You said about soviet uniform - and I thought - imagine Gary in film K-19: The Winowmaker instad of Harisson Ford or Liam Neeson - I like the russian uniform of submariners.

that pic is so cute thanks for the interview too i was reading a really good one about his theatre work, it was really serious!

i know what you mean - i like a good uniform! i was on a soviet submarine once (in vladivostok) - sadly gary wasn't there, i wouldn't have minded if he didn't want to wear the uniform but he stood me up so i had to wear a naval/submariner uniform instead (and i looked totally ridiculous!). he'd look way better than ford or neeson though

I see you've choose great films. Mice and Men, Stand, Reindeer Games...I love them all!:hugegrin: In each film the character is so interesting and captivating so I sometimes just stare him and forgot the plot totally until someone says:
"Sam, would you blink you eyes so you won't faint!"
or...
"You're catching flies!"

it was definitely morning here in the uk, but even so i never usually go to bed til 5-6am so i don't usually drag myself out of bed til midday, and having been up 2 hours by half 11 was all just too much!

I'll try to look through my collection of pics and articles tonight when I get home. I know I've got pics I haven't seen here yet, at least in this thread, hehe. Most of them are from the (now closed) Sinise Daily community in LJ. I know I have a copy of a controversial interview (of his problems in his personal life, particularly his marriage in the early years) that's rather...intriguing. I'll be back soon.

Demmit, demmit, demmit. I can't find the interview anymore :alienblush: Sheesh. I have to look at my back-up files/cds. Which is in my other home. Which I now hardly go to. Augh! Anyway. maybe the other old-timer Gary fans have a copy of it? Looks hopefully at Fruitbat. It's a very revealing interview, where one of the topics included him and Moira having a rollercoaster of a marriage for a couple of years back in the early 80s. It was a very, very tumultuous time for them. I was really surprised when I first read it.

Now I know some of you may not like seeing Gary in that way. I'm not bringing it up to put him down. On the contrary, I admire him even more so for going past through all that shit ["We have weathered, many, many storms." ~ Gary] and getting to a point where he is now in his life. Also, it's one of the most personal interviews of him I've come across so I'd like to share that with all the Gary fans here. Umm, anyone has a copy?
