's a big deal. ;)

As for the Luxor, as I said, price is a matter of perspective really, and I don't consider rooms costing $70 a night to be particularly expensive. But then, the exchange rate is particularly favourable to us Brits at the moment. ;)

^ It really is, isn't it the best exchange rate it's ever been or something? (Well in favour of us UKer) I heard about it a while ago. Don't know if it's changed since.

HMMM, interesting, as far as I know the LUXOR is like $125-$200 a night and that's a weeknight , but check it out yourself ;)the coffee thing is a luxury, so when ones getting ready in the morning, you can plug in the coffee or tea, and have it while your dressing ready to go out!

NEWS

Superfan Ramona Almirez is dreading Celine Dion's depature. For fou-plus years Almirez has been flying from San Jose, CA. to Las Vegas almost every other weekend to see Dion peform "A New Day".... at Caesars Palace. "It's my passion" she said. It's also a big chunk of her retirement nest egg. The Colosseum going for $225 each. Add airfare, tickets for friends, food and the home she bought in Lake Las Vegas, not far from Dion's, and the cost of pursuing her passion is steep. "Lets not talk about that", said Almirez, a Johnson & Johnson executive. She surpassed 100 shows during a visit a week ago. "I'll be in a severe depression when she leaves" [oh, get over it] in Dec. Almirez plans to continue following Dion to her concerts when she heads out on a one-year tour. She's already got tickets to Dion's May 24-25 concert in Paris next year. Dion welcomed Almirez backstage for champagne and cake to mark the 100th show! [all it takes is money] :(

CAESARS PALACE

I got back from our summer house yesterday, and my father decided, that instead of going home at once and unpack, we'd go to the movies instead. Unfortantely, we were too late for Pirates , but we watched Ocean's Thirteen instead.

desert , you live in the most fabulous town that ever existed. :D Lovely movie BTW.

I noticed from the movie that The Stratosphere were not located that near The Strip, but maybe that's a good thing for me. I'm very sound-sensitive. :D And I live on Stockholms most trafficated street. But then again, my room is facing our backyard.

Soo, in your opinion, is it better to stay at some place at the Strip or somewhat near it?
