It's Called Cancer - LV/NY RP II

Re: It's Called Cancer

"Don't worry.. A cousin of mine, she had a baby recently and while she was out visiting she told me that doctors had said a little bit of wine was okay once a while, as long as you don't overdo it. You're in the clear," Flack smiled to her. "Do you still want something else?" he asked, standing.

Re: It's Called Cancer

Jess shrugged. "I just won't drink the whole glass." she said as she took a sip again and swallowed this time. "This will probably be the only time though, I want a healthy baby, and I'll do everything in my power to protect it."
---(I had missed Mel's post)
Stella nodded and smiled. "That we can do." she told him. "Althought I think I would make a great supervisor, maybe even better than you Mac." she joked.

Re: It's Called Cancer

Flack smiled to Jess before sitting back down again. "A'right. When you want something else, just tell me, okay?" he said to her with a smile. Flack soon picked up his own glass and had a sip.

Re: It's Called Cancer

Jess smiled and nodded. "Thanks Flack, you treat me so well." she told him with a grin as she took another bite of her chicken parm. "I guess I should call my mom with the good news tomorrow." she said.

Re: It's Called Cancer

"She'll wonder who I am though. I mean.. you all of a sudden up and out of the blue move to New York and get pregnant? She'll be suspicious," Flack laughed softly, going back to his dinner as well.

Re: It's Called Cancer

Jess shrugged. "I haven't talked to her in years, she doesn't know what I have been up to. When I tell her I've been seeing you for a while, I don't think she'll mind much."

Re: It's Called Cancer

Flack chuckled a bit before nodding. "Okay.." he said quietly before thinking back a bit. "Wonder what my mom and dad'll say. I haven't spoken with them in a bit."

Re: It's Called Cancer

Jess nodded. "Do they live around here?" she asked. "I want to meet them, if they're as sweet as you, I'll love them." she said with a smile as she took another sip of her wine.

Re: It's Called Cancer

Flack thought for a moment. "Upper east side," he finally replied. "My old man.. he's concidered a NYPD legend. They have their expectations."

Re: It's Called Cancer

Jess' smile faded. "Do you think that they'll like me?" she asked as she finished off her chicken parm.

Re: It's Called Cancer

"I think they will. You have a good reputation to boot, and if they disapprove... Well, they can go off to Europe for all I care," Flack replied with a smirk, finishing up his dinner as well.

Re: It's Called Cancer

Jess smiled and took both of their plates into the sink. She went back to the table and took a single rose out of the vase and smelled it. "I love roses." she told him. "They're so beautiful." she said before walking out to the balcony, taking the rose with her.

Re: It's Called Cancer

"Thank you," Flack smiled to her when she took the plates. When she came and got the rose and went outside onto the balcony, Flack stood and followed her out, gently wrapping his arms around her from behind and hugging her back to him. "Just like you.." he whispered to her.

Re: It's Called Cancer

Jess smiled and closed her eyes. She loved it when he did that. She turned to him and held the rose slightly in front of her, smelling it once again before looking up at him again. "A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet." she said with a smile. "Will you be my Romeo?" she asked wtih a grin.

Re: It's Called Cancer

Flack grinned a bit. "I may not know Shakespeare, but I know one thing.." he said, gently tilting her back as he supported her. "I will gladly be yours any day, any time, any where," Flack finished leaning in to kiss her softly.
