Gary #6: Renaissance Man (cause he can do everything)

So you asked about Gary's films well... I'd say...

1) Forrest Gump; Most memorable role, a lot to do with his band ect...but most of all great film and a perfect role for him!

2) CSI:NY; Even thought that there's a lot of watching...I'd start from season 1, but I think you could watch episodes at once and a while. I did that some years ago...

3) Mice and Man: A real classic...Gary looks super hot there:drool: not to mention it's very emotional and sweet movie.:adore: I always cry when I watch it! :lol:

haha i have to disagree with your choice of top 3, even though all of those are good - it's lovely when an actor is so versatile that everyone can have a different favourite film

my top 3 recommendations would be:

true west (although it's hard to find)
a midnight clear
of mice & men

One thing I found, he smiles and the smirks that he has tends to draw you in... then you are completely gone...... right?!!!!

OMAM is a must see...did you guys know that this movie got a 6 minutes applause when showed in Cannes Festival?? Take that George Clooney :devil:

And he looked so cute!! (I personally hate the word "cute" but this time it just fits)... I have an almost worn out DVD, but when the money gets better ill get the Special Edition...I should have thought firstin buying DVDs or buying an apartment:guffaw::guffaw:...

i thought he was super hot in OMAM - cute as well (and i tend to like cute anyway), but super hot overall. just for the hell of it then:

i actually do think he should've won - as a film adaptation it's definitely one of the most faithful and as an ensemble piece it works brilliantly - obviously gary and JM take centre stage but they never overshadow the others, everyone gets to contribute. i liked how they changed curly's wife as well (although obvs that was horton foote, not gary!), it made her far more sympathetic. i want him to do every steinbeck book ever - i love steinbeck and he'd be so good at it!

^ well, he is talented! i'm just not sure being bloody gorgeous counts as a talent!! it's a good thing he's such a good actor/all round good bloke, that way we can call him talented and get away with it.

woop! i just had an email to say my special edition OM&M dvd has been shipped! i have the normal one but i wanted the special one for the deleted stuff - it's only region one and i had to get it from asia (!?!) but it's on the way! yay for added OM&M goodness

i wish more dvds had deleted scenes - the ones from AMC are wonderful, i wish they hadn't deleted at least one of them(and apaparently several critics agreed), but hey ho

I remember seeing the Ransom Special Ed long time ago, couldn't say if it had interviews or anything but it surely had a lot of deleted scenes of Gary and Lily Taylor.

Wgat i'd really love to have is a decent edition of Impostor. The one i could get my hands in only had a documentary and the original version of the movie (shorter than the theatrical version)....though i'm not unhappy with ir...it has a lot of scenes of Gary running shirtless....It was ladies nite when i got it :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

I hate cause in my versions of Gary's films are that kind of that there's no extras...and literally I'm pissed!!!
