Here you go to school in year when you turn 7 (you can get there a year early if you are born in Jan are smart otherwise. I'd wanted to go a year earlier but my mother didn't let me since teachers were horrible towards those who had done it :() and kindergarden in age 6.

damn here you have two years of kindergarten... age 4 and 5... You get some education through playing in those years and from age 6 you start to have classes and such... Grammer school is until age 11 and then you get high school from age 12. you got some different levels there. It takes 4 to 6 years to graduate. 4 yours to the two lowest levels, then 5 years for a little higher and 6 yours for the advanced levels.

then you have two levels in college. and university. Our school system is pretty complicated I usually hear from foreigners. I am currently doing the highest level in College. University would be to hard!
 
here you start school at 4- then your at primary school, 11-high school, middle school at 13- if you want. 6th form/ college at 16 and uni at 18. its only compulsory til 16

Interesting, the ages that other people go to school, thinking about it 4 does seem rather early... :)

We also don't have middle schools in this part of England, it is one of those things that only happens in some parts, I went to secondary school from 11-16 and then on to college (which was some of the most fun I have ever had, I loved the ages of 16-18)!

I was 4 when I started school! That makes me 26 (most people here seem to be students and at least I can still remember what those days were like). :)

What is interesting to me as well is the different national holidays that country's have. I've seen in another thread that is is Thanksgiving in Canada today? I have learned something new today, as I didn't know that Canada had a thanksgiving! Hope all the Canadians have a good day! :)
 
the middle schools up here in newcaslte are closing down soon- i think?. personally i did the same as you high school then sixth form.

yeah i agree every country had different national holidays- we don't seem to have to many like
