Grissom & Sara #31 : Yes. Let's Do It.

Do they count next weeks episode as two episodes?
Seriously Sara should have been in Ronnie's part, Since she is leaving at least half of the epsode should be about her. that video made me cry. I don't want her to leave, I really don't.
 
OK from what I've heard, not sure how accurate these things are... but the episode following Sara's departure will really focus on Grissom and the rest of the team dealing with this, quizzing him over where she's gone and when/if she'll be back and we'll find out more about what brought this decision on, there is also rumor going around that there will be a phonecall between Sara and Grissom at some point within the next few eps following her departure... but apart from that I don't know what the call will be about, who will phone who, where or why... but that's what's on the rumor mill at the moment. there also seems to be the consensus that Sara will make her first guest appearance since leaving sometime in the early 8x20's, again the details I don't know, but it's also going around that she will also be in the finale. Again I am not 100% on this but there is also rumor going about that Sara will be returning to the lab and that Grissom will make reference to her being back home and being a lot better (quite when this is supposed to happen I don't know), we just wont see her. I really wish I had something a little more concrete - there is so much flying about at the moment I really don't know what's true spoiler and what's just been generated on the rumor mill - but that's what's going about at the mo!

The phone call might explain why Jorja worked the week after she was supposed to be done. I wonder if the rabid fangirls forced this concession? I hope to hell they dont drop Sara like a hot potato. I'd like to see Jorja return for a few episodes at least (if the writers don't strike for too long).
 
They call it a "very Special Episode" because it's a crossover with Without a Trace. Which means that Grissom is going to be so wrapped up in Mr. FBI Malone that he's not going to pay one lick of attention to Sara. Bleh. Perhaps he'll introduce her as his wife? [/dreamer] I AM looking forward to this epidsode though - I've been crying for a crossover since WaT started. lol. I just wish it didn't come on the eve of THE WORST EPISODE EVER! Gah.

Chick Flick Chop Shop? Chick Flip Hot Spot? Bleh. I didn't like the title and I didn't like the episode. I did like Hodge's 'perfect' line - but that's for another thread. Other then that... just bleh.

I agree, Sara's upcoming departure arc does seem to have been somewhat neglected, I just kinda feel they suddenly though "oh c**p, she's leaving in 2 episodes, this is going to come so out of the blue that the fans are going to go mad, we better add a scene in here or there to show she's not 100% anymore" - I mean we're not asking for much, but I do feel this could have been executed so much better than it has been, it does almost feel as if they didn't know about Jorja leaving and they've had to throw things together last minute - but they've known since before they even started writing season 8 that she wasn't going to be in it for the whole thing... I just feel so disappointed and so let down by TPTB, this could have been so much better... I really feel as if they have let both Jorja and Sara down with this shoddy excuse for an arc!

and totally related to nothing, just watching a re-run of "monster in the box" (7x16) and the date on the newspaper of the murder-to-be is mine and DH's wedding anniversary! lol well it tickled me anyway... :p (and yes, I didn't notice before now - shush.. don't tell DH I didn't realise the significance of the date!)
 
just wanted to say i loved last week's ep even though there was very little Grissom or Sara. somehow i think, if all future episodes are going to be the same enojoyable, i will survive without GSR. i won't be as excited about the show anymore though. i think i'll get over it and just wait for sara to come back :)
 
Hey, BabyBunting nice spoiler info. where did you get all these spicy 'rumors'? sounds tantalizing, remember that CM said she would return, and it's cool, that not one of us here on this thread liked "CHOP SHOP" it was a real chop job for sure :mad: episode, we're all on the same page on this ep. and silly and sloppy, so beneath the great writing staffs abilities.. what were you all thinking :(

Even my sisters, that don't really care about GSR scenes and my friend, who doesn't really care about GSR or that Sara's leaving didn't like it. We all pretty much thought it was a load of crap. So Adzix, it looks like you're alone in loving it.

Well... those are good spoilers. Before, when we first got the bad news, I was going "I'm not watching anymore after she leaves." but now, I guess I have to.
 
^lmao. alone? i'm surprised you're saying this. there was a very high ratio in favor of it on the TCCFS thread. even those people who are always very critical about the eps liked it. i actually haven't read many negative comments, barely any (which is very rare).

what i like about csi is that they're not afraid to step out of the box which they created themselves. they have so many creative ideas, and even though the episode wasn't CSI-schematic, it was so entertaining to me that i didn't even notice the lack of Grissom or Sara.

it's all a matter of taste. i guess when it comes to CSI i'm easy to please. or maybe it's b/c i love to be scared and laugh in between. to me the ep was brilliant. i don't need GSR every single time, it's good to watch something different from time to time. i love that CSI has been a pioneer of many ideas and that even though they're all tired and in their 8th year, they still do an amazing job.
 
Sorry, I meant alone on this thread. I don't go to the episode discussion threads because of bashers, so outside this and the Jorja/Sara threads, I don't know what people think.
 
^ oh okay. yeah, i haven't read this thread in a while. i'm afraid i'll get spoiled, and believe me it happened too many times to count ;)

although i have to admit i've seen the 8x07 promo pic. not on purpose of course. oh y'all, i totally fogot, i updated my LJ with 32 new icons. yuuuuup. check it out here. i'm only warning the spoiler free that i made one icon out of that 8x07 still.
 
I feel I'm pretty easy to please on CSI epsiodes, I've usually put a positive comment on the ep. thread, but so far my favs. have been "DEAD DOLL" Jorja was amazing, and "CARP" a good ep. I think my total favorite so far..next to "DD" I didn't particualry like "ALA CART" which was saturated with GSR, and had them coming out, the stories A & B were boring, and 'GO TO HELL' also boring, and creepy, but this last one it's to me, was sleazy and cheesy, lame, stupid and silly. I actually felt sorry for Marg, she's so much better than this, embarassing!! not becasue of no GSR I didn't like the episode :( and Adzix fabulous icons as usual.. ;)Hey Adzix can I nail one? will of course credit it to you ;)

I didn't like it because I just thought... it was really bad. It was almost like they were trying to make it into a horror movie. I too found it cheesy and lame. The fact they there was no GSR and barely any Sara just pisses me off and makes me like it even less. She's leaving in two episodes, and I want more of her, not less.
 
Lol, I don't think I've seen that one. *checks episode guide* Ohhhh, it's that one! I think I saw part of it, and then stopped watching for some reason. I saw the scene where Grissom and Sara talked about the time they first met, I remember squeeing over it. Maybe I just saw it in a clip on GSR.com or something... I'll have to watch it.
