Getting To Know Each Other

^I'm not crazy about movie soundtracks in general. I had a short lived obsession with Moulin Rouge though
And I absolutely adore "Sweet Home Alabama" The movie is cute and the soundtrack is my fave ever. I love every single song on that :D
There's others too. I don't usually buy soundtracks but I think music is one of the most important aspects in a movie, so if the music sucks the movie can't be too good.

^^ 'Course there is Naomi :). The songs are just hidden behind the bands and singers that sing it! :p Like that soundtrack in 'Armegaddon' called 'I don't want to miss a thing' by Aerosmith? That song is awesome.

Oh, I know those Casp, and yes those are good too :) though what I like the best are...umm, how do I say this? not actual songs, but the scores themselves. By that I mean the orchestral pieces and the conductors behind those. Like for example, Hans Zimmer (who I think is the God of movie music), who composed and conducted the soundtrack for films such as Pirates of the Caribbean, The Last Samuari, King Arthur (one of my favourites), The Rock (which I'm listening to at the moment), The Ring, etc.

John Williams, James Horner, Alan Silvestri, Howard Shore, Danny Elfman and Harry Gregson-Williams are my other favourite composers after Hans Zimmer :)

Wibbs, I adore the musical scores from films. The music is what gives a film its emotion a lot of the time.

Some of my favorites include anything by Danny Elfman (his style is so distinct, you can recognise an Elfman score from the first few bars of music), Michael Nyman's score for "The Piano" (i defy anyone to listen to "The Heart Asks Pleasure First" and NOT be moved), Hans Zimmer's score for "Hannibal" (deliciously creepy) and, of course, Howard Shore's score for "Lord of the Rings" - simply perfect.

*hugs Shannon* :D Oohh, I've yet to listen to The Piano, though I have other stuff by Michael Nyman. I'll have to check that out, along with Hannibal :) And I agree about Danny Elfman's distinct style. I think my favourite by him is the Edward Scissorhands soundtrack - so hauntingly beautiful in some places and just perfect for the movie :)

Ah yes, POTO is good :D though I'm a nutcase when it comes to soundtracks. I have soundtracks from about 60 different movies so far, and my collection continues to grow
