Re: Horatio & Yelina #4 ~'The Romantic Real Deal'~

Alright people, here we go. - I'll stick with the H/Y scenes, and since I only got a few things down transcript-wise, bear with me. I'll try to describe most of it.

(One thing that made me chuckle though, was before the opening credits, they played the part of Won't Get Fooled Again on the show, right before the opening credits, and it blended into the theme song. :D )

Okay, the episode comes back from commercial, and Eric, and H are discussing how Riaz was released from custoday. They're discussing how to find someone who knows Riaz, or dealt with him and Horatio says:

"I know someone who does."

So the H/Y scenes start off very quickly in the episode. We see an overlay of the house she's living in, and it's a beautiful Brazilian-style home, lots of greenery around.

Yelina stands inside her house, putting rose-coloured flowersd into a vase. She's wearing a white dress, and her hair is worn long- as usual. She looks up suddenly, and then to the side. Horatio is seen outside her very large windows. Yelina walks away from the flower vase, to Horatio's position in a 'court-yard' type of location.

She smirks as she meets him, Horatio stares at her. Yelina says "We heard about your wife, I'm very sorry." By this time, Horatio gets down to business. He says "I think you know why I'm here." They get into a discussion about how Raymond (sr) knows about Riaz. They've known for some time. In regards to Raymond, Yelina has almost a saddened tone toward him. She says "A Leopard doesn't change it's spots." - Meaning she knows what Raymond was into, for the past few seasons. This leads me to believe she found out about the things Raymond did back in Miami.

Horatio says "Can we go inside?"

Yelina expresses her fear regarding Raymond, as he only collects payments on the drugs. - As far as she knows, and the audience as well. There are no indications that he's buying the drugs, only that he collects payments for them.

Yelina suddenly seems hostile toward Raymond, while discussing his situation with Horatio, and says, "The only person Ray Caine cares about is Ray Caine." Ray Jr. suddenly appears, to defend his father. Horatio sends him on his way very quickly. Yelina fears, Ray Jr. will turn out like Raymond.

To find Raymond's location, Yelina offers a very important piece of evidence to Horatio, which is a small bit of vegetation on the bottom of one of the shoes at their house. Horatio calls the lab in Miami, in which case, Calleigh answers the phone. (I am extremely happy to report, that she's lightened up quite a bit, and her demeanor is cheerful, and light-hearted. - She also sports the curly and bouncy hair, light makeup.)

It turns out the vegetation leads them to what appears to be an abandonned hut/house, where Eric and Horatio find Raymond tied upside down with many injuries. Horatio lays Raymond on the ground, he's still alive.

Raymond refers to Horatio as "My big brother". Raymond says "I just wanted to help my family." Horatio responds with "I'm going to take care of the boy." After a few seconds, Raymond dies. Horatio says again, "I'm going to take care of him." He never mentions Yelina. Horatio stands, looks down at his dead brother, and says "I love you." Before walking out of the house.

Later on, Horatio walks over to Yelina's house. She is sitting at a table, her hands cupped near her mouth. She has already heard the news, and her expression is one of sorrow, but no tears. Horatio tells Yelina he is making arrangements for Raymond's body. Yelina says, "Thank you. Somehow I knew it would end like this." At this time, Ray Jr. has dissapeared. Yelina and Horatio realize this, and Yelina tries to track down Ray Jr. via GPS that she had installed in his watch- Yelina explains for if cases like these were to happen.

Later on, Yelina asks if Horatio has found him. Horatio tells Yelina how Ray Jr. is involved in drug smuggling to parts of Brazil and Miami. Yelina doesn't look the least bit surprised, but she stands there stunned that her boy could have turned out like this, or that he is doing this.

Eric and Horatio meet up with Riaz, where a brawl ensues on a helicopter pad. Horatio and Riaz get into armed conflic with knives, where Horatio stabs Riaz. He dies. After a short period of time, Eric and Horatio discuss how Ray Jr. will be in Miami. Eric says "We're going home?" Horatio repeats, saying, "We're goin' home." (A nice contrast from the finale cliffhanger, in which Horatio stated "We're goin' to Brazil")

After some time in the episode, Yelina (who has returned to Miami) stands at the back of the Crime Lab. (The same set of steps, where the last scenes of Wannabe were filmed) She is still wearing her white dress. - Just thought I'd mention that. She gets a call from Ray Jr. They have a short conversation, in which Ray is determined to find his father. Yelina tries to explain that Raymond is dead, but Ray Jr. doesn't want to hear it. He hangs up and trashes the phone so the call can't be traced.

Horatio and Yelina meet up at the front of the building, in which Yelina explains the phone conversation she had with Ray Jr. Horatio says "We'll talk later" and leaves to find Ray. - In the episode, they find out Ray is back in Miami. He has confronted another man from Brazil, who came there with Ray and the drug smuggling kids. Ray has a gun pulled on the man.

Ray is about to pull the trigger, (A gun from which he aquired somewhere) as the man is egging him on to shoot him. Horatio shows up, gun in hand as well. Ray wants to speak to his father, and demands it many times. Horatio tells Ray that his father is gone, that he's dead. Ray wants to shoot the man, but Horatio convinces him to lower the gun. The man lowers his weapon as well, but suddenly raises it to shoot. He shoots, and then Horatio shoots, killing him instantly. Ray is not hit.

Horatio begins to refer to Ray as 'Son' many times throughout this scene, and the continuing scenes. All three of them reuinite at the front of the lab, in which Ray gets into a cab. Yelina stays with Horatio for a while, a comfortable silence between the two. She explains how there is a Brazilian term which means "Sadness we feel for happy memories." Horatio explains how Raymond's body will be transported from Brazil. After a moment, Yelina turns, and gets into the cab. She, and Ray Jr. drive off. :)

So that's what happened in a nutshell, I apologize that I didn't get the exact transcripts.

And I have to say on a final note, that I did enjoy a lot of the episode. I am especially pleased about how some of the characters lightened their mood. There were of course, some cons about the episode, but everyone has their opinion, so I won't let mine influence your opinions on the episode once y'all get a chance to see it. :)

Oh and also, to answer your question Leannethemouse, there was no embrace between them. - As for wrigglyness, there didn't appear to be any on Horatio's part. He was all about business this evening. I did catch a little smirk at the end from him near the end of the episode, along with Yelina as well. ;)

Re: Horatio & Yelina #4 ~'The Romantic Real Deal'~

Thank you very much Geni. Most appreciated. :) I'm afraid that real life beckons for me, but I will be back later.

I need to let all this sink in. The best part so far is that Yelina is back in Miami. What the writers will do now goodness only knows, but my overall impression is slight disappointment. I need to think about all this though and I've only just got up! Brain not in gear just yet.

u guys are welcome re the pics. yes Sofia look great in this epi and this white dress :D but DC is get more and more old. ehhh honеstly i still don`t know did i like this epi or not...but for now i keep a lot negative opinion . supposition i was expect somthing more good and strong for H and Y relationship. (hell why not after so long waiting). no kiss, hug or holding hands scene :( no H/Y moments for me. u have to see it and make ur own opinion . at last this Ray Jn. is a lot ridiculous boy and character  as like Tall have say long time ago this Caine family are like The incredible tv parody :(

Re: Horatio & Yelina #4 ~'The Romantic Real Deal'~

Thanks so much for the pics Pusher. :)

Going by what I know so far, I am disappointed yet again. Promo pics are not always footage from a show, I know that, but why get our hopes up this way by publishing pics that lead us to believe something? That is just a very, very mean thing to do. They could have just released pics of them together. Playing with us this way is something Ann D has down to a fine art it seems. Grrrr. Not impressed. At all.

On a lighter note, the plus point is that Yelina is back in Miami. The writers can bring her back in at any time, but I seriously don't trust them to do H/Y or the show justice at this point.

H is still singing the 'family' tune too. That is so, so old now. How many times have we heard that? Is he still in denial mode or is this the writers not so subtle way of closing the door on H/Y? I suppose if Ann D still intends to get 'years' out of this storyarc, we are going to move backwards again before moving forwards. Seems to be her way of doing things. I know my patience is wearing thin, especially as Yelina was absent for an entire season.

As usual, I am probably guilty of expecting too much. I should have learned by now!

On the other hand, I could be totally misinterpreting things. I really need to see the episode and wait a few weeks to see what future plans they might have.

Re: Horatio & Yelina #4 ~'The Romantic Real Deal'~

Luce in ur post have a lot truth. even we all have say that we are mild optimist, for me this epi is like hit with hammer over my poor and stupid head. won`t say that Ann D. hold this weapon. yeah sometime the pan can take mortal way, even that long time ago have make/create so beautiful H/Y relationship. uh....it`s not fair why ohh why they do this to us :( the things is screws up again and damn it if all can be fix....this S4 is like opposite turn on the road and S5 is the declivity after this with no brake...

Mod`s feel free to edit my post if is too offended or against the rules.

Re: Horatio & Yelina #4 ~'The Romantic Real Deal'~

i'm pretty much disappointed they let ray look like an asshole (sorry for that word) but it so is true. i just can't believe they let him look like that whereas he swore H he'd do better.

The last pic

http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e119/mulderoo/HY/S05/S50116.jpg

that one, just shows yelina's somehow thinking "now that you're back ... I know we're safe..."

I'm sooo disappointed about Ray... I really am...I wanted to have him look more like ... something else than ... that...
because now it's Yelina who has to live with it, that Ray was maybe lying to her... and maybe they even fought in a way before he left and she couldn't say goodbye.

And I swear next epi... H will have forgotten Ray died.

Gosh, I wouldn't be able speaking if my lil sister died... for in a year...

*hmpf*

but I'll wait untill I'll get the tape next week, before I can say better.

Re: Horatio & Yelina #4 ~'The Romantic Real Deal'~

And I swear next epi... H will have forgotten Ray died.

i`m with u. so rush moment was Ray Sn. dead. i laugh a lot when H stands, looks down at his dead brother, and says "I love you." and jump off the room as quickly as hi can  as Gani say more early - She (Y) has already heard the news, and her expression is one of sorrow, but no tears. - as like H have show sorrow or tears

Re: Horatio & Yelina #4 ~'The Romantic Real Deal'~

Squeeeeeeeeeeee!

I'msorry but I'm excited. How wonderfulto have Y back!

*jumps in the room*

I post something smart later on :p

Re: Horatio & Yelina #4 ~'The Romantic Real Deal'~

YAY! Ducky is back in our little humble H/Y abode. :D

And even though I agree with Lucy about most of the things mentioned, I still have to remain on the optimistic side. (It seems I'm one of the few people on that side right now) You'd really have to see the episode to take in everything. Granted, if you were expecting a lot more from this episode, you'd be dissapointed. My initial observation was that there was almost nothing H/Y-wise. Horatio was all business, and Yelina didn't crack a smile the entire episode. (Except for a few smirks here and there)

That being said, I wasn't completely dissapointed. I'm not really sure how to explain it, but given the circumstances and the events in the episode, there would have left little room for H/Y moments anyway. However, it appears the writers wanted to hold off on the sweet and romantic, gushy scenes in this episode. The action pretty much took over any possibility for that to happen.

I do have to agree that Horatio's everlasting concept of 'family' has gotten me a little irked. It's clear this isn't exactly about 'family' anymore. Perhaps the writers have slowed down the arc, because of Marisol. (This would be the very first time they didn't rush into something btw) And perhaps it's because Horatio promised to take care of Ray Jr. and not Yelina. (That still leaves the question of why)

(And I wasn't at all pleased with the brawl on the helicopter pad. )

Although, still I'm trying to find sense in this show, and I haven't learned my lesson yet. Oh well, there's still a whole 20-some episodes left for TPTB to give us something tangible that we can hold onto. ;)

Re: Horatio & Yelina #4 ~'The Romantic Real Deal'~

maybe H really decided not let her go again... when they're both done grieving... (or griefing???) they'd make a new start or sth.

I would have liked to see more Yelina/Ray stuff. I can't understand why she didn't cry. I just can't understand that.

For the simple reason that Raymond died a long time ago for both Yelina and Horatio; their grief is much too deep seated for mere tears to assuage.
