George/Nick: Texan Charm #11

You know something Nick said last night majorly caught my attention.

"I think everyone has a violent streak in the, I know I do"

Hmmmm :shifty: Is that a precursor to something? I don't know, but when he said it gave me pause. Have we seen it before? Like in 'Gum Drops'? His taking more risks?

What do you think?

It made me think of "Death and the Maiden" when he said "I would have killed him too".

I was wondering - What episode would you want him to do commentary on for the season 10 DVD's? I was thinking at first that Lost & Found would be nice just to hear his views on those scenes with Conner that we all love so much. I think he could really get into doing it for Lover's Lanes or Long Ball. But ultimately I would love to hear from all 4 of the guys on filming Appendicitement. I think it would be a laugh a minute!

"Appendicitement" with the whole gang would be great! I think also "Lost and Found", not just because of the kid scenes but all of his scenes in that one. It was just a well-rounded great episode. :)

Whew! I've been waiting 24 hours to post this!

"Second String" will be playing on TBS Monday, May 25th at 3:00AM.

ILoveMyCSI over at Nick_Discussion found video of last week's 19th Annual Hellenic Times Gala.

You get to see part of George's speech. Wish it was all of it, though :(

He mentions his mom. :) and he chokes up when talking about his Grandmother. :)

Enjoy!!!

In case you're wondering, Podga over at Nick_Discussion did some translating to the Greek that George said during his speech, not wonder he got choked up about his Grandmother.

The first phrase is a little garbled but I believe he says "Filaki, Yorgo." (Φιλάκι, Γιώργο.) "Yorgos" is Greek for George, and "filaki" means small kiss (The ending -aki is a diminutive.)

The second phrase is "Afti se theli." (Αυτή σε θέλει.) As he says, that means "she wants you".

The third phrase, that his grandmother says, is "S'agapo, Yorgo." (Σ'αγαπώ, Γιώργο), i.e. "I love you, George." But who would need to know that one, am I right? :)

He closes with "Efharisto" (Ευχαριστώ), which means "Thank you."

Thanks, Speedy! Looking forward to seeing it myself this afternoon! :) I still need to finish capping "Doctor Who" tho. :shifty:

:adore::adore::adore::adore: Oh my gosh...as if it were possible to love him even more!! :) How sweet was that? I can't believe all the sounds of people chatting and eating while he was talking! I think I would have been paying more close attention. :)

as much as I would love to have George do a commentary on all the episodes :) I think I have to go with everyone's suggestion here. Appendicitement would be a riot to listen  It would be very interesting to hear from all 4 guys about the show.

Just saw the new pictures of George on the Ward. We sure have been lucky lately with all the new George pictures.

Blackflag posted an interview from Carol Mendehlson over in the 'Meat Market' and "Season 11 spoiler thread".

I wanted to point out a question she was asked because of her answer. I wanted to share this because not everyone goes into spoiler threads so here it is. Don't worry there are no spoilers.

What were the high points of the season?

The return of Jorja Fox. The premiere’s motion control shootout in the lab. “Coup de Grace” receiving The Television Academy’s “Award of Conscience.” The boys’ night out in “Appendicitement.” Getting to work with Rascal Flatts. George Eads’ performance in “Lost & Found.” Langston and Greg’s processing of the electronics store in “Death and the Maiden.” Another crazy Dustin Abraham script — “Lover’s Lane.” Watching Greg bowl. Catherine and Vartann. [removed due to possible spoiler info] And, watching Laurence Fishburne and Bill Irwin in any of their scenes together.

I am still shocked :eek: that she even said anything about George (it's been a long time). :D It's about time she recognizes his talent, even if she did mention the people she always does. For once, she remembered there are other actors on the show.

I'm a little surprised on that as well speedy but it should hold well for George for next year that he's been recognized this year. I think Lost and Found goes in the same category as Grave Danger and Gum Drops. Excellent job George :)

Thanks also to blackflag for bringing the article to speedy's notice.

I hope so, because Nick/George is the heart of that show and it would be a shame to lose the 'heart' and the 'soul' of the team. :)

You know in times like this... when people speculate about who may be back or not back in the next season, you always see that everyone, Nick fan or not, thinks he is the heart of the show and should never leave it.

It's amazing... no one wants to seem him go and everyone likes him :)

And it was George who formed this character and made that we all like Nick. He is such a great actor and episodes like Lost and Found always show that.

You rock, George
