George/Nick:Texan Charm #8

Hello all!
On the subject of Nick's woman...I think he needs a tall redhead, with green eyes, who happens to work in law enforcement so she completely understands his career! Ok, so I described myself...so sue me! :D

As for the Halloween costume (hate this holiday as I have to drive around and confiscate shaving cream and eggs from future "perps") I would say...Evel Knieval! Complete with tacky little jumsuit with streamers coming off of it, and he probably pretended his bike was a motorcycle!

Oooh, oooh, I know. I bet one year he went dressed up as a police officer complete with (wait for it).......handcuffs

*pops into thread* :)

I just wanted to drop by and tell you all my fun afternoon last week. My husband switched on the TV and I asked him what was on and he said it was 'some film with Yasmine Bleeth in it' and I thought to myself 'hmm, wasn't George Eads in a film with her...' And he was!

Yes, it was 'Crowned and Dangerous'. So I made my husband leave it on for me to watch. A terrible, terrible movie, but GE was looking oh so young and cute! Even in a bad movie GE stands out as being a good actor. I never thought I would ever get to see his performance in that movie, so it was a nice surprise! :)

Hi Elsie thanks for the up date. I've never seen Crowned and Dangerous. I have heard it's a very cheesy movie and worth it if only to see GE.

On to new CSI this week. I saw a clip of the show last night and oh did Nick look good in it. Other than reading a synopsis of it on the CBS site I have no idea what the episode is about. Oh did I mention Nick looked yummy :)

Elsie i am soooo jealous of you :p other countries have played crowned and dangerous on tv but canada doesnt seem to want to. its also not on video so i cant rent/buy it.

i know it is going to be terribly cheesey, but its young george! im sure it would be fun to see once, just like 'the spring'. watch it once, but never again  theres only so much help george can give to a terrible movie... i wonder why he hasnt been in an actual good move? aside from monte walsh, that one was good. the others were just meh.

 You haven't really missed much though maple. Yeah, young George is nice to see, and his acting is above par, but you're right, there is only so much he can give to a bad movie. I was surprised it was on TV, but it was an afternoon movie on a channel that regularly shows bad made for TV type stuff. I doubt they'll be repeating it, and I'm not surprised it's not available on video.

Apart from Evel Kneivel it's the only other thing I've seen George in. I'd like to see Monte Walsh as that looks OK, but it would be nice if he was to star in some other movies because the man can act! Maybe in the future we'll get lucky, or at least he'll get lucky and land a fantastic role in a great movie...

You know, my cousin TiVo'd Crowned for me, but I said nevermind. I don't think I need to see that one. I would still like to see Second String though. I've seen The Spring, and Just A Walk in the Park- The Spring was pretty blah, but I actually liked J.A.W.I.T.P. I wish they'd had someone other than Jane Krakowski in the role, but even so, George was pretty good in that one.

Second String wasn't bad, a little slow at times and kind of cheesy but a decent underdog sports movie. George is only in it for like 5 minutes though.

Oh how I wish Just a Walk in the Park would come out on DVD. Hey I would settle for VHS. It would give my VCR something to do :)

Onto last nights almost Nickisode. It was a great Nickisode until he found the evidence that one brother was setting the other up. And then it became the Catherine show. Hey tptb wasn't it Nick's case. I mean he found the body at the beginning and he had the last word before the opening credits. There were some drool worthy scenes of the white striped shirt Nick was wearing :p I loved GE's accent when he said pipe :) The comment about actresses and their weight was a nice snide comment on the problem that actresses have.

Definitely alot of good Nick scenes. And I'm with you on the white striped shirt, Jacquie - yummy. With the weight comment, it made me think of the eppy with the dead model - so sad, actresses and models and weight. Anyway, wished he hadn't faded away towards the end (though that was some good sleuthing, figuring out they had the wrong brother - Will Sasso could never have pulled off that switch pre weight-loss -- yes, he's still a big guy but anybody else remember when he was a really big guy??). Rambling....because the eppy scared the crap out of me (I don't do horror movies.) Just glad to have memories of delicious Nicky scenes to comfort me.

I thought it was a pretty weird episode last night, but that may be because I don't really get into horror movies so all that stuff was beyond me.

Nicky was perfect last night. White shirt, with and without the vest. I could just stare at him walking down the hallway (I think) with Catherine all night. I don't get how he could find evidence that they brought in the wrong brother and then disappear for the rest of the episode. I think they sorta screwed up with that.

I cringed when he said that he'd call swing and get some help. I wondered what was wrong with Warrick and Greg. Warrick never appeared and all Greg did was talk to Sara. Instances that that make me feel like they're shoving Roni (sp?) at us.

Never knew that their cell phones were department issue! (Learn new things every day don't we?)

So now that the writer's strike may happen on Monday, do you think GE would cross the picket line to continue to film episodes? If the strike were to go on long what do you think GE might do? Last time there was a strike it lasted 22 weeks I think.

First off this is for everyone not just people of The Ward.

Secondly I have Destiny's blessing to do this but please read this and particularly the disclaimer at the bottom of Destiny's first message. We are not sending anything to the stars. This is for members of the board only.

I was visiting the NY forum on Sunday and saw a great idea that I would like to try here on the CSI forum. It was for A Holiday Card Swap amongst all members of the forum. The way this would work here is if you are interested in sending out cards to other members or receiving cards, pm me your address. Once I have all the addresses I will send them out by pm to only people who sent me their address. Since we are dealing with many different countries I'm setting the deadline to pm your address to me at November 26. Once we've all made use of the addresses I ask that they be destroyed. If you have any comments or suggestions feel free to make them. I hope everything here makes sense and I hope we get a lot of people taking part here :) I will be following the same guidelines that the NY forum is doing.

I am going to go ahead and put this in, so that people don't have to click the link and try to figure out the part referring to that I said.

Disclaimer: "that the CSIFiles, TalkCSI, The Owner, Admins, & Moderators are not in anyway responsible for any project or members participation in it, We do not advise for or against it, and any information you give is at you're discretion. We do not encourage the giving of personal info (ie full name, address, phone) or money, etc."

Alrighty then have fun. ;)
