Re: Horatio/Yelina #8: Waiting A Lifetime For A Moment Like

Don't people ever get tired of his sucky life?
Yes, very much so. People are always complaining about it on the Miami Forum when they review episodes etc. I for one have grown very tired of it.

From what I know, CSI:NY is more of an ensemble piece too. It is a much better show than Miami these days, in terms of writing and substance.

I'm sure H/Y existed...didn't it? *looks at signature* Yes, thank goodness, but we need Ildy to influence things - and fast! Not much hope of that in the near future.

*bends time to travel to Season 10*

I'm beginning to question my own memory - did H/Y really exist ... ?

Same question here too. I already start to forgot what is the feeling to see some H/Y development. Whole season Yelina was away in Brazil and after this we have only 2 epis, where this H evil twin still walk around. TGTB pls refresh my memory why I love to see Horatio and Yelina chemistry, tension & unresolved love, that gets me long time ago. I so much want again to wait with impatient for the next step from theirs 'dance' (like S 1-3) ....

*raises hand*

Without question, yes! As Swanny said, it is very evident from past posts in the Miami Forum that people are more than fed up with it.

It's such a shame that the writers can't seem to think of a way to get Yelina more involved in the show. We're now going to have to look to the latter half of Season 6 for further development, or so it would seem. Even that is wishful thinking at this stage.

Re: Horatio/Yelina #8: Waiting A Lifetime For A Moment Like

did H/Y really exist, or is it a delusion projected by my poor depressed brain?
They did exist. Go on youtube if you need a refresher. ;)

Sadly the show is Horatio-centric that's how it has always been, and sadly Y has and always only been written in to be his love-interest. And until tptb decide to get them together or Y becomes a regular again, I'm afraid I think she's always going to be on the periphery.

Well, get me past the holidays (I hate December anyway), and on to the second part of the season!

I'm still on dial-up on our son's computer (can you believe our household goods STILL haven't come?), so youtube is too hard right now, but I hope satelite service is in our future! At any rate, I've been watching good H/Y epis on A & E while having lunch every weekday, and that's been great.

Yesterday I saw "An Affair to Remember" with Cary Grant and Debra Kerr. There was a scene that would be a perfect H/Y scene: we saw their legs coming down the stairs, then a pause, and the man's legs stepped back up to where the woman was standing. You just knew they were kissing, even tho' you only saw their legs and her hand trembling on the railing!

Re: Horatio/Yelina #8: Waiting A Lifetime For A Moment Like

You're right, drgnldy, that would be a perfect scene for them! That is an amazing movie. You know, the more I 'don't' read about Yelina in future episodes, the more discouraged I become. Can't think that there is much opportunity for character/relationship development if she is never in the show. Just a couple of questions: delkolover(sp) gives great 'spoilage' but I'm somewhat new to the board so I'm curious where the info comes from? (Not a challenge, delkolover, just feel like I missed out on some important history here.) Also, delkolover is always very up-front about not guaranteeing the accuracy of the spoilers, but the ones I have seen recently really don't offer much hope that Yelina will appear again anytime soon after the premier...is there any chance that we could be pleasantly surprised? Is there any chance that there could be a surprise 'moment like this' in the premier that we don't know about yet?
One last question for everyone: If you could see David Caruso and Sofia Milos do a movie/love story that had nothing to do with CSI Miami, would you want to see it and what would be a movie that you would put them in? I think I would have to pick "An Affair to Remember" or another one that hits a little closer to t.v./CSI Miamiland and Brotherly love home " Sabrina", although they're not really age-appropriate for the last choice. JMHO

Re: Horatio/Yelina #8: Waiting A Lifetime For A Moment Like

Okay "An Affair to Remember", going to watch that one right now :D

If I could put DC/SM in any movie I wanted I'd put them in "What woman want". I'd want to see DC struggle with an estranged teenage daughter. What woman want is one of my favourite movies, it never bores and the chemistry between Mel Gibson & Helen Hunt was smoking. And it was just a sweet story. And lets not forget the make out scene in the bar!

From the description drgnldy gave, it sounds like a sweet scene for H/Y. But I'd only want it after we've been smothered in H/Y make out scenes else I'd smack the tv of it's stand because I'd want to see it :D

I'm afraid we aren't allowed to reveal the source of these spoilers due to the risk of possible copyright infringement. Also, CSI Files uses the same source for it's spoilers.

To answer your other question, I would love to see DC and SM in a movie. They have such an amazing natural chemistry. :)

First nice to see u again silk. :D Second to me just come this two movies that I like a lot and think that can be good for ours fav actors - Osadeni dushi and Beyond Borders ;)

Btw drgnldy I too like the "An Affair to Remember' scene that u mention. :)

Re: Horatio/Yelina #8: Waiting A Lifetime For A Moment Like

I kind of agree with you Kit, in that I would like a little more agressive action between the two of them. While I appreciate those sweet, romantic 'eye-sex' moments - and they are in fact what first made me fall for H/Y - I would like to see something hot, too. Scenes that hold promise for the future are SOOOO romantic, but sooner or later I would like to see that future get here! Besides, sometimes those sweet moments just peter out to nothing, and the future never arrives.

"An Affair to Remember" was remade sometime in the 90s with Warren Beatty and Annette Benning, but I promise you that the original is the best!

I'm not sure about DC in a movie with much romance. . .wonder whether that's in his range actually. Light and whimsical he ain't. I've never seen him do anything beyond action stuff. In such a movie, they'd probably one or both die. Yuck. . .

Re: Horatio/Yelina #8: Waiting A Lifetime For A Moment Like

I thought that DC pulled off the romantic side to his John Kelly character in NYPD Blue very well. I think his acting range is actually quite impressive, but we have got so bogged down with the Horatio drama. Miami these days is definitely not stretching him as an actor unfortunately.

silk, good to see you again. :)

I agree there Luce. Maybe they're trying to stretch his acting with the new season and new storyline.

I don't watch many love stories, the movies I watch are usualy action flicks but it's really hard to chose one, I think I'd have to go with "The Lake House". It stared Keanu Reeeves and Sandra Bullock. Although the two leads don't meet till the end of the movie, it was so romantic and I loved the ending. They just fall in love writting letters to each other, the notion is really romantic. I think any movie with DC and SM as lovers would be great cos the chemistry would be like amazing.

Re: Horatio/Yelina #8: Waiting A Lifetime For A Moment Like

Welcome back Loony! How was it? Great picture by the way!

In the S6 spoiler thread there are links to clips from S6, there's one that has a small moment between Horatio & Yelina :D

Great to have u back Luna. :D Hope ur vacation go very well and it was big fun.

Sad, but truth. Sometimes I think that if DC didn`t stop do movies till play in Miami things will be a lot different. He will play/act and when come back to be Horatio again will ask more for his charatcer. Or at last will see new peoples apart from TGTB and won`t make so out of the blue suggestion like Aerosol one. agrr
