<3 I ordered True Vinyl on their website and I love that movie, haha. Plus there's shirtless Eric in it! And he's all groggy! And it's quite funny, so he has done sort of comedic stuff before.

I got confused as heck though when I looked up his name on netflix. It had CSI Miami Season 1 listed for him. I was like "when was he on Miami?" then I remembered the spin-off deal, so it's possible he appeared in the first half right before Cath and Rick left to go to Miami. LOL.

NO he did not appear in that episode at all in the one for CSI: Miami. I always see him credited but if he was supposed to be in it, they cut his scene out.

Hey, there is a audio interview with Eric done recently for the Ireland, CSI: Experience being there. It was done via phone. You have to scroll down on the page to find the Listen To Podcasts
Will chats with Greg from CSI Vegas about his experiences in the show
The Will Leahy Show - Eric Szmanda aka Greg from CSI Vegas
THE WILL LEAHY SHOW

It's about 7 minutes long.

Again I do not think Eric would be doing promo interviews for the experience if he was not coming back.

Thank you for that, Dizzney! How nice to hear Eric's voice:)! I sincerely hope you are right about him coming back!

Dear TPTB,
Please, please, please bring Eric back, give him fair pay for his substantial contribution, and much more screentime! He is the whole reason that I watch the show, and I would love to learn more about him (and finally see his apartment).
Thank you:).

Yeah I really hope they give him more screen time next season and one ep for Greg.

Oh and this week's episodes to watch are:
No Humans Involved and Who Shot Sherlock? Two great Greg episodes, especially our core one, WSS.

It's about another week before the end of June, and no matter what, Eric and the cast are legally bound by TPTB to do whatever they ask. Though I suspect they've either finished with contract negotiations or are close to wrapping up, because if some of the cast are being let go, there would be rumours of new casting. Especially with scripts needing to be written and filming due to begin soon, yes? Normally it's in July or August?

Or... TPTB is just excellent at keeping secrets.

Well no one has started the conversations yet about this week's episodes.
I watched No Humans Involved first. This was the episode before he got his final proficiency exam and this episode really gave Greg a good taste at how cruel people can be. I thought Eric did a fine job in showing his sadness about the situation of the child being left in the trash. It was funny at first how he did run behind the dumpster to shield himself from the gunfire.
Even back in the morgue, you could see he was still bothered by the dead child. Then we see him processing the container for prints. I always loved the face he made when he saw that Hodges was paging him. That "Oh God, not that creep" face. Anyway, then we have another classic Hodges/Greg little confrontation. I enjoyed the faces Greg continued to make showing that he was annoyed with him and was about to take off if he did not get to the point.
Then it was nice to see him ask Sofia for advice on how to capture the print. It shows he still had a bit to learn and that is why I think he was tested too early before by Grissom. Then we see him again in the hood and another funny moment when the kid walks by and calls him a white boy. Greg trying to look all cool and not bothered by it. And lastly seeing his apprehension about going into that outdoor storage basement, just seeing his discomfort.
This episode was great because it carried a mixture of seriousness about the whole death of the child and then the light humor with Greg in his hiding behind the dumpster and the banter with Hodges. I always have enjoyed episodes of CSI when they can mix the serious with the humor in a proper way. Plus this episode really showed Greg how ugly things can be out in the field.

Then we have Who Shot Sherlock? Of course I think this is still probably the best Greg episode we ever have had, mostly due to it really focusing on him due to it being his true final proficiency. But then the show crime scene was just so cool anyway. I actually love listening to the DVD commentary on this episode. If you have the DVD and have not listened to it yet, check it out. It gives a lot of insight into this episode, even though Eric is not on the commentary.
Anyway back to the ep, I loved seeing Greg really focusing on the evidence and how he wanted to go back to the scene because he found something was missing. This episode really did focus on the evidence which more recent episodes have not had as much deep focus on, I feel. I loved seeing him find stuff and then work on it in the lab, truly following the evidence. Sara's support of him was nice through the whole thing and congratulating him even though his conclusion was wrong.
I loved Grissom gently guiding him along with his wrong conclusions, when he was in the locker room (MTV Boy). And poor Greg as he watches the real killer being interrogated by Brass, thinking he has ffailed again. Then his seeing Nick and Warrick, who were there after he received the bad news last time, there again to possibly see his failure as they tell him to go to Grissom's office. His poor forlorn look only to be nicely surprised with a dummy that said he passed. His reaction was great. Then everyone coming in and congratulating him, such a great scene. I loved how Grissom looked on him in the end, like a proud father seeing his son achieve his goal.

Eric was great in this ep, from the first scene when he is trying to come up with scenarios of what happened, his uncertainty to his disappointment in the locker room about failing to realize the evidence was out of context, to his sincere happiness and gratefulness at the end when he realized he passed. Kudos all the way around. Definitely the best Greg episode there is.

Thanks for sharing, I love the sound of his voice. I was a little bummed out by Sara's return but I have gotten to like having her back (until they have to remind us for the umteenth time that she is married to Grissom) and now I know that Eric is happy to have her back. I am happy that he is happy.

On to the ep discussion.

No Human's involved. I like this episode because it shows how horrible life can be and the CSI's do get affected by it. I love how Sara is there for Greg as well. We learn why Greg does not carry a gun also. We get to see some emotion.

And who doesn't love Who Shot Sherlock? IMO is one of the best eps of S5. Greg finally passing his proficiency and becoming a CSI, it marks the end of his days in the lab and a new beginning to his time in the field. A great continuing arc that began way back in S2 with Chasing the bus. An all around great episode.

SpasmThatCat to TPTB: Come on, tell us if Eric's in the new season or not! All my fingernails are gone...

I watched 'No Humans Involved' last night, but everything I was going to mention has been mentioned already! I'll just say that I loved his banter with Hodges, and also how he was the only one out of the team to treat Sofia with respect and be honest with her. Oh, and the bit at the end where he's joking around with Warrick and Nick in the break room always makes me smile - with them being on different shifts, it kind of shows that they all miss each other. Although I do wonder what the heck he was talking about!

I really do think Eric is coming back. I just do not see him doing all these recent interviews for the show if he was not. I'm just worried now because it looks like one of the best Greg writers is going, David Rambo. He co-wrote Who Shot Sherlock and has written a lot of other great Greg episodes. Now this does worry me.
