Hey if you guys haven't wandered down below lately, you might just want to check out the Kiss Kiss YoBang Role Play thread. Gil & Sofia are having way too much fun down there. :lol:

When are they going to give us a Gil/Sofia episode. They had some action last season now we don't see them together to much.
Kira, I know what you mean. I can only think something's gonna "bang" happen suddenly and be a surprise, especially after reading LL's quote about the possibilities of romance opening up for her. I also think some of what might have happened this season was thrown off track a wee bit by WP's family tragedy, and his lessened screen time down the line. You just have to know the writers are itching to utilize LL somewhere, and not just as a detective. Unfortunately though, there are so many writers, and they all have to agree on basic storylines. Otherwise you'd have 2 writers writing a total GSR script, then 2 other writers writing a GC or Gofia script, and it becomes convoluted. I think it's come to the point where they want to finally inject some romance into the overall storyline somewhere, but there are probably some major behind-the-scenes disagreements about "who goes with whom". In the meantime, I think all the major ships will get nothing more than "a lick and a promise", as my wise granny used to say.
Hey MBG thinking about what you said and then all the three letter words (Gilbert & Sofia Romance, hint hint, wink, wink) they were using last night in Kiss Kiss, it is very possible the big bang will be coming before the end of the season. You have to be flexable in TV with so many different schedules and unexpected things coming up, but I can't see them not use Louise as they originaly wanted as Gil's love.
So once again we have to be patient and root for the writers who love Gofia as much as we do.

This is my first post in this thread. I just finished watching the commentary on the episode Formalities. It is very interesting that Dustin Lee Abraham and Naren Shankar stated that Louise Lombard/Sofia was brought as "love interest" for Gilbert Grissom thanks to Carol Mendelsohn. They chose her personality because they wanted her to be someone who would annoy Gilbert the most. Grab his attention make him notice her and flirt. ABRTI2 really brought to light to me that she respected him and wanted to talk to him first when her world was turned upside. Now that Sofia is no longer a C.S.I. and doesn't work for the lab, a relationship between these too wouldn't be inappropriate. I would really love to see these two evolve. I think they have such a cute quality together.

I think they are building up to something between Gil and Sofia otherwise it dosent make any sence for them to bring her in as a love interest and then total drop it.

"Aisha Tyler isn’t the only new addition to the cast. Louise Lombard makes an impression as Sofia; more than a match for Grissom, and oozing sexual chemistry. She’s introduced in “Formalities”, and what an introduction it is - during a ceremony to announce Ecklie’s promotion, she is called to a crime scene with Grissom, and proceeds to get out of a slinky red dress, much to Gil’s chagrin. Their chemistry provides some interesting moments, especially when Sofia is taken under Grissom’s wing. Despite these innovations, the cases are still paramount when it comes to CSI."

Well they keep talking about her being a match for Grissom it's about time they quit pussy footing and around and get the call rolling. What are they gonna do wait till the last couple of episodes of the season and then show that they've been in a relationship all along.
