I agree BlueCurl. I think H needs the influence of his real family, as well as his CSI 'family'. To me, it is no coincidence that his character has been out of sorts since the beginning of Season 4.
The writers have somehow lost touch with the real H - the one I admired enormously in the first 3 seasons. Back then, he was more human, vulnerable, compassionate, and yet still so determined and heroic. He is currently so lacklustre and just seems to go through the motions each week. The only time he has seemed like himself recently (to me anyway) was when he was comforting Natalia at the end of 'Internal Affairs'. We need to see more scenes like that, where his character is really given a chance to shine again.
