That's happened to me so many times. :( My mother loves making me think that we're moving about 10 times a year, and then telling me that she changed her mind. Grr...:mad:

We were supposed to move last year (right down the street from Kiefer Sutherland's summer home. lol) but then we decided to stay. So everything got jumbled around. :/


I know how it feels! Very frustrating. :rolleyes:

Question -- is there a way I can send cards? My Mom would probably kill me if I gave out my address on a forum. :lol:

I would really like to give ya'll cards tho. :)
 
Yeh I was thinking that^^^ If some people can not send cards via mail/post like if you are moving eg maybe we could send cards via email?!? People could even create them on photoshop or something- just a suggestion! :)

I would really LOVE to give you the addresses, but it's just a rule I have, more of a privacy issue actually, that I'm not giving out a list to anyone who doesn't give up an address to have cards sent to them. Maybe have people who are comfortable PMing you their address for you to send cards? But I just can't go against what I've already said about who gets the list. Sorry. :(

If you guys want to do an email card swap between yourselves, by all means, please do! I know some of you are a little phobic about giving your addresses out or your parents will sacrifice you if cards with your name on them start appearing in your mailboxes with addresses from all over. I personally don't have anyone's email address though, so I can't help with that part. :(

Actually, even though I've already sent in my address a few weeks ago, I've been thinking about the cards that I'll be sending out, but not about the cards that will be coming in. It's just starting to sink in now. :lol:

My parents don't know about this card swap thing, they don't really care about what I do on the Internet. They trust me to make the right decisions. ;)

I guess I'll have to check the mailbox every day in the coming weeks leading up to Christmas then. Intercept all my cards, so that my parents don't see them. Hehehe. :p
 
Heh, in my place it will be my flatmate looking at me askance! Fortunately I'm usually the first one home to check the post, so I should be able to filter them out a bit, lol!
 
I've decided to participate despite the fact that I am moving house on December 17th. My mail will be forwarded from that date so hopefully there won't be any problems.

I'm looking forward to sending out some holiday greetings to my fellow NY fans. But I doubt I'll send any porny cards, sorry to disappoint, I've found some pretty cards that I'd prefer to send. And as some of you are already concerned about your parent's response to lots of cards turning up, I'm saving you from explaining why people you don't know are sending you porn... :lol:
 
Ok after a lot of umming and arring I have decided to particpate- yeh I know im last minute but thats how I do things :lol:!!!

It would be just my luck now if the the postal service went on strike for december!! :lol:
 
WOOOOOOOOOOT today is the day! I'm so excited to get the list, I'm going to start my cards tomorrow, seeing as I have work until ten tonight :(. But I'm really excited to get started! Oh..I need stamps too, I guess I should go get those tomorrow after school haha. I'm not sending out porny cards either, but I hope to get some!! My cards are actually kinda cute :)
 
I have no chance of intercepting the mail, I'm in my placement all day, and my mom does not trust the internet at all. We'll see how it goes. I got my cards yesterday, I feel bad that I won't be able to personalize them, I still don't know anyone that well.
 
Ok, I guess I'm participating (having been guilted into it *glares at y'all* :p). I'll be sending my address to boom shortly, so unless I procrastinated a little too much, I'm in. ;)

I haven't bought any cards yet, but I need to go out and pick some up.

And snowbird, I wouldn't worry about not being able to personalize the cards--I know a lot of mine will say 'Happy Holidays!' or something else equally unique in them. :lol:
