I think she meant it because it was free on your birthday that he should go.

Anyway this is about Greg and I do agree that Riley has been teamed with Greg far more and even the writers have said how they like their brother/sister relationship. Just like the crazy face Greg made this week to her about her being to obvious with her signals in the gun practice.

What a discussion and I missed it, lol.

This season is really good for Greg and it's great that he's on the spotlight (finally). Sad is only that it took writers to understand that Greg is with show from the beginning. He should be explored just like other characters (Nick, Catherine) during all seasons.

It seems like its the new writers who are doing Greg justice more than the ones who been with the show longer (except David Rambo), that is a shame.

I also love Greg's crazy/funny faces, he really cracks me up sometimes with just an expression. And I love how his eyes go wide, the eyebrows go up when he gets excited. (like in my avi)

Yeah he definitely has an expressive face.

It does seem like the newer writer's are getting a better feel of Greg's character and giving him more respect than a lot of the older ones have. I am becoming a fan of these newer writers. :D

New writers have a good fresh look. I'm sure they spotted the big potential in Greg and well, new people surely made a research about CSI, not only about the whole show etc., but they checked fandoms and fans' opinions. Thanks to that we have more Greg.

Well now we will have a few weeks without a new episode. Withdrawals are going to kick in. We will have to keep up our talk of Greggo.

I've noticed the one episode discussion thread got a little off topic about who has matured the most during the time the show is on. I cannot think of anyone who has matured and grown more than our Greg. I mean he was a lab tech, with crazy hairstyles and crazy shirts, who liked to goof around. Over the years he has changed job positions and grown all the way to a Level 3 CSI. The crazy hairstyles are gone along with the shirts. He still has his humor but now he knows when it is appropriate and when it is not. Plus now he has grown to the point where he is able to try comforting a grieving father and show that emotional depth necessary in his job. I say hands down, Greg has shown the most growth on the show since it's inception.

ITA with you, Dizz. After nine years we saw in Greg serious changes. When I'm watching first season or second and then re-watch some from the latest season, eight or seventh - difference is so big. Greg is no more crazy boy from the DNA lab wearing funny shirts. I just love his mature side and everytime when I see on screen him I think how amazingly his character changed in passed few years. Like I mentioned earlier, new writers surely noticed that Greg is one of the characters who changed a lot. They spotted a potential and now they're using it.

And now he is even hotter than ever.

Ugh, I just got my new work schedule and I am stuck working nights. :( Have to watch CSI now when I get home. Boo!

Yuk - so glad I work days.

I agree, Greg has matured and has gotten hotter, sexier, and wiser. I love the way he has grown.

Well I am sort of working days now but we bid for shifts every 3-4 months or so and this bid was really crappy, almost all night shifts. I did get a 10 hr/4 day work week shift though. That is kind of nice. :D Too bad Thursday is not one of my days off. :(

Thank goodness I have my DVR to record my CSI. Yeah Greg has gotten much wiser and sexier for sure.

Bet it would be.

Here is what a review of No Way Out says about our Greggo:

Greg reaches out to Brian Morley, the father of the slain little boy in the neighborhood, first to get the man to give up his son's body and then to tell him that the man who killed his son is dead. In the first scene, Greg speaks to Morley quietly, telling him that his son, Jason "is no longer with us" and that "you have to let us take him so that we can figure out who did this." He also tells Morley that Jason is in "a better place." Though I'm not sure those were the right words to use--and indeed, in a situation like this, there really are no words that are sufficient--Greg is trying as best he can. The incident also shows how far Greg has come; he's no longer a rookie CSI, more accustomed to the lab than the field. It's been four seasons since Greg passed his field proficiency exam to become a CSI in "Who Shot Sherlock?", and he has clearly come a long way. Later Greg goes to inform Morley of the fate of Marcus Garfield, the man who shot and killed Jason. Morley asks Greg if this is something he has to do often and Greg answers him honestly, saying it's not a part of his job. Greg is probably the most softhearted member of the team, the most sensitive, so seeing him trying to comfort Morley feels natural.
Goes directly with what we've been discussing.

Awww, makes me so proud of our guy. I agree he is the most softhearted member of the team. I mean Greg felt really guilty about killing Demetrius. Most sensitive, close but I think Nick beats him in that but I love the comment about. He really has grown and I hope TPTB continue to show his growth.

I found another nice review about Greg in that ep.
The boy's father was seen clutching to his boy, over an hour after the incident, not ready to let go. David Phillips (David Berman), Dr. Robbins' assistant coroner, wasn't able to get the father to give him up, but Greg Sanders (Eric Szmanda) managed to help with the matter. Greg has come a long way on the show. He's a much calmer, more serious person than the old lab tech he used to be. He's no longer rocking out in the lab and guzzling caffeine. Greg's matured a great deal.
