While Mac got Horatio's office set up with his things from NY. He recieved the call from Flack.

"Mac...I think you need to get down here. We've found another female victim. Much younger then the first four."

"I'm on my way Don."

When Mac arrived on the beach, he found his team, along with a young girl who was screaming hysterically.

"Sorry Mac. We've called the parents. The ID on the young girl is Carrie Mathews. The young girl over there is her friend Mandy Deluco. She said her friend went back into the washroom to grab her lotion. But she became concerned when Carrie didn't return to the beach. We found her about thirty feet up from the washroom."

"She doesn't fit the MO of our serial killer. She's to young Don. He prefers his girls 18-20 years of age. Chances are, he could have tossed her, when he realized she was to young for what he wanted."

"Yeah. That's what I was thinking to Mac."

"Sheldon. Time of death?"

"No more then 20 minutes ago Mac. She hasn't even started rigor yet."

"Any idea what killed her?"

"Trauma to the head Mac. She was knocked hard before being thrown from the car. I'd say he slammed her head in between the door. If you look, you can see the mark from the door of car."

As Mac looked closer, he noticed the blue paint transfer in her hair. Putting on his gloves he took a piece, and placed it in the evidence bag.

"Danny!! get this to Adam."

"Sure Mac."

"Eric...have the parents arrived?"

"Just now Mac. They are over here."

Walking over Mac introdiced himself.

"I'm Lt.Mac Taylor of the Miami-Dade Crime Lab. I'm sorry about your child."

"You're sorry??? That's all you have to say. Just what the hell are you doing? Why is this killer still on our streets? This is your fault...all of you are to blame. You killed my baby. All of you by not catching him sooner."

Mac could understand her pain.

"Once again Ma'am, I'm very sorry."

Turning with her husband, they walked away towards their car.

"I'm sorry Mac. She had no right to talk to you like that. You just took over the lab, it's me she should be blaming."

"No Eric. I took the position. Therefore the responsibility is mine. We need to catch this guy fast."

Walking back towards the crime scene, Mac eyed the bystanders. Hoping to find someone or something that wasn't right.

Meanwhile....

Mackenzie had her hands full. She had her six, plus Michelle.

"Damn P.A Days. They should have pre-school everyday," she sighed to herself.

"Mommy...I'm hungry. We have lunch now?"

"Sara, you are going to have to wait. I'm still feeding Serina."

"I know mama. Can we have a cookie then? Just till you're done."

"Okay. But only one each, understand?"

"Yes mommy."

Running back downstairs, Sara stretched up and grabbed the cookie jar.

"Mommy said we can have one cookie each."

As they dug their hands into the jar, Danger, Loser, and Peanut, decided they wanted in the action. Jumping up, they knocked the cookie jar out of Sara's hands.

"Auuuuuuuuuuuuugh....No. Bad puppies. Look at the mess. Come on you guys, help me clean. Mommy will be mad."

As the kids scrambled to pick up the cookies, Michelle waddled away and began climbing the stairs. Looking back behind her and giggling, Mackenzie could hear the laughter. Running towards the stairs, she seen Michelle trying to turn around. Knowing if she startled her, she would fall backwards and be seriously hurt. Mackenzie tried to sneak up on her.

"Mama...the puppies made a ........"

*Boom, boom, boom.*

"Oh my God....Michelle."

come on, what's next???

:lol::lol:This is what I love, Melly's temper:lol::lol:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Falling down three of the carpeted steps, Michelle landed on Danger. Running down, Mackenzie picked up her sister, as she giggled. Checking her over for any bumps or scrapes, she couldn't find any.
Still trying to get her heart to calm down, Michelle continued to giggle.
"I don't see anything funny you little monkey."
Hearing the door, Michelle turned and said....
"Mama..."
Stretching her arms, Stella took her into her arms.
"You okay Mackenzie? You look like you seen a ghost."
"I almost saw death mom. Your daughter, my sister, decided to climb my stairs. Giggling all the way mind you. Then falling down the three of them she landed on Danger, still giggling."
Stella looked her daughter over. She seems fine love. I just thought I'd stop by to see how you were doing with all the troops."
"Okay. I just got the tripp's back to sleep. Now I'm just about to make the kids lunch. Would you like something?"
"No. I have to get back love. Do you have a safety gate?"
"Yeah. I'll be sure to put up when I have the kids settled with lunch."
Taking her sister back in her arms, she sat her in the highchair.
"Mommy, is Michelle okay? She went boom, boom, boom down the steps."
"She's fine Shannon. Can you do mommy a favour and get the milk from the fridge?"
"I can do that mommy."
Running to the kitchen, Shannon grabbed the milk, and brought it to the table.
Helping her daughter set up lunch. Her phone went off.
"Taylor."
"Stella, it's Danny. We need you at the lab. Mac's called a meeting about our serial killer."
"Okay Danny. I'll be right there. I have to go love. I'll be back as soon as I can."
Kissing her dauhgters, and grandbabies good bye, she headed back to the lab.
After lunch, Mackenzie put on a movie for the girls, while she put Michelle down for her nap. Then tackling the kitchen, she did up the dishes, cleaned up the cookies, and flopped into a chair.
"Oh poor mommy. Are you all tuckered out? Want a hug mommy?"
"Mommy would like that Sara. Come here sweetheart."
Cuddling her mommy close. Mackenzie had to admit she felt alot better.
When the movie ended, the girls noticed mommy was sleeping.
"Shh...don't wake mommy. Let's go play in our rooms."
"We can't Sara. The babies are sleeping, and so is Michelle."
"As long as we stay quiet, mommy won't mind."
"I don't know Sara."
"Shannon's right Sara. Let's just play with the dogs outside."
Heading outside. The girls played on their swings.
At the Lab
Everyone was waiting on Stella.
"Come on Mac. Were is she?"
"She said she was on her way Don. Give her time."
"Where was she Danny?"
"At Mackenzie's Mac." I could hear the kids in the background.
"She should be here any minute then."
"I'm here. I'm here. Don't panic."
Sitting down beside her boys, she smiled.
"How's Michelle?"
"How did you know where I was?"
"I just know you Stella. So how is she?"
"Umm...after flying down Mackenzie's stairs, and landing on Danger. She's fine."
"I'm sorry love?"
"It seems our little monkey decided to climb up Mackenzie's stairs. I guess she turned around and fell. But she's fine Mac. As I said, she landed on Danger."
"Okay....Ummm...back to the case. As it stands right now. Flack has set Officers up on patrol at the beaches, and on the streets. From what Adam discovered from that blue paint chip in the victims hair. Only three car dealerships deal in that color. "
"Exactly what color is it Mac?"
"Blue, green, purple, all depends on the lighting, and the way it reflects."
Everyone was confused.
"Mac...cars can only be certain colors."
That's we thought. Adam checked that paint chip. Apparently it's called Variocrom. A new paint that has variable pigments. Changing the color of the car, each time it moves. There is a total of 50 cars on the market right now with this type of paint. So the car should be easy to find."
Adam took over.
Take this sample, and have a look it. See how it reflects against the light? That's the Variocrom. It's the neatest stuff. Very expensive too."
"Can it be used on all cars? Or just certain cars right now?"
"If you have the money. It can be done. Which leads me to believe that your serial is either very rich, or has quiet a bit of pull in the motor industry."
"Thanks Adam. That's it for now."
"Sure. See you later."
"Okay....Danny, Eric. I have a list for you two. There are 25 manufactures on this list. I want you two to cover 13 of them. Stella and Flack will do the other 12. One of these Dealerships are going to carry this paint. Take the samples and show it around."
"Okay Mac."
After everyone left. Mac drove over to Mackenzie's to check on his little Michelle.
Aw.. Cute Michelle. :lol: Mackenzie is as strong as Stella huh? :lol: This chapter is BRILLIANT! Can't wait for what will happen in next chapter. :)
Those kids and those pups ... poor Mackenzie she's got her hands full. :lol:
Variocrom sounds cool. When they first said it was blue, green or purple depending on the lighting, I was thinking they were gonna say something about it being iridescent (sp?).
Good chapters.
When Mac walked into his daughters home. He found her sound asleep.
"Mackenzie, Mackenzie wake up."
"Hmm. Oh God. I fell asleep, where's the girls. Oh God, I'm so sorry dad."
"Calm down sweetheart. The girls are out back playing on their swings. I just stopped by to check on Michelle. Your mom said she fell down your stairs."
"Oh...yeah dad. She's fine. Lucky for me Danger was laying at the bottom step at the time. She's upstairs."
Walking up the stairs, Mac could hear his Michelle making sounds. Opening the door, she seen her daddy.
"Dada...uppy dada."
"There's my little monkey."
Picking her up in his arms, Mac checked her over.
"She's fine dad. Mom already inspected her. Still concerned as ever. I can remember the times Michael and I got bumps and bruises. You were always right there, inspecting every inch of us. Then you would give us one of your big teddy bear hugs."
"You young lady are never to old for my teddy bear hugs."
Walking towards his other dauhgter, Mac embraced her tightly.
"Listen Mackenzie. Is this to much for you? You seen really tired lately. By chance you're not pregnant again, are you?"
"No. What would make you think that daddy?"
"Well...the last time I seen you sleep like that, was when you were pregnant with the trip's."
"You're crazy dad. I'm fine. And I'm not pregnant."
Mac hoped she wasn't. The trip's were just coming up on their first birthday. The last thing his daughter needed were new additions to the already growing Delko family tree.
"Okay love. I need to get back to work."
"Hey dad?"
"Yeah love?"
"How are you enjoying being back in the field?"
"I love it sweetheart."
"That's what mom said too."
Heading out the door. Mac drove back to Miami-Dade. While Mackenzie dug in her drawer for her left over pregnancy kit. Waiting the five minutes, she looked at the stick.
"Negative. Thank you God."
Meanwhile....
He looked at his car. He noticed the paint job was chipped.
"Christ...I need to ditch this car. God damn it, all that money I put into it. Damn....that means that girls got my paintchips in her hair. What the hell am I going to do. They'll be onto me now."
Still driving, he could feel his panic setting in. Oh he knew he would be good and caught. Especially if he didn't ditch the car. Driving out the Glades, he placed a stick between the peddle and seat. Putting the car into full speed, he watched as it plunged into the swampy water.
"Sink you son of a bitch. That's it, sink."
Once he was sure the car was buried enough in the swamp. He headed to the Dealership to buy a new one. When he arrived, he noticed the two CSI's asking questions.
"Look. All we wat to know, is do you have any customers that purchased this color of paint, or have boughten a car with Variocrom?"
"Listen, I told you before, now I'll tell you again. No!!!"
While Flack looked around, he noticed the owner had three cars in the back of his store being worked on.
"Hey!!!! you can't go back there. I know my rights. You need a damn warrant."
"Why would we need a warrant if you have nothing to hide?"
"That's it. I'm calling my lawyer. You can come back, when you have the warrant."
Flack and Stella knew getting a warrant at this time would be difficult. For the guy had done nothing wrong. Besides that, they were playing on a hunch.
"What do you think Don?"
"I think I'll put a couple Officers on this Dealership. That way we can keep our eye on Mr.Palmedow."
Getting into their Hummer, their killer watched as they pulled away.
:lol: at Mackenzie thanking God for her test being negative.
Loved Mac saying she wasn't too old for a hug. Cute!
Good chapter. :)
A few hours later, Stella picked up Michelle.
"Hi sweetheart. I'm here to get Michelle."
"Mama."
"Hi little monkey. Get into any more trouble?"
*Giggles*
"Where's dad mom? Eric got home an hour ago, and took the girls out for ice cream."
"He's working late love. He has alot of files and paperwork to get caught up on."
"Aww..Poor daddy. I bet he wishes he never took the Lt. job now. Doesn't he?"
"Quite the opposite. He's in his eliment Mackenzie. This is what he needed. I knew deep down he wasn't ready to retire."
"I guess your right. Did you guys have any luck in solving the case yet?"
"Not yet. But we're getting closer. Hopefully we catch him before another girl is murdered."
"I hope so too. So do you want to stay for supper mom?"
"No. Not tonight. I'm going to get our little monkey home. I'll see you in the morning Mackenzie. I love you sweetheart."
"I love you too mom. Night."
As Stella headed out the door, Eric was coming in with the girls.
"Hi mom. Where's dad?"
"He's still at the lab. Catching up on old case files."
"Ooops....sorry. I know I was far behind. Maybe I should go help him. It's my mess after all."
"Now you never mind. Your dad is very capable of getting everything in order quickly. So enjoy your time with the kids."
Thanks mom. You have no idea what a relief I felt when dad took over the lab."
"Oh...I think I have an idea. You two have a good night. And have some fun for once."
"We will. Night mom."
When Stella got home with Michelle, she made them supper. Gave Michelle her bath, and spent some one on one time with her before putting her to bed.
"What would you like to do Michelle? Build with your blocks, or read with mommy?"
Pointing to the book....
"Ook mama."
Sitting her up on her lap. Stella began reading Little Red Riding Hood. Just as she got to the last chapter, she noticed Michelle was sound asleep. Laying her in her bed. She covered her up, kissed her head, and left her room.
Heading into the shower. She turned on the taps, and allowed the spray to wash away her day. She knew it was going to take a while to get use to working again. But it was all worth it. For she had missed it just as much as Mac.
Wrapping herself in a thick towel. She climbed out, walked into the bedroom, and seen Mac standing there, admiring her body.
"You're home. Are you hungry?"
Stella knew he was hungry alright. But not for food. Oh no, he was starving for her. Feeling her body give off a chill, he walked towards her. Standing in front of her, he pulled off her towel, picked her up, and laid her on their bed.
So much heat, and passion she could feel radiating from his touch, his look, his need that burned in his eyes.
Not caring about the finesse of taking it to a romantic level. Stella allowed him to take her quickly and swiftly into the night. With the only words that could be heard, surrounding their room......
"I missed you....."
