Eddie Cahill Fan Project Revisited

It's time to revive the Eddie fan project. The original thread fell off the board due to lack of posts. Rather than bringing back the old thread, I'm starting a new one because one of the key details has changed -- namely, the person coordinating the project -- me. :D

There hasn't been any official word in the New York thread, but there has been acknowledgement on the board in general, so I'm sure by now most of you are aware of the tragic loss of one of our valued members, Tuesdaymorning. :( :( :( Tuesday was a rabid Eddie fan and this project was her baby.

The theme of the project is still the same - Eddie Cahill: Most Puckable CSI. The guy is a huge hockey fan so the idea is to play on that. I'm going to send him a box of hockey pucks with personalized messages from you affixed to them, along with a note to the effect that he's the most "puckable". :devil:

How do you participate? I want you all to create messages to Eddie on a circular piece of paper measuring 3 inches in diameter. You can either mail me a 3 inch circle that you have decorated, or email me something that would fit onto a 3 inch circle if I cut it out.

There is one important guideline for this project. While the theme of the project is a dirty little pun, your messages to Eddie should not be dirty. He lives with his girlfriend, who will presumably read your messages. Don't make her hate you. Be respectful. You can still tell Eddie how much you love him, how freakin' adorable you think he is, how fantastic his work is, etc. Just don't be dirty about it.

One other minor detail has changed. Tuesday was asking for $5 donations from everyone to cover the cost of the pucks and shipping. I'm not doing that. Not looking for your money, just your love for Eddie.

If you sent a message to Tuesday for Eddie, unfortunately, I do need to ask that you send it again. This time to me. The good news is that I had just touched base with her on this project last week and know that no one mailed her anything. It was email submissions only up to this point. So, if you emailed her anything, please resend it to me.

If you'd like to participate, please make sure your message reaches me by Friday, October 27th. That gives you a month to get something cute into my hands. If you live overseas and plan to mail yours, please bear in mind that overseas mail takes 10-14 days.

For those wishing to email me their submissions, my email address is debfuji@yahoo.com. If you'd like to mail me your circle, PM me for the address. For those who may have my address from the panty drive, do not use that address. It was a temporary summer address and mail sent there will not reach me. PM me for my home address.

We absolutely cannot drop the ball on this project because Eddie is aware it's coming. Don't want to disappoint one of our hotties by leading him to believe he's got some love headed his way and then not following through. Arrangements have already been made to get this project to him through his manager.

I think that covers everything. Any questions, just ask. Please please please participate. Show Eddie some love. He deserves it!

What happened with Tuesdaymorning? I don't visit the board all that often so I've been out of the loop.
 
This sounds like fun. Eddie needs some lovin'. :D

It is definite now that this was a faked death as sick as that is.

TuesdayMorning was demodded earlier on my suspicions, before getting final confirmation. She is now banned.

I am so sorry that so many, including myself, were upset by this. Some of you were friends with her and this had to have hurt.

All we can take away is that anyone can be who they want to be online and to be careful. Always verify.

I hadn't posted a boardwide announcement initially because I wasn't sure and wished to confirm it. Sadly, my suspicions were right. I can't be sad that someone is alive who was thought dead, but it's a pretty pathetic thing. She was liked of her own accord and didn't need to do such a thing for attention.

Thanks for posting about Tuesdaymorning, allstar. Looks like I am now taking this project over for different reasons than I originally believed. :(

Anyhow, yes, you've all got a month now to get on this Eddie project. So, please show the man some love. :D
 
hey Mrs G!! i think its great that you are taking over this project now!! as much as tuesday morning was loved, i feel you have more deedication for it :D ( no offense to TM.. its jus MO) :D
i shall be thinking about what to put, so look out for my PM for ya addy!!! :D x
 
Um, MrsG, I'm probably going to sound like an idiot, but I set the size for 3 inches on my Photofiltre program and... is it just me or does 3 inches look a tad bit small?
 
Doreencsi i think its because they were going to be put on hockey pucks... maybe Mrs g has changed it but im not sure...?

It's not just you. 3 inches in diameter is really small. Doesn't leave you a whole lot of room. But chelliyah is correct -- they're going to be glued onto hockey pucks. 3 inches in diameter is the size of a hockey puck.

As a random aside, in terms of how the messages will be glued to the pucks, I have a hot glue gun and am quite crafty. It'll come out looking professionally affixed. I'll also use a scrapbooking circular punch to cut out anything that is emailed to me or trim anything that needs to be trimmed, so all edges will perfectly smooth and professional looking.

For those who are able to mail me your contributions, I think that would end up looking more personalized than if I print something you email me. A handwritten message is more personal than a typed one. Of course, some of you are really damn good with photoshop and programs of that nature though.
 
SWEEEEETTTT!!! Yay... I can't wait!! This gives me more time think up something AMAZING to say to Eddie... :)
 
I've already received one message for Eddie and a couple requests for my address, so it looks like this thing just may work out well. :D I know there's lots of love for Eddie here, so let's see some sweet participation on this one. Pretty please?
 
I gotta say, I think this is going to be one awesome project! And I think given his love of hockey, Eddie is going to get a total kick of it! :D
