That Grissom is starting to show signs of being the Grissom of the past. And Catherine was right there with him. I was reminiscant of earlier seasons.

Sometimes I go back and look at Season 1 Grissom and go "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU????"

I do that too, I think a lotta people do. It's a shame what's happened, especially with G/C, they lost a lotta potential right there. And I know y'all agree

Sure most of us agree with you, if not all. I so miss their sparks and those witty convos. Watching Catherine and Gil talk back and forth and laugh about their great lines used to be one of the pleasures watching CSI brought me. Somewhere along the way, though, the wit has gone, the cool jokes have disappeared. I think I totally understand why some people who used to be fanatic Gil lovers now call him "Pod Grissom".

There wasn't much Cath in the latest episode. She looked great anyway.

Good portions of Cath, but definitely no G/C. I really felt for this episode with the cruelty to dogs. Almost drew tears from my eyes. This was a nice freshness, I think. I liked the Warrick drama. :lol:

No C/G? I'm not surprised. lol. The current writers either don't want to bring back the C/G chemistry because it might lead the show to a way that's different from what they appreciate and like although that will actually be a great thing, or don't really know how to write Catherine and Gil because a lot of them joined the staff half way and don't really have a good idea about C/G's history and the great dynamic. Although to me, a good portion of Catherine is always a great thing. Heh.

Cath looked great as always!! At least she got more screen time than last week's episode No Gil/Cath moment and I have to agree with EricaSJ's conclusion about the writers. I think they just don't know how to bring it back. The thing is that their chemistry is not up to the writers it just naturally flows from Marg and William so all the writers have to do is put them on scene together; the rest they do all by themselves

Our only problem is just that the writers refuse to put Marg and Billy in the same scene. It's a shame that they're letting such chemistry go to waste. Heck, I'd settle for having G and C stand in a scene together and not saying a word. Their chemistry transends words.

I was disappointed that there was no GC talk in last night's ep. As the supervisors of the nightshift, I think there should have at least been a scene with them discussing Warrick's problems and maybe how to get him help. It would have been great to see that united leadership that they used to show. It would show that there is some sense of stability with the team these days.

yeah, but for the lack of Cath/Gil scenes, I have to say, this episode was very well done. It reminded me of the earlier seasons like seasons 1 and 2.

But, sadly, Cath and Gris didn't have a scene together.
Someone did mention an episode where they were in the same room and didn't talk, it was Go to Hell from earlier this season. The scene after the 'preacher' pushed the girl over the balcony right on front of Cath was pretty powerful. Gil was right there and they didn't say a word to each other. I hope we some more of those scenes between them this season. *Darn Writers Strike* Too bad we have to wait until January for a new episode.

Hehe hiphugger, call me Erica please. That's how everyone calls me.

You know what, I don't really think the lack of C/G scenes upsets me anymore...because as I said earlier, I don't think the current writers and some of the producers (well, THREE of them) understand the beauty of PureJoy. They are not Ann Donahue after all. It's really hard for me to imagine any good C/G scene written by them. But hey, we've got excellent writers in the fandom who truly understand PureJoy and who write much better C/G scenes than the show writers do. They're at Graveyard Shift Home and you have any C/G scenes you want over there.

You know, as a fanfic writer, it gets increasingly harder to come up with scenes and scenarios that haven't already been explored by everybody. That's why this one's a long one coming. And I love our ship. Anything you can ever possibly imagine, it's going to be written, whether you like it or not. I think that's fantastic.

I've started taking this lack of G/C as an everday occurence and when we do get G/C, it's just..Hallelujah, quite frankly. :lol:

GC's always there. You just have to look a bit harder sometimes.

I don't think I've had problems coming up with ideas. Erica reads them all first, so she'd know - Erica...do I have problems?

Wow, that was interesting wording...

Anyway, G and C are off having fun in preparation for Christmas. Catherine in a Santa Clause hat and nothing else??
