my fave scenes of grillows is
1.when gil protected cath from eddie in too tough to die
2. when they hugged in inside the box at the end
3. when gil got protective of cath in weeping willows " he hit you?"
4. when when he told people at jackpot that she was his wife

I think it's wildly hilarious that Eddie, Doc Robbins, the people of Jackpot, Greg, etc. all can see that Cath and Gil should be together, yet somehow Purejoy is never showed on the show. I mean it was like in the earlier seasons that were were being told that there was so much more between Grissom and Catherine. Now look at where we are. They hardly speak 2 words to each other. I keep hoping that sometime in the future that Grillows will be canon and tastefully done so that it is believable that they were always meant to be together.

I know I'm hoping a lot, but hey, sometimes is pays to be optimistic.

I feel exactly the same way as you do 27dayz. We can always hope they will get together. :D I'm going to buy another season on dvd, which is best for Grillows? (lol) I am so sad...

Well, if you're looking for grillows, I'd stay away from season 7. Far away. Seasons 1-5 were really good as far as Grillows goes. My personal favourites are 4 and 5, with Jackpot, Gil's sex line, Fur and Loathing. Plus the bowties scene, Gil's missing cath's tush, Cath getting mad at him for breaking a skull. Classic. Season 6 was actually decent, with the exception of the last episode. I mean there, you at least have Shooting Stars, Secrets and Flies, Still Life, plus several other little GC moments thrown in there. (And this maybe off topic but Gum Drops was an awesome ep, even though Gil and Cath are hardly in it).

Just a few suggestions

Hehe thank you, I have season 6, but when I was out shopping all they had was season 7, so I bought it, but next time I go into town, I will buy season 5 I think :D I really wanna see the bow-tie ep, what is it called? I have seen Gumdrops, it is sooo sad, but a really good ep. :D Thanks for your help!! :D

I think the bow-tie episode is called Formalities. There should be more scenes like this one if you ask me.

I love watching how oblivious G and C are to the fact that everyone on the show KNOWS they should be together. The thinly veiled suggestions go right over the top of their heads. t's hilarious.

Formalities....The bowtie. I loved it.

I agree Drumchik. They really have to get together at some point, if not the writers are just doing it to torture us...

Season 8 starts here on Tuesday night, I have decided I am going to watch every week, because before I have just watched every now and again, but in the past few weeks, I have bought 2 boxsets and am becoming an addict. Do we get many good C/G scenes in season 8?

Uh, that would be a big "No". I think there is only a very small handful of scenes in which Gil & Catherine are even in the same scene together throughout the first ten episodes of Season 8. Such a pity. Although, one of the scenes they don't say a word to each other, but a quick look between them speaks volumes. It's after Cath has just witnessed a young girl thrown to her death and is processing the scene.

The good thing about GC though, is that even when they're not together, or are just passing by each other, it's always there. You can just TELL.

The only episode I have watched since A La Cart was The Chick Chop Flick Shop and then some clips from other episodes. Certainly tells how uninterested I am in the current season, doesn't it? :D I did like the ending scene from Go to Hell, though. I just watched the clip and I loved that Catherine and Gil could read one another's mind without saying a word. That reminded me of the ending scene from season 2's Bully For You in which Catherine walked into Gil's office and knew immediately that he was looking for stamps just by looking at him. As much as I don't like season 8, I can't help being glad that even though a lot of things have changed through the years, that one thing is still there. :)

Oh and if you like reading PureJoy fanfics, lemonjelly just updated her WIP Zwischenzug. It's her first update in a couple of months. I highly recommend this one. It's becoming one of my all time favorites. :)

Ever since Season one there has been a strong chemistry between Catherine and Gil. The writers maybe trying to downplay on their relationship, but you can still SENSE it's there just in the way they look at each other.

Season 8 is okay. It's better IMO than season 7.
The C/G moments that you are describing Erica are the ones that come to mind so far....

BUT

Gil and Cath are supposed to work together in the upcoming episode. Gil in jeans again (can I say WWHOO HOOO) and Cath with him. How HOT :devil: ;) is this going to be

You know, I was just thinking about that end scene for Go To Hell. Marg and Billy are just superb. Even the writers can't kill that amazing chemistry. It brought back memories of Bully For you, for me too. (BTW Happy bday Erica). On the side note, it kind of annoyed me that the scene ended with Gil looking at a dead bee, mind you TPTB probably wanted him to look at something other that Cath's tush for a change.
