During breakfast, Mackenzie got a call from work.
"Hello."
"Hey Mackenzie, we need you into work today. One of the big Chief's are coming in to look over your ideas."
"I'm sorry Kelly. I just got out of the Hospital. I'm afraid I won't be able to make it, you'll have to reschedule."
"Are you kidding. This guy is flying in from Tokyo, you have to be here for this presentation."
"I'm sure you can handle Kelly. I trust you."
"Trust me or not, Mrs.Mitchel says you have to be here."
"I said no. Now if she can't understand that, I'm sorry."
"Hold on, I'll transfer you."
As Eric was listening, he knew there was no way in hell his wife was being put under any stress today.
"Mrs.Mitchel, yes, I.....but I....I know...I'm sorry, I just can't do it, my health isn't good, and I still have a chest full of stitches."
"Mrs.Delko. If you can't make this meeting, I'll have to pass you on the promotion I was going to offer you."
"That's fine. I understand. You take care now, and good luck."
Clicking the phone in Mackenzie's ear, she looked at Eric.
"What happened love?"
"Nothing, it's okay. I just lost my promotion. But that's okay, more time to spend with my new family."
Eric could see how upset she was.
"I have an idea. How about we pick up Michael, Anya, MJ, and Caroline, and have a picnic."
"Really daddy, can we?"
"Sure we can. What do you think Mackenzie?"
"Sounds wonderful. You call Michael, the girls can pack the beach stuff, and I'll make the lunch."
As the girls ran upstairs to get their stuff, Eric walked over and wrapped his wfe in his arms.
"Are you going to be okay love?"
Leaning her head back against her husband shoulder, she whispered...
"I'll be fine Eric, don't worry. It's for the best. Especially with another set of trip's coming."
"Awww...come on Mac, dont cry. We'll be fine. I know you love your job, and it's been your life, but we will all make it okay for you, I promise."
Turning in her husbands arms, she wrapped her hands around his face, and said.....
"I don't deserve you Eric, you are to special to belong to us."
"Now you listen to me Mackenzie, it's I who don't deserve you, or our daughters. I never thought I'd find anyone to really love me. But when you and girls came along, that was it for me, you and the girls are my world. I wouldn't trade that for anything in this life."
Kissing his wife between her tears, the girls walked in.
"Awww....looks at mommy and daddy, they's in love." said Shannon.
"Comes on, can we go now?" asked an impatient Sara.
"Very shortly Peanut, I need to call Uncle Michael first."
"K, mama, why you crying?"
"Cause I'm happy Peanut."
"Bout what mama?"
"I'm happy about us having a wonderful daddy, and husband like Eric."
"Know what mama? so are we's."
Over at Danny and Nat's, he was helping her overcome her morning sickness.
"Come on sweetheart, breathe deep, that's it love."
"Baaaaaaaaaaaarfff."
Continuing to rub her back, Danny placed a cold cloth across her neck.
"Shhh...come on sweetheart, I'll get you back in bed."
Once he had her back in bed, He headed to the fridge for some ginger-ale.
"Just rest love, I'll be in all day, unless I get a call out."
"I love you Danny."
"I love you too Nat."
*Ring,Ring*
"Hello, Taylor residence."
"Hi Anya, it's Eric, what are you, Michael, and the kids up to this afternoon?"
"Not alot, just sitting in, playing with Michelle."
"How would you all like to join us at the beach. Mackenzie could really use a good day out with her family."
"Sure, just let me get Michael."
"Hello."
"Hey Michael it's Eric, I was hoping you guys would have some time to come to the beach with us. Mackenzie is having a bad day, and could really use family around her."
"Wow...okay, give us an hour, and we'll meet you there. Oh and Eric...don't forget about family night this friday at dad's. Mom was excited about it, said it's one not to be missed."
"Yeah, I know. See you soon."
Hanging up the phone, Eric knew damn well that video was going to all of a sudden pop up.
