Oh Gosh. Thank you so much for this spoiler, Under_Cover!!!

Why add elements of characters we already have/had?! That's bullshit. If you're to add anything new, well make it NEW, for shit's sake :scream:. I don't want reheated crap, bad leftovers that nobody wants... No, no, no. *shakes head in disbelief*

I'm just disappointed that TV Guide didn't give us any juicy new details that we didn't already know. :shifty:

Hahaha, well, I think we already know everything that needs to be known now : Kaye will suckz. So, no matter what they're going to say now... The only thing that will get my attention is when they're going to say who will play her. Then, I stop being interested lol

What can you tell us about CSI: NY's decision to hire a new CSI? — Karla

TIM: The show recently sent out casting notices for the new series regular role of Kaye Sullivan, a young, attractive risk-taker whose personality has elements of Lindsay, Dr. Peyton Driscoll and ADA Natalie Greer (played for two episodes by Heather Mazur). How do we know? Because the audition script prepared for prospective Kaye Sullivans consists of dialogue spoken by those familiar characters.

i'm not impressed it just seems like she is going to be a miss match of all the female roles ever been on the show!
i took me gloves off to give her a chance i was gonna at least see who was cast but i'm already disliking her why bring in someone new? i liked it how it was and i know it can get ratings doing something like this but CBS has to know it can lose them too people like a show when it gets into a good run and messing with it can work out bad.

*sigh* Are we supposed to be feeling happy and/or enthusiastic about the newbie? Meh! The more I read about her, the less I like her. I haven't even seen her and I'm already wishing a really evil villain kicks her perfectly perfect ass.

Is it just me or do I feel nauseous after reading this?:wtf:

OKay, we just had an Aiden Copy (Jess)...do we seriously need a copy of Peyton, Lindsay, and Natalie all f#%ked together...? :scream:

I was never a fan of Lindsay, to be honest. At first, she was okay; now she's just a self-important twit with a cute baby. :p

Peyton was just Peyton; when Mac and her were dating (gag!), he was the one that always did somehing wrong; she was "lil'-miss-British-was-always-perfect-and-could-do-no-wrong". Gag.

Don't remember much about Natalie, but just a combination of Peyton and Lindsay is just...*shudders, eye twitches* Don't need a third to make it much worse.

Did you guys see the possible cover for the S5 DVD? Here's the link if you haven't yet: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/CSI-NY-Season-5/12203

Love Stellas' jacket on the cover! >///< :) :adore:

id love to see a cover with all the cast but i guess after 5 seasons it's not gonna happen now

The only team cover I remember them having for the DVD cover was for the S1 DVD. :( Mac and Stella were kneeling down when the others were standing. Mostly blues and dark colours. It was cool though...I miss Aiden! :( :( :(

I also think that they should have made it a team cover. 'Cause it's not just about Mac and Stella, the main main characters. The CSI Franchise are very team-oriented so they should have the whole team on the cover. *Points at whoever designed the cover* Blame him/her.

*Sighs* What can we do? Dumba$$ TPTB is wrecking the show...:( Just sad...

I wonder what extras will be on the DVD...? Hmm...

Oh-my-god-oh-my-god-oh-my-god. :brickwall:

Is anyone else finding it irritating that they're not even attempting to draw from the more well-rounded characters (female or male)? They're not even trying to give her good flaws. She's sounding like the Supreme-Mary-Sue - I already can't stand her, and she hasn't even been cast. I don't see how this is not going to turn into Lindsay v. 2.0. Any flaws that Kaye Sullivan will have, the actress will likely have to try and add on her own (to make the character more believable)...and they'll probably clash with the vision-of-perfection that Kaye Sullivan is supposed to be, which is going to cause at least as much disconnect as Belknap/Lindsay.

In my mind ( sometimes a very scary place, I know) Kaye Sullivan could go either way. She could be the next new Mary Sue or...

I can see her just as easily as a know-it-all with her shiney new graduate degree. She's sexy and a risk-taker, which makes me think she's not going to be by-the-book (sound like Danny to anyone else?). And she and Lindsay could be at odds over just about anything if she pulls a superior attitude in the lab 'cause Lindsay doesn't like attitude...at all. I'd like to see Lindsay support Adam if the new girl goes all attitude on him. I don't necessarily see her being all cutsey about everything. I think her eagerness to learn could get her into plenty of trouble without making her a Mary Sue.

But those are just my musings for today. Tomorrow I will probably have another scenario all planned out. I tend to change my mind alot:lol:.

^ I kinda see Kaye like that too lol But if she got an attitude, I'd like anyone on the team to put her back to her place!!! lol But like I said, it sounds like they're going to serve us reheated crap we don't want... and crap we never wanted in the first place. She either sounds like a Mary-Sue to my ears or a disaster waiting to happen.

I really think I could easily love Kaye if she was at all like that - bossy and know-it-all-y with an attitude. That would be something I'd actually want to watch. But see, those would be notable flaws, ones that the team could/would take her to task for. And I don't really have much faith in the writers' ability to write Kaye Sullivan in with those flaws (since we haven't really seen a female character that well-rounded since Season 1, with Aiden and Stella - characters they actually thought out with more care). Especially given how quickly they seem to have thrown her together and are already casting her.

iCKKKKKKKKK:eek::eek::eek: The first time i read spoilers suggesting they were looking for someone who could be like Peyton (at least using part of her lines) I didn't pay attention:eek: but now:wtf::wtf::wtf:
The only positive thing of having someone like Peyton around would be to show how inapropiate she was for Mac:angryrazz:. And certainly she doesn't sound appealing as CSI IF she is in that way:wtf:

But a mixture among Peyton, Lindsay and Natalie Greer (Who the heck is Natalie Greer???) sounds a recipe for success...or for disaster:lol::lol:

Debbie (I do hope she will be a great team mate for Stella:bolian:)

Maybe Mary Poppins could after all she is "practically perfect in every way"! Pass the bucket Im going to throw up...anyone else?).

And she and Lindsay could be at odds over just about anything if she pulls a superior attitude in the lab 'cause Lindsay doesn't like attitude...at all.
Now that would be worth tuning in for a "Cat fight"! As far as superior attitude Lindsey wins the prize, her arrogance and superiority complex being challenged may be worth popcorn. My bets on Kaye!!
