Emmanuelle/Angell thread #1- Detective "Angel"

^^ I speak French too fluently!! :) She's French-Canadian though, so it's her mother tongue actually.

I love the tea-photo. :) Gorgeous!

ooh does that mean she speaks that whenever your around so you can't figure out what she's saying

aww how nice of you to do that just for me :D

Sure.. she was making tea *and* thinking how nuts you were, that would make her happy.

Argh! Saw 2. They killed teh Emmanuelle! And thet made her a prostitute. Why would they do that? WHY?! I don't know whether this is a complment or not, but she was a much more believable hooker than Julia Roberts ever was.

I have a high tolerance for that kind of stuff; I actually laughed through most of that film, but Emmanuelle's death gets me every time. I don't know if it's because it's so slow and painful or if it's the big f'ing razors or the screaming, or the fact that she was either left hanging there, or it cut right through or... :(

Yeah, that one makes me have nervy spasms in my chair.

Lets start a little discussion shall we. Since we're talking about Saw, have you guys seen Emmanuelle in anything else? I caught 'Painkiller Jane' the other day and I was pretty impressed. I'm not big on sci-fi films in general, but I thought that one was pretty decent and 'Elle had some great moments, like when she cried (take notes, Ms. Belknap ;)). She definately proved she can carry a whole film, which blows away any doubts anyone could have about whether or not she could carry scenes on her own on NY. She certainly kept my attention for an hour and a half, which is no easy feat, let me tell you. If there was a scientific test for this kind of thing, my attention span would probably be up there in the ranks of a small goldfish.

Oh, and her and Dr. McSteamy, now that's a HAWT couple. I enjoyed that a lot, but the hair towards the end, not so much. What the hell happened there?

Anyway, back to the performance. Did anybody see it? If so, what did you think?

I'll have you know she was making tea. TEA I TELL YOU!!! And her smile clearly shows how happy she was at the time. ;)

Okay, tea? Sooooo proves she was meant for me! I'm English after all, we pretty much bathe in the stuff down here. I know its one big bloody sterotype, but it's pretty accurate. I'm sure if there was ever a PG Tips famine 98% of the population would have withered and died before brunch time.

This is all the evidence I need to prove we are soulmates, so back off, Fay! Do the noble thing and step aside, before I have to join in on this sporking session. Although, I may bring something a little bit bigger, like a pitchfork...or a trident...a flaming trident...yeah, me likes that idea. :p ;)

Did you know that Emmanuelle speaks fluent French? Sexy.

Well, I assumed she did, considering here she hails from, but yeah, that is sexy. And I speak it too! Heh, more proof. Maybe I'll kidnap her and we'll live in a chateau on the River Seine, and then as soon as somebody finds us, we'll hop the border to Germany, 'cause I can speak that too. And anybody who tries to rescue her *eyes other thread-goers * will have their head bashed in with a bratwurst, whilst I dance around in customized sparkly lederhosen. :D

Heh, I love my mind. Hours of endless entertainment without any effort.

Sadly I have not seen Emmanuelle in anything else but NY :(. I do know she has a new film coming out entitled Blonde & Blonder with Denise Richards & Pamela Anderson. I think her part is small though.

Anyhoo, when I saw on her imdb page that she's from the same place, Vancouver BC, as me I freaked out in the biggest dorky manner ever . Finally, someone from the same area as me who can act haha. I also found it interesting that she attended an all girl private school. I know all the all girl private schools in Vancouver & they aren't too bad but I have no idea which one she attended. There are like, 3 or 4 I think...

*eta* Ooh and she has a house in Vancouver too. Nice. A lot of celebs live here...

I think I saw one episode of "Two and a Half Men" that she was in, but otherwise I've only seen her on NY. I'd like to see her in other roles, though. :)

Ali, just know that you're playing with fire, kay?

The fact that she speaks French wasn't obvious to me, considering that I didn't know where in Canada she was from and where French is common--so it was a nice tidbit for me at least. You're not allowed to point at me and laugh.

Sexy picture, by the way.

She pops up on a lot of shows. I have seen her on "So Weird" "Charmed" "Smallville" (recurring in season 2) and "Two and a Half Men". I have not seen her in any film though because she seems to only do horror. She is a good actress but she annoys me on CSI NY for some reason..not sure why.

Hmmm if she's of French-Canadian blood/heritage her ancestors probably hail from Quebec or Montreal, where everyone speaks French. Those eastern areas are far away from Vancouver, which is on the west coast. At least that's what I'm told . But anyhoo, I guess French class was a breeze for her in elementary & high school. Not so much me :(.

Ahh, Two and a Half Men. I thought she was pretty damn good on that show! Like somebody else said, before that I'd only ever seen her in NY and Saw, both serious roles, so it was nice to see her do a bit of comedy (Well, actually, I had seen it before, but I didn't actually know who she was at the time ;)). You know, in comedy shows like that where it's centered around one main character, it's pretty hard to stand out as a guest star because all of the one-liners and jokes are centered around them. But still, any time she did get a good one-liner, she pulled it off very well. She definately has that snarky, dry, sarcastic thing going on, which I love because it's very me. I must not have been the only one who thought she did something right, because apparently she got quite a few offers for comedy shows after that. So yeah, Emmanuelle rocks the funny.

God, I can't get over how great a snarktastic interrogation with her, Flack, and one very unlucky perp would be! How could the writers deny us that? Snark with those two would = better than sex. That is my one wish for the rest of the NY season now. :D

Heh, could you imagine Flack's face is she started snarking at him in French too? That'd surely knock the guy off his game

Ali, just know that you're playing with fire, kay?[/i]

I do believe I was already brandishing a flaming trident, so a few more burns couldn't hurt. *pokes Fay* :p  :D

Splodey!pants

She'd snark his butt into the ground and then walk off and leave him standing there. Danny would walk up and be like, "what did she just say?" To which Flack would reply, "I have no idea...but I liked it." And Danny would just nod.

Now, now, I think you and I need to come to an agreement to share Emmanuelle--but only if I get AJ every other day. Agreed? :D

*huff* Okay, I guess I could share. You can have AJ too, but I get Eddie, then on weekends we all agree to get together for one big org...uh 'party'. We can even invite Carmine and his video camera if you'd like. ;)

As part of my new found mission to watch everything Emmanuelle has ever been in, I watched 'House Of The Dead 2' today. It also had the guy who played Frankie in it, and a few of CSI guesties that I noticed. I got a kick out of that, CSI: Zombified. :p As zombie b-movies go, this was pretty good. Actually, I really enjoyed it. I mean, what's not to like? Emmanuelle whipping a gun out of her dress, Emmanuelle in a towel, Emmanuelle running around in a dangerously sexy army/SWAT tactical number whilst capping zombie football players at point blank range. It all just screams awesomeness, doesn't it? :D

There's actually unhealthily high amounts of Emmanuelle gun!porn in this. Splodey!pants if there ever was one. I may have to make some caps later.

Anybody know when she's next scheduled to be on NY? All the spoilers I've read don't look good, I might start to get Angell withdrawal symptoms soon.

*brain explodes* Must_see_mooooooovie!!!

*cough* I'm ok now. :)

Angell isn't in 3.18-3.20, but I hope she'll be in at least another episode before the end of the season. ;)

I'm worried they're going to lose Emmanuelle to other projects if they don't beef up her role a little bit. Angell needs to be given more background and more to do!

I've been thinking the same thing. Who can blame her for wanting to seek other projects if what she has on CSI:NY is just a recurring role? Dear writers, please keep her around. ;)
